Blinkered Soul
Detritus alleyway
A destitute
Blinkered soul
Regurgitating
Crippling, clichéd
Thoughts grounded
With a loaded tongue....

Trapped In Eternity
Cosmos.
Trapped behind glass
I stare through blinkered eyes.
The world beyond, in rain and shine,
Bewitchingly beckons beyond the frame.
A frivolous moment in time,
Snapped in surreal flash,
Framed forever!
Flowers?

Alternative Reality
Beyond the blinkered known
Myriad realities brew,
Not defined exclusively
By all you know or knew.
To get beyond yourself,
See past the tainted sight,
Accept the possibility
Others see different light.
Sure, there is safety in dogma,
But chances soon get blown,
So realise, the beholder's eyes
Are not yours and yours alone....

Creativity Limit
Straight forward basic life
complicated by living
Insignificant activities
essential essentials, essentially
I’ll live my way, I’ll die one day

Sanity is the crazy
restraining eccentricity
living in real time eyes
the buffers of real skies
the blinkered genius fries
Reigned creation, monotony motivation

Everyday resignation, imagination stifle
future dreams, behind the everyday
Shoot me -
use my rifle....

By the world never cease to be amazed,
On your journey of days dark and bright;
Where’er you’ll be by destiny placed,
Lose not your childish wonder on that night,
In a forest winking with fireflies’ light.

In sundry cares our days are often lost,
Our eyes too blinkered to beauty behold;
Remember as you’re by rough seas tossed,
To thrill, son, to the miracles that unfold,
Let not the wide-eyed child in you grow old....

Love Thy Neighbor
Love thy neighbor

What a world we now live in
Intolerance is rife
Blinkered views across the news
Affecting daily life

Opinions offend so many now
Discriminating tales
Wise words are never heard
Common sense has failed

Selfishness does dictate
Grab whatever you can
Right and wrong has long since gone
No brotherhood of man

Live and let live is no more
Little to rejoice
But bigotry is not for me
Kindness is my choice...

Election Debate
Two suits with familiar faces, the faces that we focus our battles.
These masters of the future, in your name they act, but you claim no blame.
So when a war is fought or the smog embalms us, will you still shout with tears that democracy lost out?

So the comedy continues, your part once more in audience.
And when our continued blinkered, forced ignorance prevails.
Will your sons and daughters blame the system, the money, or the Blairs?...

Over and Over
Over and over

I searched everywhere

To discover the truth

Yet I couldn't seem to find it anywhere

Because i couldn't see

As I was blinded and blinkered too

What was sadly staring back at me

Right in front of my face

All along

The truth was to insufferable

To face and take head on

As the truth in reality

Is so very hard to handle

Let alone get a handle on afterwards

It is out the box

And been uncovered...

COPLA 100 INVOCATION : This Bad Guy World

Brilliant open as the human mind
Blinkered bigoted the human spirit :
Each bleeds for gods

From the cradle to the crypt blind
Pitted one against the other split :
All crazed by gods

Said one two thousand five ago :
The business of God is not yours
Don’t do His job

If all man-made gods decide to go
And live in different galactic twirls :
No one need sob

Listen to poem:
Plunked down in chaos
from a gentler time,
blinkered from the traffic
he pulls the coach along.
Patient, in his harness bond
he tugs at hearts, with pathos-
as to his love of duty we respond.
Amidst the screech of sirens
and the blasting horns,
he stands and dreams
of meadows in a nosebag.

Such rhythmic clicking of
 metal shoes on concrete,
full rolling of the carriage
wheels and he, confined,
down through the centuries
he thought he'd left behind....

Premium Member Blinkered By Greed
Lots of hands held over a candle In angst fuelled bravado this Winter No prisoners taken will there be For many young and old will splinter Knowing this sadness could delve deeper With our horizon blinkered by greed To boost the coffers of the rich elite Whilst others struggle with daily feeds Is there going to be a way out of this As the inevitable carnage that'll be left Or will anarchy be the nail in the coffin It's not nuclear that'll leave its reft.
