Premium Member Axed

There was once a woodchopper
One day he came a cropper
While swinging his axe with glee
Pinned himself to a tree
I have just told a whopper

Trees For Survival

Food,shelter and clothing,
The triplets for human survival,
Trees fed fruits,
Dressed with leaves,
Stand tall over the heads like roofs,
Trees freed men to leave it's fort,
The men axed trees to live in comfort!

life’s unstable death’s staid ~ recombobulation comes by getting laid

clucked a hen to her sterile rooster ~ being axed by the kitchen maid

who was having a fling with the butler ~ he certainly made her grade

To Travel

To go afar, to see and feel and breathe the places never seen by man
To adventure ones’ self, to test one’s skills, to do what one can
To blaze a trail, and make your personal mark, the axed tree oozing sap
To leave footprints on the virgin ground, to fill in the blanks on the map

Pimped

Somebody pimped my "crib"',
Now they done broke my rib,
I "axed" you to be nice,
Butt all's you got is brain mice,
I'm a gonna shut this town on down,
And move around like no one's clown,
I'm in my "hood",
And it is berry good,
So don't mess with me,
Or my "homies" you'll see.

Five Fabulous Fun Footles

five fabulous fun footles

'FOTTIE' RHYME IN TIME ©

It stands---
Commands
All walls---
A stall

Maned floors---
Plus doors
Large pen---
Closed men

Blank cards---
Locked yards
High stakes---
High takes

Watch out---
About
Alarms---
Gendarmes

Lock up----
Cards cut
Sentenced---
Plans axed!

Roots of Life

The deathly beat of our pounding feet
With shackles of life's disaster.
Bubbles of air contain great care
immersed in blurry waters,
Echoed dreams we shall believe
In everything and all before us.

Many a night we fear the light
Of Golum the greedy master.
We share aware of trees despair
Axed the roots of laughter.
Defined at source where love restores
And bleeds happily ever after.

Premium Member Grief on Antidepressants

She seemed blitzed on happiness, weird to us
For she had just lost her husband, old man Gus
A smile split her face in a strange joyful way
He never had a chance, she told us, he never had a say

Doctor put her on antidepressants, her mother would explain
Before she got these pills, she was one huge pain.
Is this better? I asked, not understanding at all.
Oh, yes, she already axed up the dresser down the hall.

Premium Member Delete Me Please

You don’t like my politics, so you are deleting me.
How much more delighted could I possibly be?
I’d try to let you know, but of course, I have been axed.
Which is fine because my Facebook friends are kind of maxed.

You don’t like my religion, so we cannot be friends anymore.
I will miss you all of two seconds it takes to go out that door.
I would care a lot, if I did not care at all.
But this is the way I feel, doll.

Premium Member I'm Sorry

I'm sorry about the thorns
I hope that these horns
will one day be left to burn

I've danced to my past mistakes
and now the real me is about to wake,
there's no simmering beauty of a lake
that's full of pollution and waste,
I need to forgive and live the human race

I've come to realize my infliction
is based on my bruising afflictions,
and my life needs special attention
as I've burned and axed the bridges,
No-one deserves my own decree

Pal In a Tumbler

When the world disappoints
When your friends let you down
When the package’s too small
When the aches won’t subside
When the suds seem too dull
When your choice show gets axed

There’s always Bud Light
or bourbon on ice
Perhaps a Mai Tai
Maybe some fine wine
Cup of therapy

You’ll have a pal
in a tumbler
That won’t fail you
Won’t disappoint

Your aide will
pick you up
off the floor

Liquid
chum and

patch

Premium Member Soozie, the Flamingo Floozie

She was dressed like a flamingo floozie
Her big boobs and booty ~ what a doozie!
Wearing a shade of pink
She flirted with a wink
I ran away from Wicked Witch, Soozie

Soozie was once a he-man. Way back when
Turned into a Barbie doll... do ya Ken?
Overdid the implants
Axed the bulge in her pants
I heard tell her name used to be Big Ben

*Finding a balance between writing humor and serious poetry.
I try but will never be as well-rounded as Soozie... Thank Goodness!

From Above

The longer this remains
The wider, more acute the chasm.
My rendered heart
Split like axed firewood
Becomes a torrid canyon
Numbed by disgrace
Scarified, picked clean by despair
The walls steepen
Slippery with sweat
Glistening
Like my eyes
Though I say nothing
Though I look on, calm
As one who finds himself
Spectator to a tsunami
From some vantage point
Too high to hear the water's roar
But close enough to see
The relentless torrent's head
Now thrashing at its base
