South Carolina Sun
Palm trees fingers stretch in the sweltering breeze,
bending over graciously,
It shelters Mr. Bluejays retreat,
Above, clouding blue skies prepare to shower,
No movement in this afternoon sauna,
Life must wait for South Carolina sun to settle....

Premium Member Baby Brown Bear
Beautiful butterflies bewitch baby brown bear,
Beside blessed bluejays bobbing between blueberry bushes.

Bedazzled bumbling bear brokenhearted,
Because butterfingers breaks big branches.

But by beginning brisk bravery,
Baby brown bear's behavior benefits beaming biodiversity!

Short will do,
she said,
but not dull;
something beautiful.

*

Light fills the snowflake,
rainbow-goosepimples.
The snowflake melts.

*

The bluejays have gone.
I don't know where.
One feather is left
on my shelf.

*

I am not ready,
grandmother says.
There is still so much.

A Treefrog Chirps.
There's a shooting downtown. A tree frog
Chirps. Two young people discover love. A tree frog
Chirps. The Chicago Cubs beat the Toronto
Bluejays. A tree frog chirps. A bimbo
On the Internet becomes a celebrity. A
Treefrog chirps. Life goes on. Day by day,
Week by week, year by year. And a tree frog chirps.

Lilac Serenade
Flowing down, softly so
wind sighing to and fro
on the whispered breeze
underneath fallen leaves
heaven sent
earthly lent
meadows between the stars
creeks strolling into afar
i hear bluejays sing
of lovers dying in summer spring
i wonder if the beauty is false
during this wintry waltz
from poetry to lyrics
this tomorrow is in spirit
lilac blush
lilac kiss
lilacs on the moor...

Premium Member That Summer Afternoon
On the front porch swing, lost in a world of color,
Darting bluejays and ravishing blossoms sang summer!
Passersby peered at me, then nodded their greetings,
Like the sunshine in your face at butterfly meetings.

The sparkling pond captured perky, honeyed sunbeams,
And reflected blue skies with puffy clouds of cream.
While the lush emerald grass had grown rather tall,
I spotted more violet roses than I had ever recalled....

Through My Eyes
"A WINTER DAY"
Winter day through my eyes there is
freezing winds and blowing snow and
crystalized water hanging from the barn.
Rabbits, squirrels and deer running to the
woods for shelter from the cold.Sparrows
cardinals and bluejays peaking at the frozen
ground looking for bird seed I through out for
them. Will be so glad for the cold to disappear
and the warmeth to come back alive.Bye winter

Premium Member The Dawn In Blue
Dawn rose on blue misty mountains, and matching blue sky;
And it wasn't very long, before bluebells caught my eye.
The bluejays sang sunshine, all around the morning glory,
As blue butterflies flitted about, the peacock territory!

Blue dragonflies crept on leaves, off to an odd somewhere,
The world was covered in blue, although hardly yet aware!
Coneflowers and grape hyacinths, danced to forget-me-nots,
And sun turned slowly golden, as if nature's afterthoughts....
