Each Dance
Your heart says yes, your mind says no,
  eternity bi-polar

A time to kill, a time to love,
 —each dance best danced alone

Yesterday it was nearly eighty in Kansas City
Today our high will be possible snow flurries
Up down, up down, the weather is bi-polar

Love Is Actually a Mental Illness
Love is actually a mental illness
Bi-polar and life consuming
Breathes taken and eyes crying
until there is no more
Stabbing and gnawing pain in
the blackest darkest depths
until you are no more..
You are reborn anew..you...

Sometimes I'm full of hope and optimism.
Other times I feel hopelessness and pessimism.
It can drive one crazy having such feelings conflicting.
If true balance can be attained, I pray for its fruition
without the use of pharmaceutical medication....

999 Or 991
A limerick reply to Jan Allison's limerick 'super series' on a 'Bi-polar Bear'
~~~~~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Haven't checked where in the world your from
But should I be dialling 999, or 991
For murder is a serious crime
Many years spent doing time
But I am hoping it's just all some limerick fun...
Premium Member She Found Her Mothers Box
the day before her wedding
Pandora found her mother’s loony box
there were journals about her bi-polar condition
and her suicide plans.
We were glad she kept it silently locked
did not read it on that day
or any other day,
preferring to burn it unopened
after she had been married for fifty-six years....
Bi-Polar Lovers
Men meet
And greet.
Friends wait
Then, date
Tough boys
Share toys.
Cute Girls
Wear pearls
They walk
And talk.
Love bursts
At first
The hitch --
Mood switch
He tries
She sighs
Words heat
Not Sweet
Trifles
Stifle
Hearts scream
No gleam.
Dreams die
Good bye.
Bad blend
The end
On the Edge
a piece about bi-polar disorder
          *******
Misbegotten pair,
two-faced condemnation,
the seduction of sweet solace
or the inarticulation of despair.
Either uneasy 'neath the spell of peerless rapture,
false respite from the ravages of fear,
or defenseless and imperiled
by a sadness that is too extreme to bear....
On the Brink
Misbegotten pair,
two-faced aggravation,
the seduction of sweet solace
or the inarticulation of despair.
Uneasy 'neath the spell of peerless rapture,
false respite from the ravages of fear,
or defenseless and imperilled
by a sadness that is too extreme to bear.
                    ********
Bi-Polar
There are scars on her wrists from the escape attempts....
There are scars on her heart from her pain...
That sparkle that once resided behind her eyes,
hides in her fictitious shame...
She incessantly talks when she's high...
She sleeps all day when she's low...
She tells me to come home soon,
and then she screams at me to just go......
Bi Polar
When I loose control,
All hell is inside,
Taken to the edge,
A slave taken to ride,
Brewed to let go,
Explode into play,
Bursting rainbow of colour,
Sensitivity breeds decay.
Keep the euphoria,
Under lock and key,
Bottle it up,
A stored fantasy,
Too little or too much
Scared of running wild,
Gentle human being,
Needy attention seeking child....
Premium Member I Stand Here
I stand here
at the center of a world,
a bi-polar magnet
repelling some
enticing others
for gravity defies
its own law.
I long to reach
to touch them all,
redirect their lives
forgetting I was once adrift
as they –
full throttle, no compass,
destination – somewhere.
I stand alone
as time must hang
its hands
on history.
Bi Polar Love
Bi Polar Love
The love we possess
It is forever
Endless
Back and forth
Thru time
We let go
Then begin again
Drawn to each other
By forces unknown
Crashing
Falling
Love all our own
The things
We have conquered
Defeated
Overcome
Good times
Or bad
To you I always run
Why we can't make it work
Off and on
It's a game
We both know we want it
Hate it
Love it
Trust it so deeply
I don't need you
Just don't ever leave me......
Dancing prancing
cry cry cry
Whirling twirling
die die die
Up on the roof top
Laughing with maniacal glee
Saddest moment ever
Keeping this to myself, as you can see
Shopping, buying everything in sight
Wishing someone would unplug me
Or turn out the light
Life of the party, collecting strangers all around
Falling fast, and hard, maybe to never again
Fully be found.
Dancing prancing
Cry cry cry
Bi-polar fun.
Why? Why? Why?...
The Thoughts of a Bi-Polar
Who am I and what am I to say?,
All I've got to do is play,
Along in a game I don't understand,
Make people come to my land,
A deal that you don't think about,
Something thats going to start out,
A trend that will last for years,
Making people come to tears,
Arguing points that don't get across,
Having to deal with a great loss,
This is my life and these are my words,
Circling around like I'm in herds,
Playing games with my head,
Maybe I would be better off dead....
Manic Mary
There she goes the Bi-Polar Queen on her typical manic daydream
          steppin to the tunes in her head, while hanging on her manic ledge.
          Girl don't you worry, girl don't you cry,
          Step out of your box, step out of your mind,
          Let go of  that  ledge your gonna be fine.
          I know it's hard for you to let go, when hanging on is all you've known
          Though if you let go, you will see, that in letting go, you'll set yourself free....
What Kinds of Poems do People with Bi-Polar Disorder Write?
What kind of poems do people with bi-polar disorder write?
Are they up and down? Down and up? Down, down, down, down, DOWN.
Then up, up, up, up, up UP?
Are they more likely to write poetry on a manic-filled day
or a day of gloom and doom? They get depressed, don’t they?
It is something I think of sometimes.
But I do not dwell on it.
It is not something I lose sleep over.
I have other things that help me with that....
Premium Member Sweet the Greet
For My Billy-Bro, Who Endured a Difficult Journey
For decades he lived on the street with no bed or food in cold and heat. My bro was the first break in my heart. He went thru all bi-polar can impart. I prayed God would unite us one day. In time, ill-health and age made way for a united residing under my roof. For three years we lived sibling truth. God answered my prayer complete; in sight, then hugs ... sweet was the greet!
