Last Gift

From day one to date You fought endless fights To give me the gift of life You always said My child I don’t want you to suffer Because one day I’ll depart the earth I want you to continue without me Be a responsible child and freestanding That will make me enjoy my last gift A fancy sendoff will not save my life Knowing that you are capable Might increase my days under the sun Your words still haunts me to this day Every time they cross my mind I’m energized to do well I hope that my success Reveals my sincere gratitude And present to you, your last gift
