And when light shines no more,
And laughter, merry crowds,
Bustling taverns and streets
No longer welcomes my songs
Goodbye, bye and bye
Good bard.
After the arrows flew
And the swords had clashed;
When the sunrise dew
Dilutes the blood of the bashed
Goodbye, I grant you rest
Good soldier.
When screaming has stopped
When talking died,
When hearts are questioned
And love wherefore
Goodbye, lovelorn man
Goodbye lover.
Alas, madness overrun
And heart torn apart,
I dare not say
Lest you call me insane
Goodbye, o farewell to thee
My sanity, goodbye.
They had never seen or heard of a wedding before
But they wanted one that would last forever more
Just a few humans, they cautioned me, not so many.
Would you rather have ten, or could I invite twenty?
No photos, except maybe one, to take back on our ship.
I noted a bunch of rules coming out of my alien friend Hip.
Do we have to wear clothes? She asked me, concerned about it.
It would probably be the best, I said, hoping she would not have a fit.
They dressed up in colors, that matched their triple-toned skin.
He had never looked more handsome, her groom Old Finn.
We gave them a sendoff and a wedding to boot.
Then they had to blast off, the bride and her crotchety coot.
Beside you when you're laying down
I brush the hair from off your face
Beside you as you fall asleep
Snuggled, between us there's no space
Beside you as you start to dream
A whispered sendoff in your ear
Beside you when you wake again
Kisses, welcome back my dear
hello
meet, welcome,
waving, applauding, beckoning
howdy-do, pleasantries, sendoff, sayonara
forsaking, bemoaning, grieving
heartfelt, teary
goodbye

Stare set on her grecian wall
Seeking the pleasant face to quench his beats.
Count one...two and three.
He stands on the street below in the rain.
Scent of earth filling his soul.
O' could he just ask for pleasures more.
Be awake eyes, here heavens come.
Walking amidst the drops her eyes too run.
As she sweeps her sight across and turns.
Tears with the drizzles, the beau mourns.
Walking in the fields hand in hand.
They talk of moon and the wolf that loved.
Breathing the warmth of love in air.
Castles of glass, oceans of sand.
Mirage of opulence it seemed sometimes.
And they were at her door again to let her go.
Parting sendoff that didn't last a moment.
Sailing to the new world, next day she departs.
Lonely as ever, silent in thoughts, wailing in his pain.
Stared at the grecian wall, the drizzle was with him..
Yet again.
However hard it may seem
I cannot help but succumb
to the thought that a time is upon us
and is sadly now,
when we may not see each other
but for a long while...
But between now and then,
I will savor every lasting moment
every 'annoying' text
every whimsical comment
For each one put together
paints an eternal frame of You
Only for a season will you be
Outside of sight,
But never will you be
Outside of Love

A VIRGIN FLOWER
A virgin bride tosses her bouquet in a sendofF.
Every little girl, shouts with hands, hopefuL,
and the beauty that catches it, is met with a bashful, “hellO” –
from the dashing young boy, and so, she gets a previeW.
He hikes a garter up her leg, a tradition of lovE?
Would she be domesticated, a virgin to conqueR?

From day one to date
You fought endless fights
To give me the gift of life
You always said
My child I don’t want you to suffer
Because one day I’ll depart the earth
I want you to continue without me
Be a responsible child and freestanding
That will make me enjoy my last gift
A fancy sendoff will not save my life
Knowing that you are capable
Might increase my days under the sun
Your words still haunts me to this day
Every time they cross my mind
I’m energized to do well
I hope that my success
Reveals my sincere gratitude
And present to you, your last gift
