Notes About The Poem

Accolades To the Moon

Since risen dawn, clouds have been drifting in,
shifting their shapes, swimming above the sea.
There seems to be a whale waving her dorsal fin
My accolades to the moon's power sung in apogee

There are tiny rivulets where starfish cannot hide
Sea worms wiggling, trying to inch their way home
Nothing escapes the hastened withdrawal of low tide
leaving treasures to discover on this morning as I roam

How gracious are your comments, Gina. Kindness seeks its own, and so your kindness is returned twofold. Thank you.

Lin what beautiful imagery and once again the picture is perfect. Write on my friend:-) hugs Jan xx Had to smile at the starfish line as Jack Horne sent me a necklace which Carolyn Devonshire had gifted to his mum it arrived yesterday in the post - His mum does not wear it and Jack thought Carolyn would approve if he sent it to me. I feel so blessed with the wonderful friends i have on the site:-) hugs jan xx

We've been friends for almost 8 years. That's longer than I've been friends with some people I see face to face. That kind of friendship lasts forever.

I was so touched Jack wanted me to have his mum's necklace, he said its what Carolyn would have loved. He is an amazing son looking after his mum with end of life dementia care. The dragonfly necklace you made me is a cherished piece too Lin:-) hugs jan xx

How very sweet of Jack to send it along to you. I know you appreciated the jewelry I made and sent to you long ago. Thank you for another great comment, Jan.
