Barstool Dreams

You left the bar stool aching; I could see it in your folded hands the hint of a wish to ask me to stay; Why didn’t you smile an invitation ? I could see it in your folded hands a night that was so captivating; Why didn’t you smile an invitation? Dimpled words and a biting lip; A night that was so captivating the hint of a wish to ask me to stay; Dimpled words and a biting lip, you left the barstool aching.
