Untitled
be brave
when darkness comes
and braver still
when not for you
it lingers in
the broken heart
and feeds upon
unquenched desire...

do me a favor
Jesus my mighty savior
make me become braver
And make me start watching

Katharine the Great
Bigger than every stage
she commanded
Greater than the sum
of her parts
Braver than the men
who adored her
Sharper than the image
—that endures

Premium Member The Brave
Brave is the one who, against all odds over his enemies, is able to prevail

But

Braver is he who succeeds in subduing his passions that his heart impale.

Braver Man
He lived hard
 Lived fast
But luck was
 Rarely his
He got hurt
 Many times
And with time
 The pain grew
Till one day
 He did do
Some act I
 Could never do
Took a gun
 With one shot
Stopped the pain
 Made it end
That I could
 Never do
He was
 A braver man...

Sighs
The fresh chill
Of November morn
The stare of icy eyes
While the sun is born
Fetal innocence
Unaware, the Fall demise
Young oak unconvinced
Not older braver trees.
Blow north wind
Unfettered
Against the shallow charms
And golden warmth, deterred
By fragile youth's alarms....

Jenny
Jenny eat her probiotics
eating foreign leaves
chewing on the cud
the machinations of the wise
foreleign days
back lit
She is braver each day
said she hadn't the time to choose
but she still believes
in the duty of self improvement
A message to the earnest
she find her garland summer...

Remember
Remember.
you are stronger than those who fight you More valuable than those who devalue you
Braver than those who intimidate you
Enough. You are enough.
You are smarter than those who put you down
More beautiful than you can ever imagine
More loving than those who choose to hate
Enough. You are totally enough....

A Common Man I Am
Like any common man I grope
And struggle to survive and be
Bold with Dignity and Hope
For life is hard and not so easy.

But this I say has made me braver
My hardships laid the lessons learned
Gave Wisdom, insight, character
My joy complete, sincerely earned.

Mirror Image
She is my mirror
Sometimes smarter, sometimes braver
Always taller, but sometimes naïve
She is my mirror
And I watch as she morphs
180 degrees away, yet identical
She is my mirror
Reflecting only the good in me
Someone is casting a shadow
But on whom?

She is my mirror
If she insists on reflecting me
I must be whom I want to see...

Masquerade
Many a soul has worn a mask,
Altering how they feel.
Some feel braver others more shy,
Queens have been known there to mingle.
Under these faces we hide our disgraces,
Enemies can become lovers.
Ready to prove we are special,
Actually we are just weak.
Disguising our inner beauty,
Each one of us plays Masquerade.

Honestly
Honestly I wish I was braver,
taller,
my nose smaller,
my fingers longer,
hair blonder, teeth whiter,
my thighs firmer
I wish I woke up earlier,
wasn't so late,
Read more,
Cared more,
Loved more,
Danced more,
I wish I tried harder,
wasn't so negative,
smiled longer,
stood straighter,

Honestly...I wish people weren't so Honest....

My Man
MY MAN MIGHT NOT LOOK LIKE CLOONEY
OR BE FAMOUS LIKE ROONEY
BUT HE WILL MAKE ME SWOON
AND IN DARK BE MY MOON

HE MIGHT NOT SING LIKE MAYER
AND LIKE HIM, WON'T BE A PLAYER
BUT HE WILL SURELY BE BRAVER
AND HE WILL LEAVE ME NEVER

TOGETHER WE WILL WEAVE OUR STORY
AND NEVER WILL WE BE WEARY
FOR OUR DAYS WILL BE SWEETER
THAN ALL THERE'S THAT GLITTER...

Son of God and My Lord

When I want to be bold and much braver,
Always bright being on my best behavior;
Looked all around;
Guess who I found?
Jesus Son of God also my Lord and Savior.

Adventure - A Didactic Cinquain

Adventure?
Imagined, GRAND...
Experimenting, traveling in space, total care giving?
Braver that I, perhaps?
Dangerous undertaking??

Astronaut?
Maybe not, GREAT...
Wonders of wondering, minds racing, embraced memories?
Jottings, DOWN, perhaps?
Whom am I writer or adventure ??

Slaves of Love
slaves of love in darkness
On curious views
In robes of patience
Feeding on fear
Running in tears
Seeking a leader Braver than Man
Day breakers summoned
By outcomes of yesterday
Pregnant with life
On a journey to an endless tomorrows
Surrounded by joy and sin
Under force of mortality
Faith was dethroned
Knowing seized concluding
Witnessing was a mouthful
In age of miracles...

Cold
Last time I thought
I was loving you
forever

Now I don't think
that's true

I have to admit
I was wrong

I'm over you

You are just
a moment
a lost memory

I'm stepping aside
for others
to fill my void

It's funny
I never thought
this could be

I don't
need you now
Maybe
I never had

You never did

I'm free
but I'm cold

I'm strong and braver
than I'll ever be

but I'm cold...

Prayers As Children
As we were given
Raising our arms to heaven
Shows that we were braver than
Ask and seek
He hears us speak
Down on our knees
The angels are pleased
Parting the sky
God heart resides
Smile shining brightly
As God walks within thee
Playing with me in the sand
We shall always be hand in hand
Laughter from joy
He does enjoy
Learn as we grow
As we were shown
Birds are singing
He is amongst the living...

Who Starves and Who Eats
you can smile in the midst of pain
are you braver than me
you can choose contentment over happiness
are you braver than me
are you more humane than me
you can feed me my own egotistical tendencies
are you braver than me
are you more humane than me
are you even more deserving than me

you can shock me
- but only if i am shocked
you can have the power
- but only if i am powerless

who starves and who eats?...

Sap..
Tip your wing to the deep blue sky
your free to roam your free to fly,
Feel the wind upon your face
gliding free in the open space,
Soar above and be our guide
for knowing you holds no stronger pride,
No braver spirit no brighter eyes
in the night we'll watch the skies,
We'll sing for you a native prayer
feel a breeze and know your there,
Watch over us as we would you
for the lives you touched are touched so true....

Premium Member Kiss Ups Are Annoying
I am braver than I was yesterday for sure.
My diabolical motives and sorted out missions decidedly pure.
With hidden agenda I sneak up for little attack.
Hi! Says kiss up employee. I have your back.
Being boss is no fun in any good way.
This “hi” makes me grumpy until end of day.
All kiss ups are annoying with nothing to say.
I resolutely decide to try my plan again tomorrow.
Kiss up is there again, much to my sorrow....

Premium Member Military Philosophy
I push you,
You push me.
We both lose.
Being brave is being insolent.
We don't know what we defend.
We defend pride and narrow-mindedness.
We defend our past,
Our good memories.
We've never been on the other end of a bullet.
Military philosophy?
Knowing-when-to-draw-your-weapons philosophy?
Philosophy is exploring the why.
Bullets are a fatal solution.
I shoot you,
You shoot me.
I am braver than you.
I have more bullets....
