Premium Member Love Afar

They sat one across from the other
Neither could move closer nor further
	She winked at Jack
	And he winked back
Their unrequited love asunder

I'm Pinocchio's cute distant cousin.
I'll be surprising him with a visit.

Peace Afar

It's almost time too say goodnight,
Above and away, hidden from sight.
A stream of dreams nestled amongst stars,
..... leaving the world below afar.

Be Love.... BE Peace

My Wish From Afar

If I saw a shooting star
Falling from the sky afar,
I would turn to the Heavens above
And wish for my one true love,
To be sent to love only me
So that I'd be forever happy

From Afar

Happy birthday, Lorna Pagar,
Life on earth is fraught with danger;
Humans sense the risk from afar,
The world needs to abate anger.

Premium Member A Poet's Heart

Does a poet's heart link with gentle clouds from afar
to capture fragments of magic that stray from a star?

Not Me But Mine

My heartbeat is within these lines,
rhythmic dances keeping time.
Like lovers drinking, out to dine,
I picture us, not ‘me’ but ‘mine’.
Spouting lyrics, oaths divine,
I wait and wish for some small sign.

A Tweet from afar

A tweet from afar
Strikes a chord
Echoing now
Stirring the pot
With the wails
Fanning the flames
A vacuum is come
A dent is done
Making yesterday’s pain
An unwilling tale

Proof Of Love - of one afar

Of its hot charge
Bedazzled mind's
Struck, as intensely a-quiver
With lightning's power.
If roomed; moon-glowed!

Of its full tear
A broken heart's
Soaked, with crystal vase's knock
On the head shock.
If dream-pillowed!

Hey Tom, your heart you wear on your sleeve,
Concisely achieve what a poet does perceive,
Surpassing discerning reporters near and afar,
Keep writing about Putin and his stories bizarre,
You remind me of Churchill, just add a cigar.

Darkness falls a
A hush sets in
My animal drive
Promotes sin
Willfully I joined
Your soulless heart
Two creatures we
Tumbled in the dark
Moon a witness
Twinkling stars our show
Ensnared in your arms
To the grass we roll

Afar, In Another Time Zone

"Here is rest; and privacy.
Floaty, straw-like grassed.
What hangs is, boughed and buzzed
Unearthly, of
Earth's own bloomed love".

Up on these warm currents of
Passionate longing
Retrace, in what are thought-steps
Dreaming, for her's
A daydreamer's.

Messsage From Afar By Anna Lo Ph

"Whatever the season is, whether it's warm or cold,
Across the miles, every oceans and seas,
Every mountains, valleys and hills,
Let the wings of the wind carry and bring it to you
The words of my heart saying "I Love You".
Good Morning Darling and may God bless you..."

Who Is Crying From Afar

You know her by her paper smile.
She stood by you only for the photos.
Perhaps she hid her pain even then.
Now she’s all alone in a faraway land,
ruining your perfect lives with her tears,
wondering if you’ve trodden on pebbles,
if you cry too, in the depth of the night.

Wooed From Afar

Source of his princely uplift.
Of his mood's proud joy.
Whom, wave on wave, affectionate
Kisses one way blows!

Of this morn's beautifying.
And at springtime's height!
Of this renewed hope's, a new age
In the heart precedes.
Love's, what each gardener concedes
The loveliest glows.

Dinner Table

We sit and share blood the colour of wine
that ripples in glass on table which stretches
stretches stretches oceans between us. You’re
there but afar and I’m here but foreign. I wonder
what question you’ll ask me; what magnolia reply
I’d gouge out of the thinning air. Your hand flinches.

Love You From Afar

We often forget those who remain
Focused on those whom we love
blinded by trumped-up stories of love
Intoxicated and bewitched
but thumb their noses toward us
And don’t appreciate everything we give

So cherish those people
who remained in your darkest
watched you in silence
Loved you from afar

To a Friend Afar

The sun's far from me
yetI feel her warmth
every morn, every noon

The moon's far from me
yet she ligtens my way
night after night

The stars are far from me
yet they adorn my night
with rainbow of beauty

You are far from me
yet I feel your love
dominating the sky
of my very life
each passing moment

From the other side of the world
In the quiet of our sleep,
Some friends perhaps we’ll never see
Into our forum creep.
To them our world is upside down.
We’re standing on our heads.
When we awake to read their words,
They’re dreaming in their beds.

Premium Member Cry from afar

I heard your cry
From somewhere high
Show yourself to me
Gods grace to my eye
A hawk responded
And flew away
I caught his gaze
Through morning light
And clouded haze
Thank you lord
For pleasure in day
A precious sight
My soul did say
I carry this sight
Through days of gloom
And dark clouds
By the light of the moon

World Brought From Afar

World Brought From Afar

Wherever I am, the world comes to me.
I speak not of cyberspace but from connections much older than we.
Through the air I breathe with dust perchance from Nepal;
Water from oceans, as snow or rain from clouds it will fall;
Food in particular, even arctic char;
All these bring me the world naturally from afar.

I Will Always Love You From Afar

The minutes creep into hours,
and days into weeks,
and weeks into months
and months into years.
And yet, I linger from afar.

Your words are many, efforts are few.
I love you means naught without actions.
They are mere words blowing in the breeze.
But until that time,
I will always love you from afar
or until death do we part.
