I have fish bone prick
doctor said open your mouth
It is in my foot.
leopard ate an only boy

On the other side of the lake
there is a large mountain
and some other hills
like huge bones
coming up from earth
they seems to be exhumed
in the horizon

My husband and I both yelp and groan
Chewing so hard now, there is a bit of foam
While my husband chews, I write this poem
no harm was intended
but great harm was done
fear informs her actions
on a daily basis
and from the bloodless wound
seeps the essence
of who she might have been
For love we woo,
say I do when
so few are found -
loveless, alone,
hold their phone like

never kin with
