M&M's melt in your mouth
            not in your hand

In summer they cook in the sand
            and melt on the land

Premium Member False Advertising

They advertised this job would be fun.
We'd feel satisfaction when day's done.
They didn't mention sore feet
Or our desire to retreat
Or that we'd never again see sun.

Poetry In Drops

ADVERTISING
Advertising is:
humorist who
makes profit laugh ...

    EYES
Parallel Eyes,
do not meet
not in infinity ...

    GENIAL
The best poetry,
comes from genius
of the modest ...!

Premium Member My Teenage Years

Recalling the uncertainty of my teenage years My negativity about the future, my uncontrollable fears As it all turned out No need to worry about Fifty years in advertising had a great career
Form: Limerick

Premium Member False Advertising

Don't you just hate it
when you dig a spectacular hole
only to realize that you can't get out?
What's worse is when you
advertise the event, before having practiced,
and now the whole town is here simply by word of mouth.
Form: Grook

Premium Member Tv For Breakfast

TV for breakfast, snack time and lunch.
Taking all my energy, swiftly, easily
Advertising sugary cereals like Cap’n Crunch
TV for supper until we go to bed

Form: Rhyme

Premium Member Ugly Ad

Love the ad, above this poem,a woman with hanging jowls?
     Makes me laugh, not scowl!

Another one, had a word that rhymes with dart!
Obnoxious ads, with which I want no part!

In Order To Create a Family, I Dream To Meet a Man

"In order to create a family, I dream to meet a man-
With whom I wish whole life my will be spend."
So, very honest advertising wrote.
And:- "I recognize you, by a simple sign:-
You have to hold a woman's mink fur coat.
Please call me back, I tell you an exact coat size."
Form: Rhyme

Note To Self

Self help does not always help self,
Self indulgence could be hazardous to self,
Self advertising can create ego too big for self.

Self awareness comes before improving one self,
Self diagnosis does not make a happy self,
Self doubt is no excuse for isolating one self.

Can Joey, Come Out and Play

Flashing unto myself a photo advertising, his bates motel
Peering inside these eyes thinking, no, not the entire kingdom
Of hell shall escape what is coming, their way ? So save your breath....
Tell them Belial, exactly what you do know: perhaps they shall escape a fateful day.
Form:

Unfermented

Sleek pen welcomes
the scented stationery
with a gentle kiss,

coy as a blooming rose
and of course, on hand
to sate yellow butterfly,

soft petals are teasy
with salacious aroma,
proudly advertising--

the unfermented dews of
morning mountains and my
own imaginative thought.
Form: Lyric

Salad Days

I don't know where iceberg lettuce winter squash or snow peas grow but it seems to me it's not down there in Antarctica where and when it's freezing below which only goes to show pointing out if not advising there's bait and switch in the pitch and no truth to their advertising
Form: Rhyme

New and Improved

Ok so which is it?
I mean it can't be
both "new" and "improved"
at the same time
now, can it?
It's like the
egg and the chicken
one has to start
the process doesn't it?
So I'm thinking
the chicken knew
the egg was improved
but still...was unmoved.

it's advertising if you buy it.

Premium Member Advertising Doesn'T Pay

Most TV adverts are a waste of time
But useful when you need a cup of tea,
You can turn the sound down and watch them mime,
Most TV adverts are a waste of time.
I'll never buy the things they show but I'm
Most grateful how the break enables me,
Most TV adverts are a waste of time
But useful when you need a cup of tea.

Premium Member Bad Advertising

(I wrote this a while back on seeing an
ad for a well-known diet food)

I see two pictures, one “before” and one “after.” In the first, the girl looks normal, much like me. In the second, she wears a size 4 bikini, but looks a bit too thin. So what’s to make me want to start starving on their diet?
Form: Etheree

Grammatical inference

Advertisement adversity
Advertising of language
Incident of speech
A dissuasive measures rebuttal
The science of polemic draw
From no veering elsewheres
Sound of water as naked leaf
Enclosed is the burden of purchase
Not without
Pitching fluent
Campaign for after
Elect as fervor in demeanor
Subversive literatures metre

Premium Member Alas, old blog

Alas, old blog, thou dost baffle me
Art thou a banjo short a cord
An off-key piano, tortured
A homeless cat meowing in the dark
A shaken not stirred literary libation
Advertising the talents of its writers
Redundantly raucous rhetoric
Echoing down a dusty corridor
Gathering the featherless dreams
Of forlorn and wingless words
fun
