DNA from God
Breathed into my soul at birth
Keeps hope, faith and love,
The essence of my being,
Enclosed in mortal body.
I escaped outside for peace
Among the flowers and the grasses
And breathed – and layed my burden down
On my corrective glasses
The fleeting image of everything

Do you fear dying?
Have you breathed utter darkness
that tests your resolve?
The night is ghastly only
if you lose sight of Heaven.

Breathed by God, dust springs to life,
seeking to expand at any cost,

My grandmother lost her glass eye
She sneezed when she breathed in a fly
As her eyeball flew by
She exclaimed my oh my
My glass eye has learned how to fly
Grateful I am, being by God breathed,
as soul’s light, within heart’s retrieved.

You slipped into my life
silk over my fragile frame
eyes sparkling in the night
hand wrapped around my jaw
warm lips on my forehead
I had never breathed so slowly
let us look at spirit indwelling form
recognising we are all by God breathed
poised in peace in the midst of every storm
with cravings of ego in bliss mists sheathed
Life breathed in
A soul created
A body invented
Melodious they play
In harmony of love
spreading the songs
everywhere
There once was a real smelly hillbilly
Got a case of bad breath from hot chili
He breathed, and banzai
You thought you might die
He'd add curry powder willy-nilly
