The See Through Baby Dragon
Padded talons touching tepid earth
His blinking gaze
adjusting to the virgin haze
Through alabaster eyelids
the unseen sun
and whispered wind
touch newborn scale
Unfurled wings
seeking their first beat
Unsteady legs atop
timid feet
Horned tail sweeps
Grass and dust aside
The see through baby dragon
and the heart
he could not hide
