we painted rainbows
you and I,
'cross our golden sky;
one by one the years
rolled away,
but a vow,once made,
still lives on,
brightly,as before;
this pot of treasure
worth much more than gold;
riches,untold
to sustain us,as
we grow old;
this love,grows not cold

Note:Kathy and I celebrate our 50th anniversary this

Perfect Excuse
Perfect Excuse

We finally found a perfect excuse
50th anniversary and going on a cruise
On Holland America well known
For being a place we call our own
No longer ourselves will we abuse.

Leaving this morning for two weeks
See lovely beaches and tall peaks
Best views that we ever had
And going on we are very glad
Seagulls sang songs through their beaks.

Thank You
Thank you, for my birthday wishes
That was from far and wide
Thank you, for the kind gestures
That warmed my heart and made me smile
Thank you, for the blessings I received
That made my eyes want to cry
Thank you, for each word that made me explode
Thank you, for reminding me of my self worth
Thank you for the respect and admiration you have all shown
Thank you, for making my 50th Birthday one of a kind....

Amtrak Joe We Would Know
President called Amtrak Joe.
Amtrak 50th anniversary.

Party they did throw
Which would be for Amtrak Joe
To Capital go.

what they did deplore
Those who Way too Early ignore
Called her a big bore

did have dignity
Way Too Early want to see
Go on shopping spree

when we saw new dawn
we turned Way too Early on
pretty soon had gone

a pretty scene of shore
Saw Way Too Early more and more
When we heard waves roar...

Three Times Three Horn Haiku
Three Times Three Horn Haiku

My perfect poems rhyme
Always best all of the time
And still so sublime.

Each poem is my best
Better than all of the rest
By God were all blest.

Love wife and still do
Only one I ever knew
Who makes dreams come true.

Not only is this 5-7-5, it also
ends in words that rhyme with
other line. Last part of Horn
Haiku has five words that
rhyme. Jim Horn

August 27th was our 50th
Anniversary....

Premium Member Mcgee Pleads the 50th
The boys were sitting all around the table with McGee
As he took to task to pour the glass of every man he'd see

"It's my anniversary" he would boast and say it loud
"50 years of married bliss" He shouted to the crowd

Remembering his first one he lean toward good Ole' Finn
"A trip to Hawaii, was the gift I gave her then"

Finn said "After 50 years what gift could she now lack ?"
McGee just smiled and softy said," I think I'll bring her back"...

Premium Member On My 50th Marriage Anniversary
The party is on, firecrackers ignited,
Bottles of bubbly beverages opened,
Friendly touches exchanged
As customs prevail in a society.

An anniversary to remind us of mortality,
New resolutions made, new pages turned,
It is not about enjoyment, relief or celebration,
I think as it is about optimism,

To create joy out of nothingness,
To create hope for better times in future.
It is intoxicating wine for the soul,
To look at the balance sheet of life....

“Together” Written: by Tom Wright January 2015 Let this picture be the symbol Of our fifty years together. It hasn’t been from always agreeing For opposites seldom do, Or that we haven’t been disappointed For we certainly have, But we accepted each other The good, the bad, the ugly, God put us together For better or worse, In sickness and in health. Therefore it is only fitting The death of one, Should separate us Temporarily.
