Over the past feel not guilty,
Though forgetting is a difficulty,
God might have levied a penalty,
Maybe no rewards despite loyalty,
As every loss is a bitter liability,
Place them before the Almighty,
Take an oath to work with sincerity,
Thank the Lord for His generosity,
Every soul has a God-given duty,
Which must be done with morality,
God will test heart's purity,
A hard-worker losing is a rarity,
As life is given no perpetuity,
Quickly discharge every activity,
Fame alone enjoys immortality!

It’s been so revealing to know
this year Jesus so truly real
knowing He’s ay my side always
His presence at times you really feel
For having known greater desires
to get into His word divine
spent time of quality in prayer
this is such a feast to sit and dine
This is so absorbing and fulfilling
that the son of God should love me
it’s a wonder so amazing to behold
fills me completely setting me free
Jesus is my Jesus so ever true
it strikes you there deep within
sacrificing all for my soul
paid the penalty for all my sin
Thank you Jesus for being you
coming in to my life for real
help me to give more to thee
at your feet forever to kneel

My Lord. I have failed you
so many times.
I feel like I'm in a dark room
with closed blinds.
In all of my "accomplishments."
I've no reason to "brag."
Each time I sin... It brings
God's "Penalty flag."
I've seen fellow believers
"fall in disgrace."
I can still remember
the look on their face.
I don't want to end up
as many often do.
Ending up in failure...
In living for YOU.
I humbly confess and
repent of my sins.
It's only in YOU Jesus where
true life begins!
All of the "broken pieces"
in my life.. I give.
And beg of your mercy and
willingness to forgive.
Thank you God! For helping
me to become.
A child of God, through
Jesus your son.
Thank you Jesus! For being
here and loving me...
The chains are gone.
I am set free!!!

Lord, thank You for saving us from hell
By Your redemption-grace* excelling compassionately well.
Help us serve You, winning others as the Gospel wondrously tell
So that in heaven they can surely dwell!
Lord, thank You for rescuing our souls from the lake of fire
By Your forgiveness-love, fulfilling the perfect sacrifice You did require.
Help us serve You, warning others about penalty of sin’s mire
So that godly repentance they can sincerely desire!
Lord, thank You for sanctifying our nature from filthiness
By Your regeneration-mercy, vanquishing spiritual death's destructiveness.
Help us serve You, teaching others Your Word amidst worldliness
So that they can ultimately submit to Your righteousness!

THE GREATEST STORY EVER TOLD
I heard a tender story of God’s dear, precious Son,
Who left His throne in glory for sinners lost, undone
To give His life a ransom that you from sin could be
Set free from all its shackles and its awful penalty.
It is a tragic story, for many watched that day
And never knew His dying was to take our sins away.
And yet throughout the ages, it’s tragic, yet it’s true
That many scoff this message that He died for them, too.
It is a traveling story, it’s traveled land and seas
And spread His love and mercy and sweet abiding peace.
And I am very thankful that it traveled one glad day
Into my heart and saved me and took my sins away.
Thank God, it’s a true story, more true than all we know,
More full of love and mercy and grace He will bestow.
If you will just accept Him, His finished work for you,
You’ll find this tender story miraculous and true.
Oh yes, it’s a great story, the greatest ever told,
Though it’s been told for centuries, it never will grow old.
There is no other story that can this one replace
That’s greater than the story of God’s amazing grace!

They gathered there that fateful night,
To discuss the plans of a wondrous flight,
That would take them far from chains that bind,
Where freedom is more than thoughts of the mind.
But, an air of uncertainty filled the hall,
And the penalty for treason meant death to all,
That gathered there to pen their name,
On that parchment of independence proclaimed.
Then a bold voice cried, "Sign My Friends!
For that document tells of the rights of men,
Whose souls have a yearning to be free,
To search for their dreams and destiny.
And God has given us this great land.
What more do we need to understand,
That to fight and die for a noble cause,
Is a grand opportunity if ever was."
Yes, the strangers voice rang loud and clear,
As he spoke to their hearts more than the ear.
Then he fell with exhaustion into his chair,
And when some ran to thank him, he was not there.
Though the door was bolted and a guard stood strong,
It seemed that the stranger had vanished, was gone.
But, the words he spoke were like bolts of light,
And all in attendance knew he was right.
Then they signed their names without a fear,
And seventeen seventy-six was the year.
Yes, they'd taken the bull by the horns,
And in that moment a nation was born.

Wow, what a gift* so well-presented
Making me absolutely elated
Opening with glee I’m now prompted
With excitement, cheerfully spirited!
Such gift is truly blessing-laden
Lifting away my heavy burden
For its message says I’m fully forgiven
That assures me peace, and abode in heaven!
Thanks for the gift with eternal guaranty
No one can pay its priceless certainty
Since it costs the life of a deity
Who sacrificed Himself for humanity.
I cherish that gift of life’s fullness
Packed with the Giver’s love and faithfulness
May He find me showing my thankfulness
Along my joy to share it with willingness!
*James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
Dear God,
Thanks for Your gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ, the Saviour and Lord. Today, I accept Your gift of grace, as I put my faith in Your Son, Jesus Christ, Who died on the cross, was buried and rose again to pay for the penalty of my sins. Please forgive my sins, while I repent, believing that only You can assure me of heaven. I thank and praise You so much.

Fiery, tormenting, burning with brimstone…
Such is the Lake of fire’s furious raging wrath
That warned me… being among the doomed:
“fearful, unbelieving, abominable,
murderers, ... and liars*…”
Expressed by the Scriptures.
Agonizing throughout eternity…
Oh, what a grim hopeless misery
Awaiting those to be cast into the lake of fire.
Frightened, I ought to flee from that bottomless pit
Of grievous excruciating condemnation…
...But what must I do?
I thank God Who by His grace and mercy
Rescued me when I trusted Him – Jesus Christ
My Saviour Who paid the penalty of my sin’s wages
Through His death, burial and resurrection...
He became the ransom price to shut me out from that lake of fire
And never to suffer terribly hell’s torture.
Spiritually freed from damnation, awfully everlasting
While assured of heaven’s triumphant bliss
I’m now refreshed by the Lord’s stream of living water…
To share the Gospel of salvation with my Redeemer's love
And testify about His compassion for others to escape
From holiness’ wrath seething from the lake of fire.
*Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Were yer looking down, Wilf, were yer with me Dad
Sitting with John Widdowfield and Harry, his brave lad
Weren't the fans terrific, did you hear them roar
Didn't Boro start well and what a time to score.
What about them boots now, that stadium 'n all
Would have been amazing to see you with that ball
Just to watch Juninho must've made you grin
I bet you had a chuckle when that penalty went in.
Hope it made you smile, Wilf, I hope it made your day
And every other Boro fan not here with us today
I saw you play at Ayresome in 1953
Me Dad stood on the Holgate and he got me in for free
I met you just before you died, in the café on Marske stray
We talked about the old times, yer made me laugh that day.
I drank with Stevie Gibson the night the cup was won
And through the tears and endless beers I said how well he'd done
I told him that we loved him, the way me Dad loved you
He said, Look I'm no different, just Boro through and through.
Next time I pass your statue, I'll linger for a while
And if I look real closely, I know I'll see you smile.
It's been a long old time, Wilf, but didn't they do us proud
The chairman and the manager, the players and the crowd
It's been a long old time, Wilf, at last we've done things right
We've gone through that great darkness and come into the light.
Night night, Wilf, night night.

Thus, pressing me to depend on Your kindness’ brace.
Thank You for beginning a good work in me with Your assistance
Thru fortification of my faith from sin’s distance
Toward righteous walk of steadfast stance…
Thus, leading me to trust Your guidance in every instance.
Thank You for beginning a good work in me with Your Word
Thru enlightenment of my mind from foolishness’ discord
Toward Scriptural wisdom of prudent record…
Thus, teaching me to learn from Your truth’s sword.
Thank You for beginning a good work in me with Your goal
Thru sanctification of my heart from worldliness’ pole
Toward sacrificial labour of ministerial task, fully whole…
Thus, instructing me to fulfill Your mandate’s commission.
Thank You for beginning a good work in me with Your covenant
Thru approval of my commitment from discontentment’s giant
Toward delightful fellowship of godly want…
Thus, driving me to pursue Your blessings’ grant.

Resting alone,with a free mind;
I breathe,I relax;
Under this avocado tree,I sit;
To take shelter from this scorching sun.
In the time to come, which I'm not certain about,
Under the same tree in a different location,
For a different reason, breathless and lifeless,
I shall lay as I rest alone.
It has been a week,not so easy;
It has been six full days,so busy;
But this seventh day ,
I'll walk in the footsteps of my father;
And follow the example he gave me;
That in six days shall I do all my work,
And rest on the seventh.
I rest,take a leave from work;
To thank him,worship him,glorify his name;
For it was by his mercy that his son took on the blame;
For the sake of my eternal redemption;
From the captivity of death, the penalty of sin.
Speaking of death,
I know not the hour of its arrival,
But I trust the process,
That on one fateful day, I shall be victim,
And that under this same tree,in a different place,
I shall be escorted to sleep,
Optimistically awaiting the second advent of the savior.
My heart grows humble and cold,
Upon this mixture of feelings,
But I pray, to God,my creator;
I go on this private retreat,
Just to have a little talk with Him;
And tell him all about my trials,
And beg him to rescue me from the power of death
And ask him to prepare my heart,
To sanctify and consecrate me,
As I patiently wait for his return.
What else would I do today,
Apart from dedicating my life to him,
And calling him to lead me all the way,
Through the new week?
Nothing, nothing else would I do;
For it is the Sabbath,
On which I have to commune with my Lord;
And rejoice in his love to me.

Lord, thank You for saving…
…my condemned life that was bound to hell
By Your grace, excelling compassionately well
With Your redemption* so that in heaven I can surely dwell
Transforming me from rebelliousness thru the Gospel!
Lord, thank You for rescuing…
…my sinful soul from the lake of fire
By Your love, fulfilling the perfect sacrifice You did require
With Your pardon acquitting me from penalty of sin’s mire
Making me Your child, tamed by Your kindness that doesn’t expire!
Lord, thank You for winning…
…my arrogant nature from filthiness
By Your mercy, vanquishing evil and wickedness
With Your justification for my righteousness
Enabling me to strive for holiness!
Lord, thank You for prevailing over…
…my vain faith in false religion
By Your Scriptures, rebuking every idolatrous region
With Your truths to free me from abomination’s dungeon
Snatching me from the devil’s deceiving legion!
Lord, thank You for converting…
…my deceitful heart midst pride’s deadly cost
By Your humility, reaching out to the lost
With Your power and might of the Holy Ghost
Leading me to submit to You, serving with my best and utmost!
Lord, thank You for cleansing…
…my self-willed personality from carnality’s impurity
By Your sanctification, purging every worldliness, and vanity
With Your purification from any iniquity
Blessing me in obeying Your authority!

>I am not a keen fan of football, although I did play for my team when in the army, I played left outside, sorry I mean outside left. Watching the TV the other night. Something triggered my brain cell to write about:-
The Football.
The football I used long ago.
Was made of leather, now you know.
Inside it had a bag of air.
I do not kid, it was just there.
Was not light, took quite a kick.
If headed, made you feel quite sick.
Men were men, in days of old.
I was one. So just be told.
Watched a match. The other day.
On TV when I switched on I say.
Was that a beach ball? I did see.
In pretty colours, he he he.
As I watched the match a while.
With just a tap, ball flew a mile.
Well not quite that far, it's true.
But tap it about, players did do.
Were some players swimmers, for they did dive.
Brought on my face, a certain smile.
Earn't a penalty. One did do.
Missed scoring the goal, he did it's true.
Football rose high in the air.
If rugby two points would be there.
But kick that ball, they sure did do.
So could my missus, I'm telling you.
She'd get that ball in the net.
As none would dare stop her, of that I'll bet.
But as that football looks so gay.
With pretty colours, I meant to say.
I guess them men could play all day.
As no one took their ball away.
Pretty ball diving too.
Is that football? I'm asking you.
If boys and girls come out to play.
They use balls like that every day.
Oh! It's hero worship, did you say?
Playing with coloured footballs today.
Well on that footnote I'm away.
To colour my football today.
I have to thank Dragon's auto punctuation for commas and full-stops. Although I had to type this statement myself as all Dragon did was , and . Have a nice day all you who read this here. If you do not, well I hope you have a nice day anyway, but you will never know I said that will you? (The mad Author)<

Thank You for creating me as Your workmanship by Your will
From hell’s penalty of sinful bill

Being Your sanctified, redeemed through compassion’s manifestation.
