The Strength of My Ink

The strength of my ink

begins when I think,

with a glass of water to drink

as I brainstorm words to link

my pen prints out the ink.

As I fall asleep , my eyes blink

My thoughts shrink

Without strength, I wink

Premium Member Brainstorm: a Letter To a Poetess

When the sun tries not to shine
And the rain won't fade away
When the clouds black the sky
And you can't tell night from day
Remember why we're here
We make the world a better place
When the tempest is severe
It's the tide we can change

Uninspired

A void
A vacuum
I am an empty space and unyielding
Barren and dry
A word desert
A vulture lands and picks at
a dead sentence
The clouds of a brainstorm
hover and shrink in the distance
And the air is stale with the unimaginative
I can tell that nothing good
will be written tonight

Premium Member Alone In Words

ALONE IN WORDS
I cower from the rumbling squall of loneliness and shrink from the shards of misdirected words. The mantle of hope escapes my ambitions, forever silencing my courage. I am drowning in discontent. From Brainstorm 10/16/2018 For Divisa 4 Poetry Contest 02/25/2021

Premium Member Flatulence of the Brain

Thoughts are growing
going faster
twisting spinning
a disaster
jumping thumping
bumping banging
alarms are ringing
clinging clanging
mental meltdown
overloading
whirlwind
brainstorm
mind exploding!

Brain brain
go away
Robin doesn't
want to play
you just have
too much to say
save it for
another day!

Where they speak
Where they compose
Where they brainstorm
Where they act out
To create
To make right
To edge perfection

Then it septed through
The murky waters of
Knowledge
Those who's and
and what's
Straighten out
the unfralls

Don't go to all this trouble

Don't go to all this trouble
Writing your dairy
Every single day
If you don't enjoy doing it
Just to please me
Yes you have to brainstorm
So you will get an idea
What to write
Don't use you dark feelings
When you are writing in you dairy
Please use the bright feelings
When you are also writing your dairy
I will not read your dairy
Because it is personal
And it also belong to you

Poets like word play new,
departing from conventional structural norm,
in Minichu.

Syllable makes
unique experimental form,
rhyme shakes.

Type’s flair
incites brainstorm,
rare.

Him about me

I said ,"I love you ,"
He asked ," How so?"
I said," I troubleshoot and brainstorm there,
Where you are truly guiding me to lead a way
To clean the silence
Not to silence the clean."

He said, "I live there
pay my rent
Monthly utilities too!

Sometimes audible
Sometimes dusable."

I asked, "There?
You mean... There?
Do they have golden hair
Or heir, there?"

He shrugged,
"Just in June, sing soon!"

Premium Member The Discovery of the Bagel

Whoever came up with the bagel
  was a right-smart clever fellow
His brainstorm surely ranks up there
with taste treats like pudding and jello

For I'd never put toppings on pudding
like lox, tomatoes or cream cheese
And who would think of serving jello
  with an assortment of delicacies

So, a doff of the cap and three cheers
  for that purely anonymous soul
the centerpiece of whose discovery
was quite an ace in the hole

Brainstorm

Brainstorm
No peace
Never rest
Trapped
Whirlwind anger and fear
Mind's eye blurring
Seething with hate
One hundred miles per hour
Consuming rage
What you have done
Can never be

Brainstorm
Blinding pain
No escaping
Mindless hopelessness
You beg forgiveness of me
That can never be
I'll have my revenge
Blood in my eyes

This storm will pass
When I lay you in a grave

The Best Parts of My Usual Normal

3:50am
nobody on the highway
another long commute to work
shuggie otis, take me away
inspiration information takes my attention off the road
what i have yet to discover is now my brainstorm breakfast

4:47am
my favorite parking space away from the normalistics
another dreamland excursion nap
mr. sandman, take me away
unpredictable inception takes my whole body and mind away from this here reality
what i have always wished for is now my shocking blue carnation
