Australia
For koalas and wallabies yearning,
piles of money for tourism earning,
to Australia flying
and on jet fuel relying,
we now lose it and yell: "Oz is burning!"...

Your Welcome
A strange thing called fire
The improbable wheel
Drawings tools weapons
Agriculture was revolutionary
Letters and numbers were radical
Motor Cars
Radio
Movies and TV
Air Travel
Nuclear Power
Computers
Moon Missions
All once fiercely resisted
Ready now welcome your robot replacement...

The Vicissitudes of Modern Air Travel
I relax and sip my martini cruising at 40000 feet.
If only my bags arrive with me, all will be complete
I arrive in Tokyo and watch the carousel go 'round and 'round.

Booked a Flight
Called the agent
Booked a flight
Ticket sent me
~ late night flight
Packed my belongings
Two(!) free bulging bags
Public trans to the airport
~ just a buck trav'lin' stag...
On board ate a meal
Chicken-rice, drink 'n lettuce
No debit or charge card
~ the meal was gratis
"Sir, have a paper
or relax with a book
Watch the latest movie
~ Here, have a look..."
Time to deplane now
Flight's over so soon:
Air travel in the '70's
~ Silver Bird ... Silver Spoon!...
