Chasms

That seemingly uncrossable chasm
Between youth and as old age
Is all too easily bridged
As tomorrows become yesterdays

Premium Member Simon

I’ve heard that Simon says a lot;
Be it IBM’s or the Bible’s rock;
Which one is it? I know not;
He bridged troubled waters;
But simple pie man he is not;

sea buckthorn in a dense hedge screen
between ceanothus shade green

by a trickling stream so shallow
willows shadow flowering mallow

stone-bridged hamlets nestle in the dales
ancient walled fields along their vales

Premium Member Two ships crossed

eyes met
faces lit up
in expectancy
but the distance
between head and heart
could not be bridged
innocence wept
gifted moment lost
for now ethereal vibrations
recognising oneness
remain barren
denied the caress
of love sublime by touch

Knitting the Brume

Light streams manipulate vaporous violin strings
meandering about open casements;
flantando melodies float, dream bridged sighs.
At table, coffee steam rises, knitting the brume,
hooding her sorrow pricked eyes.

Lee bridged the race divide
when prejudice had nowhere to hide-
Riding a mustang in the sky
His deeds gave bigotry the lie,
sterotyping his,to defy.

Premium Member We Say Goodbye To Connie

We say goodbye to Connie with sorrow

For there won't be any love tomorrow

Her gifts to the community aglow

Allowing the ranks to look up, and grow

Her passage crossed hearts and bridged PS to flow

To Obtain Peace

We must unite, unite
Voices need to be heard
Gaps need to be bridged
Wrongs need to be righted
Fences need to be mended
Differences must be talked about
From east to west, north to south

Many think peace is not obtainable
Today, tomorrow
But through faith in god
And is divine plan
We can do anything

Like the lyrics go
"Give peace a chance"

Fossil Worlds Yearning

Fossil Worlds Yearning

I
find
fossils;
this is my
passion and calling.
But layers of strata show a
separation from them to me, telling me of deep
time passing that will never be bridged. Oh, how I wish I could go back to those past worlds!

For my dear departed friend Dr. Terrence Frest, paleontologists/malacologists. Like those past worlds I wish him back.

Premium Member some philosophy problems

if...
a philosophy may...

be
a full-loss-of-fee
or
a phi-loss-of-why
or
a full-loss-of-phi

and...a diction-airy be

as
a thesaurus that
be
as the-soar-us
or
as the-sour-us
or
as the-sore-us

then...use your mental wording

as came-bridged in the mind
that
a meant-all-diction can
sew
a conversation without
being
a converse that stays shunned

Premium Member Some National Treasures

Brecon Beacons for pony-treks,
Cumbrian fells and bubbling becks;
Lake District views beloved of bards
Stone-bridged hamlets in the
Dales with enclosed leas along its vales.
Snowdonia ,one thousand yards high
reached by slow trains up to the sky.
Pembroke with its distant trail so
long,
heritages for us to protect and prolong.

National treasures to preserve and
enjoy by rich,...the famous ...and hoi poloi.

Mirror

It’s not a Wonderland
until you conceptualise it.
A series of discrete events
you could arrange in any order
and they’d still make sense.
She’s a moment in fiction,
in the reality of your mind.
Sometimes it matters more
how things seem to you
than how they actually are.
She’s a subjective reality
which mirrors both ways.
It’s a story of gaps, bridged
like neurons across synapses.
The Wonderland of imagination.

Grooming Gaunt Gloom

callous clouds hummed
sassy syllables puked
dripping dark dribbles
vying veil trickles
amputated atmosphere bewitched
spooky spell enriched

thrilled trees trailed
crumbling crescendos' wail
rusty rhythm raved

nudging nature nimble
munching meagre mumble
bounty boulevard hurdled

bridged blitzkrieg bruised
grooming gaunt gloom.

Thanks To Arany

Thanks for your far away conversation
My sister sacred as veil
Falling before the curatain of Shekinah
We by this have bridged
Disparate parts in the hypothesis of the divine
It all depends on the instrument
We make ourselves become
And since you and have stripped
The calculations away
From particles in seeds of clay
We can pulse as a common wave
Merging, amplifying nodes
Of current longing to be one
Infinite love in a finite hand
The final presentation of gift.

Space Between Stars

watching through the lenses
rubies of midnight sky
connected like red threads
stained with night's dye

thousands of miles apart
thousands of lives in between
the blind connection remains
like messages left unseen

minimal yet eternal void
bridged with untold memories
the love and the hatred
the reliefs and the worries

stories to remember through years
of how the stars waited eagerly
praying the space in-between to decline
so they could collide eternally...

The Bridged Breach

A demised man without
Jesus is dead.
So also living soul without
Jesus.
Jesus manifested
for purposes,
What purposes?
The hopeless.
to receive hope,
To set the captives free,
Destroying forces
Of darkness.
With thirty pieces;he
Manifested.
Dark forces defeated.
Our sins forgiven,sure
Access to the father.
Breach in Adamic time,
Put in oblivion by lasting
Bridge-
access granted.
His love is lasting.
The death of Jesus!
Lo He has resurrected!
He lives!

Every Soul day's Feast: Christ's Resurrection

Every soul is liberated
  the day Christ went
   down to the grave
     Ascending high
       above heaven,
Christ bridged the gap
between earth and sky,
          like a cloud
parting from the ocean
Sacrificed and sanctified
with his blood of all sinners.
The word once a prophecy
now, a liberating source of all man.
  The early Church tradition,
     Now a worldwide feast
           here on earth
    Redeemed but bleeds
      as a sacrificial lamb
         once and for all.

Calm the Stone

Clear The Calm
     Calm The Stone

The distance between reality and fantasy close
Bridged by altered universes where they merge
Elastic in a dream of possibilities
As solid as the Earth born in an orbit
Stones become calm
Weather forces wear them down to size
Where they become smooth over time
Round or oval in every way, shape and form
Rocks grow into planets when this happens
Fall all together from the sky
Escape in every instance that they can
Back into sand where it all began
