Premium MemberOval room antics, and dubious semantics'

An almost dwarf from ukraine'
Who is real fond of warfare and gain
Got to the 'white house to barter'
Yet ended up starters
For calling; out' unsavoury names'

He then went to starmer'
another no charmer'
Causing Britian, much
anger and shame'
I hear daily its people complain!

Listening to Downtempo on a Sunday Evening

the earnest feeling
everything and nothing is wrong

everything's *****ed
and so damn beautiful in its ****ed-ness

the immensity of this
tickles the fingertip

like a salted crumb or a kitten's whiskers

it doesn’t matter which way you read your lines

which way do you read your lines?

how do you measure your gains?

as the corners of your mouth become
etched with the fattening burden of Serenity

Mimesis

I know languages count by silent lexicons

I know oceans measure by waving hands

I know serpents poison by miseries

I know clouds mould by whispers

I know rivers clutter by sediments

I know oaks augur by heights

I know blood oils by fossils

I know epics endure by echoes

I know ashes wither by winds

I know castles coil by curls

I know hells hasten hubris

I know I know, my ignorance by ignorance

Seagull Semantics

Fair wind floating above a sparkly sea
as the pounding surf grinds sand over there,
I then feel hunger to a large degree,
sense some morsels near, beat my wings on air.

As the pounding surf grinds sand over there,
I fly, knowing fellow hunters will feast,
sense some morsels near, beat my wings on air,
then hover, tuck, and dive in from the east.

I fly, knowing fellow hunters will feast,
will swoop and swoon for every scrap of food,
then hover, tuck, and dive in from the east,
attacking dinner with some attitude,

will swoop and swoon for every scrap of food,
and leave naught behind but sand, sky and brine.
Attacking dinner with some attitude,
squalling seagulls sip the morning sunshine

and leave naught behind but sand, sky and brine;
I then feel hunger to a large degree.
Squalling seagulls sip the morning sunshine,
fair wind floating above a sparkly sea.

Premium MemberAnimal Antics and Semantics

A pup is a dog and a dog is a pup
And a puppy dog is a doggy pup
A chick's a little hen and a hen's a big chick
Put 'em together and you get a 'chicken'

If you get lice, you have to delouse
You don't want to be the louse in your house
A skunk is a rodent and so is a rat
Put THEM together ~ No, don't do that!

Premium MemberThe Game Changer Chapter 3: Semantics

Semantics
The Game Changer- continued

Coming with the new days rays glow
Here is how these words did flow

There be this red fire ant see
During the battle of these clones
Sam Anti-x Jones
And how she/he came to be

Small drop of dew on blade of grass
Smell of burning smoke in the field
Insects and all alike break right
Fires dew light Sam’s middle eye
Dew says, take me to mountain rose
Sam Antix did hesitate
Though grabs the grass with blade of dew

Due too, drink me know says the dew
And trust no harm will come to you

So, Sam Antix swallows the drop dew
Transformation takes place too
Same the fire ant grew

Heart, Head, Harmonizing
Offering, Optimistic, Opportunity
Self, Shinning, Star
Creator, Creating, Cause
Made, Me, Match
Engulfing, Embodying, Evolving
Deciding, Destiny’s, Dream

From hell to heaven
Dark fires aide Sam Antix
Climb to mountain top

Semantics and Antics and Fanatics

Semantics and Antics and Fanatics

Is special place in my mind for semantics
Even allows additional space for antics
Words come together and are logically appealing
No matter what you think or how you are feeling;
If overdone are considered to be fanatics.

Semantics

Where can I find the words?
Those that have left me
Been looking everywhere
Deluge in a graveyard of memories

Elusive and fleeting,
They come and they go
They visit in a heartbeat
Primal emotions they sow

These words, they are shadows
Haunting my waking dreams
Almost within my grasp
Held firmly, or so it seems

For whence I try to summon them
I find that they are gone
Bereft of these words
Life, to me, will never come

Semantics

My scan was not “preventative;”
Instead it was “routine.”
Insurance will not pay it
If it’s somewhere in between.

But can someone please explain
How any X-ray, scan or test
Can be thought of as “routine?”
I think that this should be addressed.

Every dental check-up, mammogram
Or colonoscopy
Has a purpose – to prevent a problem
That might come to be.

So denying reimbursement
Seems a pure display of antics,
Swindling unsuspecting patients
By resorting to semantics.

SEMANTICS

She says it’s waste dietary,

Or rubbish, or garbage,

Or bull-feathers, or bilge.

I say no, dear, it’s poetry.
