Lord, Help Us Serve You
Lord, thank You for saving us from hell
By Your redemption-grace* excelling compassionately well.
Help us serve You, winning others as the Gospel wondrously tell
So that in heaven they can surely dwell!
Lord, thank You for rescuing our souls from the lake of fire
By Your forgiveness-love, fulfilling the perfect sacrifice You did require.
Help us serve You, warning others about penalty of sin’s mire
So that godly repentance they can sincerely desire!
Lord, thank You for sanctifying our nature from filthiness
By Your regeneration-mercy, vanquishing spiritual death's destructiveness.
Help us serve You, teaching others Your Word amidst worldliness
So that they can ultimately submit to Your righteousness!
*Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.
