Lord God, You Are My Refuge

March 4 Relationship to God Bible Meditations Based on Joshua 19-21 Key Verse –Joshua 20:1-2 The LORD also spake unto Joshua, saying, Speak to the children of Israel, saying, Appoint out for you cities of refuge, whereof I spake unto you by the hand of Moses.
LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY REFUGE Lord God, You are my Refuge, giving me life eternal by Your grace Thank You that You assured me everlasting gift always Taking me out from hell’s darkness with Your compassion-rays To hoist me up toward heaven of forever glorious days. Lord God, You are my Refuge, granting me Your protection’s best part Thank You that You came to me, reaching my heart Turning me toward Your gracious start To help me pass through temptation of miserable dart. Lord God, You are my Refuge, guarding me with Your triumphant fight Thank You that You made an end to my sin-condemnation’s fright Tying me to Your mercy and truth’s freedom-working delight To heal me and my soul in by Your Word’s counseling light. Lord God, You are my Refuge, governing me by Your omnipotent hand Thank You that You allowed me to flee into Your promised land Training me to pursue Your will with my biblical stand To handle me with Your assigned command. Lord God, You are my Refuge, guiding me by Your presence so near Thank You that You arm me with Your spiritual gear Teaching me to face challenges of discomfort-fear To hear me as I come to You with my sincere tear. Lord God, You are my Refuge, greeting me with Your encouragement Thank You that You cheer me midst redemption-settlement Touching me for the conquering of my sorrows’ sentiment To hide me in Your forgiveness as I confess my iniquities’ defilement. Lord God, You are my Refuge, gladdening me inside Your will’s safety Thank You that You rescued me from slaying transgression-penalty Testing me of my faith against doubt, unbelief and uncertainty To humble me by Your unfailing goodness throughout eternity.
