Looking At the Stars
Midgets always do
Looking strangely at the stars
Counting bigger ones

Small and big dippers
Emit freedom a distance
Expressing oneness

At times in old days
Longing to look at more stars
Achieve apogee....

I saw a shooting star tonight
It spelled your name across the sky
It formed itself into a heart
From mine to yours it won't depart
Way up into the galaxy
My love for you an apogee
Just like the shooting star I saw
An ice sculpture that will not thaw...

Lost Somewhere In Time
I Used to wax and wain, perigee and apogee

I used to flow harmoniously with the rest of humanity

so eclectic now I lack identity

To ebb and float sounds like serenity

but i tell you my friend it's complete insanity

to know for certain that all is vanity...

Premium Member A Beautiful Day
The beautiful day has yet agreed,
It sits well preserved, being undisturbed
It takes a look at the world, its seed
Then offers it a delicate curb

Waits for the opportune phantasy
To magically manifest itself
Pleasure beyond measure apogee
Make sure there's more esteem for myself

The Beautiful Day, --me being happy!

Drop the Brush
We may wonder if the painter sensed
that perfect revealing, that apogee,

and how it was understood
that all else,
anything now added,
would be a superfluous footnote.

When that exactness,
that 'just rightness'
arrives out of nowhere,
then
description and explanation
must stand just as needless prattle.

When the ineffable happens
it is time
to throw the brush away....

Ellipse
ELLIPSE

Swing me out in a gravitational arc into
the ether way out fast, reach my apogee
start my descent back to earth. Bit rough this time,
turbulence shakes me, back to the dump joke shop joke shop.
Sign on the line, give me my giro. Yeah, I’m part of the jump
in unemployed figures! No future, no job, no mortgage.
Held in place by gravity skull moon eclipse of unemployment.
Eternally....

Premium Member Accolades To the Moon
Since risen dawn, clouds have been drifting in,
shifting their shapes, swimming above the sea.
There seems to be a whale waving her dorsal fin
My accolades to the moon's power sung in apogee

There are tiny rivulets where starfish cannot hide
Sea worms wiggling, trying to inch their way home
Nothing escapes the hastened withdrawal of low tide
leaving treasures to discover on this morning as I roam...

Cloud 9
Bove like snow under foot
Neath blankets and quilts
Square hole reveals
Spreads of fields
And sheets of plains
On mattressed earth
Threaded and joined
By rivers and streams
The sweetest dreams
Pillowed by hills
The mount's toward Heaven
The valley's watered
Billows of apogee
Immersing in sea
From flying machines
In seated beds
The covers conceal
The soar to heights
The eternal flight's
Five minutes to touch down...

Clarity
I can offer no tribute today...
No words that sparkle, nor gifts of grand.
Yet I still feel an urge to admire your majesty.
Forgive me mistress, for I am speechless..
For these emotions weave a tale of a sweet abyss.

Perhaps I finally see it now,
that I had never actually lost what has been known to be found;
this dance of submission, of worlds that insist with precision.
Its lasting deliberations marking an apogee of actualization...

Betrayal!!!
With a heavy heart, I kept my stare
Oblivious of the sun’s unpleasant glare
My eyes were misty. I was in a mare
I was once at the apogee of my artistic flair
Then, I did nothing than float on air
But now thoughts of you fill me with flare
The world did rate us a perfect pair
I was intoxicated and made you my heir
You said you cared but you weren’t fair
You did in all conscience leave me bare
Someday you’ll rue the day you fled to lair...

Premium Member She Doesn'T Know She's a Dog
Her name is Apogee Sausalito,
she is tiny, feisty and black;
when she romps with Tricia,
she thinks she's a cat.

The crafty feline hides
on the dining room chair;
'round and 'round the table,
the dog circles her there.

Behind the tablecloth,
the cat keeps watch;
reaches out with her paw,
and gives S'Lito a swat.

It's a game they both love;
each day's regular routine,
we enjoy their frisky antics
with morning coffee and cream....

Oh Sweet Apogee
: the highest point.

Oh
dear
sweet summit
Your touch enraptures
the soul of me

beloved pinnacle
Of mine affections
so strongly standing

Fall not to the sea
Lest I should follow
By way of deepest sleep

Should this sweet apex be no more~
Whose hearts shall then beat?
Should it be-- left to the climax of sorrow?

Nay, Let us then stay as love's sweet zeniths for today
Hopefully we shall lovingly share, all of our tomorrows......
