My head has always been made of glass,
and inside it lives a faint idea of who I am.
She used to be a silhouette,
but even then she wasn’t very defined.
In eighth grade, I believed that she lived in the shadows,
because showing herself felt heavier
than living in the trenches of our own mind.
In a way, she was right.
I was told that the time would come when I’d figure out who I was—
but what use is saying “everything happens for a reason”
if it only makes me sad?
I started to write in my mirror:
words like “I’m funny, I’m thoughtful, and I’m kind.”
And I waited for a big moment,
when I’d realize that I was right.
Then came social media.
It made me feel like people could look into my seemingly see-through mind through a cracked lens and endless filters.
I thought maybe they could help me figure out who I was,
but no flashy moment ever arrived.
It wasn’t until my friend thanked me for giving her a birthday gift
and studying for a class I didn’t take just to help her understand
that I got home to my dusty shelf and whispered into an empty room while looking my mirror in the eye
“Maybe I wasn’t wrong after all”

See through my eyes and get me like I do,
I’m ruined by my hands yet handicapped in making mends.
Abstinence was my choice but hooked on am I,
Tears roll down my cheeks; eyes red from endless weeping.
I’m cold turkey; my God-given strength seeps through my pores and leaves my body shattered.
The smoke from the tobacco roasts my lungs,
Heart pumps on a low; blood turns black.
I need a liver transplant cause my life time ticks away.
My veins, tired and weak, take a break though my time ain’t near.
On my death bed I lay, repentant and resentful.
A child born blind, my fault.
I’m not proud to be the murderer of my fruits unborn,
Yet I seem not to be the decider here.
The society pushes me not to handle a child when I’m one myself.
Try as I may to be a virgin, I am ambushed by greedy tigers who won’t let me be.
See through my eyes and get me like I do.
Countless times I am tossed and turned by society,
I desperately want to change, but I can’t.
Please don’t push me to hell! Teach me the best way to live.
I deserve some paradise too.
See me through my eyes and get me like I do.

A woman wore a see-through dress,
Her silhouette, a soft caress.
She walked with grace, a whispered breeze,
Through moonlit nights, beneath the trees.
Her gown, a veil of dreams and light,
Embracing shadows of the night.
With every step, the stars would gleam,
As if she danced within a dream.
Her eyes, a secret, deep and wide,
Held stories oceans couldn't hide.
Each thread, a tale, each lace, a rhyme,
Of endless love and stolen time.
The world stood still, in awe and hush,
The moonlight painted her a blush.
She wove her way through dusk's embrace,
A vision wrapped in fragile lace.
No word was spoken, none could dare,
To break the spell that lingered there.
A woman in a see-through dress,
A world of beauty, nothing less.

I keep beauty, strength, and resilience
Wrapped around my arm
I see grace, love, and motherhood
Dancing in a smile
I see the scars on her soul
And the pain of her past
The tears behind the laugh
I hear her witty charm
Hiding behind shyness.
Guarded but not cynical
Sincere and unabashed
And yet leaving space for others misfortune and fault.
Her courage upstages her fear
Her strength upends her hurt
Love overwhelms disdain.
She is confident what is right and wrong
And yet does not judge.
I see love dancing on a laughter guilded soul
And she is beautiful.

The sun has risen bright and cold.
December shines. The roads glisten with frost.
A bright sky flares, makes all stare into sheets of light,
Now opaque, now a glaring dazzle.,
the light steals our sight for want of any shaded defining.
There is glory in the air
but also a perilous power that blinds.
Many cannot look but must watch their steps,
they shuffle along groping for handholds in the sparking air.
Some search for a dark glass to see through,
other's secretly know that they are not even close to seeing
the Mind that looks through them.

Padded talons touching tepid earth
His blinking gaze
adjusting to the virgin haze
Through alabaster eyelids
the unseen sun
and whispered wind
touch newborn scale
Unfurled wings
seeking their first beat
Unsteady legs atop
timid feet
Horned tail sweeps
Grass and dust aside
The see through baby dragon
and the heart
he could not hide

If you could see through mine own eyes
You would see what I could see
You would know That I Love you with all my heart
You would know you are the better half of me.
If you could see through mine own eyes
You would know my love is true
You would understand the way I am
You would know why I do the things I do
If you could see through mine own eyes
You would see how much you mean to me
You would know how I dream of you
You would know we are meant to be.
If you could see through mine own eyes
You would know you are my entire life
You would know you are my guiding light
You would know how happy tou make me.....My Darling Wife. x

See-through
The heart so desperately hidden
Quiet emotions betray your face
From hope and apprehension
Your mask shifts out of place
While pride contorts your vision
A simple act prepared in haste
Subtle hints reveal the tension
Oblivious tells perceived as grace
I see you just as you are
Right through your cheap disguise
Why must you try to hide your face
In superficial lies

lies are difficult to keep. Some people think they have the gift of grift, with the perfect poker face... They may be right. But-Lying in a relationship, betting friendship or love, risking the trust of someone close... How far do you really think you can get by stacking the deck? Quietly enduring your false facade, who's heart are you breaking and who's love are you forsaking?

Some say that the eyes
Are the windows to the soul
While words may lose meaning
It's our vision that knows
To me you're an angel
With wings and halo unseen
And I feel that together
We could conquer all things
If you could see through my eyes
For just a day
It would remove all the doubt
And you'd want to stay
If you we're my pupil
I'd take you under my wing
And teach you how to me
You are so amazing
While the mind tends to wander
The heart cannot lie
To put your questions to rest
Just look through my eyes
Realize all that we share
Though we're two separate lives
In our quest to forever
Where we can unite
If you could see through my eyes
Or just read my mind
You'd see visions of you
As I wake at daylight
Please ponder no longer
For through my eyes you've seen
What lives in my heart
How you are my dream
If you could see through my eyes

The treasure I have is buried again,
He will never find it, for he abused what he had,
Taken advantage of a heart so willing to give,
His own selfish reasons so egos agenda can live,
His tactics and manipulation scream hidden fears,
Not knowing what real love is for all these years,
He must barter and lie and hang by a thread,
And treat you like an option instead of realizing what he had,
Seeing through every word that falls out of his mouth,
Every hidden agenda seems to come out,
Intelligence intimidates him, he'll talk you down,
In his eyes there is no equal value to be found,
He straps on his ego like a belt around his waist,
Then runs around nekkid like he's winning a race,
Living in the image in his own imaginary world,
Is better than facing the reality of experiencing a love that's real,
Stuck in an illusion, he can't shake himself awake,
Denying himself to live and die this way,
Even at this very moment his ego will get offended,
He will take offense instead of seeing what needs to be mended,
It be denial till death, or change his heart,
Turn around and see the love that you got...
