Premium Member Horse Racing 100th Poem
Have you been to a race with a horse?
There are many who like them, of course.
Who wins? We don’t know.
We can win, place, or show.
Any nearby racetrack is the source....

At the Tulip Parade
Our Joyce at the Tulip Parade
was humming the music they played;
she leapt to her feet,
and danced to the beat
(but sang out of tune, I'm afraid)...

The 100th Monkey
Philosopher Carl Yung
had a theory...

Every hundredth monkey
would come up with a
new idea which all the
other monkeys adapted
for the development of

the group's collective...
productivity....

My 100th Poem on Poetry Soup!
I joined this wonderful community
with only a handful of poems to offer to this amazing group,
and just look at me now. 100 poems on Poetry Soup.
It most probably wouldn't have never ever happened
without the constant support and inspiration from each and every one of you.

Thank You...

Premium Member The Magic Bean Locks
ST. Paddy Day today. I'm wearing my green, and I celebrate with my 100th poem posted
since coming here before Xmas! and I will probably lay off the limericks now until next year!

With hair much too short, one vain poet
took magic beans so she could grow it.
Like Jack's giant bean stalk
quickly grew each gold lock!
Now her hair has no place she can stow it!...

Premium Member For Joyce's 100th Birthday
Happy Birthday Darling !
Cheers to your first one hundred years.
You're loved, honored and respected
by all your poetry peers.

Hope this day is special,
just like you are to us
and if this greeting makes you smile.
for me, that would be a plus.

You are a joy and a wonder,
someone to emulate and uphold
and I feel so very blessed to know
you and your heart of gold....

My 100th Birthday
On my 100th birthday I will glad to see
A blow torch of candles so very hot it will be
And I can tout in such a sincerest way
I have no enemies on this special day

For they have all passed from this mortal coil
As the years go by I have outlasted them in this greatest toil
To now sit back and broadly smile so easily
You see having a great life is the best revenge you see.

My 9100th Poem
This is my 9,100th poem that I have written.
You can read and take it for what it is, another
fledgling poem. Hard to believe that I have
written this many. Will be 83 years old on
June 26th. How I lived this long is beyond me.
Glad to see that some other poets have come
back and wondered what happened to them
and where they have been. If the age of shoes
fit start wearing them properly and write more
poems....

Hands
I take shallow breaths as your hands move over me for the last time
if i could stop your movement it wouldnt be the last time.
yet you continue to go consistent with change,
while i deteriorate along with my name.

Your said to be an illusion but i can feel you when i ache
when for 100th time my heartbreaks. no matter how many times you
still havent numbed the pain you dont live up to your name the hands
of time are supposed to heal all pains...

Premium Member Woman of Strength
(Dedicated to Joyce Johnson on her 100th birthday)

Her words still echo in my mind
‘I can’t remember any pain’.
Woman of strength, one of a kind
Her words still echo in my mind.
A fruitful life with love defined
She would relive it all again!
Her words still echo in my mind
‘I can’t remember any pain’.
