Shifting Seasons

The law of redemption is at work today,
God moves within us, shaping who we are.
Heaven is shifting in a redemptive way,
Winds and waves of change never stay afar.

God is alive in us, He is our rear-guard strong,
In crisis, purpose rises from the dust.
Put off last season’s garment worn too long,
Renew appropriately, in repentance and trust.

Rehearse divine promises, revisit faith,
The best identity within you now flows.
Rediscover God's thoughts for your life anew,
Enjoy His Presence, as heaven’s current grows.

Future boundaries now are being laid,
Shift from gleaning to owning what is predestined.
Stake your bold claim, let fear and lack now fade,
Transformation and fresh provision shall abide.

Your toenails show the change that is come to be,
Your fingernails reflect His radiant glory.
Your anointing spreads His perfume endlessly,
His Morning Spirit stirs streets with dancing story.

Keep pressing forward - others will arise,
Your testimony holds authority.
Your story leads with light before their eyes,
A beacon of divine maturity.

Shifting

I never drove a stick shift
Although once, I tried to learn.
I think they’re mostly gone now
And I don’t see their return.

A manual transmission
In some sports cars can be found,
Yet there aren’t many models
For the purists still around.

It’s kinda like a TV set
With knobs you have to turn
Instead of a remote or
An Alexa you can spurn.

Improvements make life easier,
But some wish they’d revive
The older methods that were used
To watch TV or drive.

Shifting Frames

The glass once lucid
now deflects glow differently.

A chuckle clenched in the wind,
blanching and flaming.
Where were we?

Footprints echo, retreat, advance
sagging floor, missing nails.

Not long enough--
like a wheeze folding in and out,
a beam of light held in a still moment.

Sagging floor, nails missing,
steps forth, then retreat.
Where were we,
blanching and flaming,
a chuckle loosed in the wind—

now the glass, no longer lucid,
deflects the glow differently.

Shifting Shapes

The shift is taking shape,
Shape shift to embrace the landscape,
Escape from the patterns,
Keeping you scattered.
Tattered souls losing their hold,
Battered and bruised their hearts grow cold,
Looking to scold,
Sharing the load.
Hoping they won't explode,
They drift into whole,
Losing control,
Falling so low,
They have to let go.
Releasing what they know,
Seeing a spark glow,
They reach into the flow,
Another season to grow,
As they're pulled into the sea.
Understanding their energy,
A visionary carrying the key,
Shifting with what they see,
Shaping their reality.

Reality is transforming all around me.
Reality is becoming what it is meant to be.
Reality consists of others loving me deeply.
Reality brings forth a life for me so happy.

Premium MemberShuffling Souls in Shifting Sands

Shifting standards in drifting sands,
where forgiveness is a sundae treat,
spins the wheel of fortune
to shuffle-card mode.
Where truth is discounted,
by dealing cards face-up,
and uncounted.

Multiple are handles they use,
perhaps a mere whim, yet a ruse,
which patterns of the mind betray,
of scents which from their ink so ooze.

We smile and let them have their way,
as masks they don to make their day,
until the time their soul’s stripped bare,
which is when they sit down to pray.

Egos are strange, handle with care
for perhaps it’s just for a dare,
though dawn’s light cannot veil the sun,
as all of us are well aware.

Shifting in Stillness

I am learning in a way Sunday teaches
In stillness
In the pause before the next step
In slowness
Letting the world hum around me without needing an answer
In knowing that growth does not only ask for effort,
But presence.
Some wisdom only finds you when you are still enough to receive it
And so, I let this moment shape me
Let its softness remind me
That learning is not always loud
Resting in my quiet unfolding
I let the world blur and find clarity within

There's room in my chair if you'd like to sit too
The space that is open is contoured to you
An afghan to cover us cozy and snug
Cuddled together, two bugs in a rug

There's room in my chair if you'd like to sit here
I won't bite, don't worry, have you no fear
But wait, just a moment, let's first set the stage
You get the lights, I'll get the shades

There's room in my chair, so much fun it will be
Nobody else babe, it's just you and me
What happens there probably here could not write
Let's remake the story though night after night

Shifting

You were my distraction from the pain,
But I thank God you were there anyway,
You can only feel and cry so much,
When with every tear you wonder when is enough enough,
Until God sends someone to ease the blow,
To take you away from all you know,
For a time you forgot the pain you felt,
And your focus shifts to someone else,
The talks, the closeness you needed to feel,
To take you away from the pain of what's real,
But in your heart you know the truth,
It's a temporary fix in order to get through,
The same heartache you couldn't handle that left you feeling alone,
Is still there yet only a shadow of what you once had known,
Pictures are your only connection, and you start to feel less,
And in your heart you feel guilty your forgetting the rest,
So then you question were you meant to forget what once was,
When time passes you by and you ask yourself was the love really that strong.

Shifting Gears

Daffodils were bobbing,
I never thought to ask why?
January was the coldest -
dreams don't care
and the yellow trumpets
were almost speaking
and I almost listening.

However, sex got through
this bucolic view,
the daffs turned
into a belly dancer
I once admired in Luxor.

Now I am being scolded
by a demi-god with goat horns
on his curly head. It's not happy
with my expansive outlook.

I need a fifth gear in a dream car,
a vehicle roomy enough
for both a bed of daffodils
and a rather plumb Egyptian lady.

The goat guy can take a hike.

Ephemeral Time

Sifting through the sands of time
Ephemeral it fades away
As water flows down the river
It's constantly on the move
Time and tide waits for no one
Instead of lamenting the past
We should seize every moment
Fulfil our dreams and wishes
Till our time on this earth is over
And death knocks at our door.

Premium Member Shifting Shape

There’s fire in those eyes
Flames flicker from finger tips
Her voice is forged from thunder
She has such shapely hips

She’s not quick to anger
Still you do not want her scorn
Her’s is the soul of a warrior
Heaven sent not mortal born

She is the thing of legends
Impossible to understand
With subtle smile upon her lips
The sky she does command

You may call her nature
A mother to us all
Winter spring and summer
multicoloured in the fall.

Stare upon her beauty
Suckle at her breast
God’s offering from the heavens
Is she a curse or are we blessed?
