Back To Work
Vacation is over, my friend.
Four days and not one poem penned.
Muse, the holiday’s done.
Lift yourself off of your bar stool.
You’ve had your chance to be a fool.
There are words to be spun....

sitting on a bar stool

acting as though i belong

sipping my whiskey slow

watching everyone laugh and carry-on

hour after hour

sipping my whiskey slow

bell sounds "last call"

all i see are shadows tall

dancing merrily on the floor

before my head hits the bar

it's my last call...

Trump Sitting On a Bar Stool
Trump Sitting On A Bar Stool

There was Trump sitting on a bar stool
With each hemorrhoid fighting a duel
And when he looked at their logistics
His body and mind both went ballistics
On one coming out first we took s pool.

Premium Member Woman Who Listened
She was a woman who listened.
She had those Bambi-interested eyes.
People gravitated to her as if she was chocolate.

Many strangers confided in her
Telling her secrets they would not have told their mothers
She kept their confidence, becoming a one time friend

A woman on an airplane
A woman on a bar stool
A woman who listened...

Life's Labors Lost

She thought she was a coffee barista!
Alas, she found at this, shewas far from being an artista!

She headed off next to the nearest, prestigious
bartender school.

Indeed, the clumsy woman, made a perfect drink
but broke her leg, tripping over a bar stool!

She then, took only jobs that required no motion,
Just sitting jobs became her golden rule!

You left the bar stool aching;
I could see it in your folded hands
the hint of a wish to ask me to stay;
Why didn’t you smile an invitation ?

I could see it in your folded hands
a night that was so captivating;
Why didn’t you smile an invitation?
Dimpled words and a biting lip;

A night that was so captivating
the hint of a wish to ask me to stay;
Dimpled words and a biting lip,
you left the barstool aching....

Jack Daniels Ain'T As Good As Jesus Christ
VI.	I don’t need Jack Daniels, but I need Jesus Christ. I’d rather sit on a pew, than to
sit on a bar stool

CH. Jack Daniels aint as good as Jesus Christ. I’ll never thirst with Him, I’ll never thirst
again. I’m on my way to heaven, ‘cause I laid that bottle down. Jack Daniels aint as good
as Jesus Christ.

VII.	I’d rather sing “Amazing Grace” than to sin a country song. I’d rather be with the
Lord, than to open those swinging doors....
