Semantics

My scan was not “preventative;” Instead it was “routine.” Insurance will not pay it If it’s somewhere in between. But can someone please explain How any X-ray, scan or test Can be thought of as “routine?” I think that this should be addressed. Every dental check-up, mammogram Or colonoscopy Has a purpose – to prevent a problem That might come to be. So denying reimbursement Seems a pure display of antics, Swindling unsuspecting patients By resorting to semantics.

Keep fighting them, ask for their supervisor, eventually they will give in if you're persistent.

We are lucky we don't have to get insurance for scans etc but pay via our national health contributions but I agree routine scans should be available free of charge:-) hugs Jan xx

Mrs Ilene, I agree 100%. Insurance is the biggest legal scam there is. I love the poem. Just plain common sense, which they happen not to have.
