Rock little seahorse
Down under the blue
Rock 'till a new moon
Brings love back to you

Without any hoofs
And a shell for a tail
Rock little seahorse
Let new love prevail

You were left in the ashes
Of romance and ruin
Stuck on a storm shore
That was your undoing

But love is eternal
So why do you cry
Living in sorrow
When love says goodbye

Life is a carnival
Filled with delights
So, find a new sea horse
And rock away this bleak night

Most Gorgeous Seahorse

He is the most gorgeous seahorse in south side bay.
His colors are enriched and lively, his ambiance is gay.
He wears his designs in the freshest, fanciest new way.
We follow him with our camera, not knowing what to say.

How Do You Play Pattycake With a Seahorse

How do you play patty cake with a seahorse this tall?
I had seen it before but could not explain the process at all.
Let’s hide behind this coral reef, and maybe it will happen I said.
The first few things that floated by were gross, sticky, and clearly dead.

Are you sure there is a seahorse here?
Yes, and a mermaid too, I saw them both quite clear.
We waited until our tanks were almost out of air.
Finally patty cake game happened between mermaid and sea mare.

Seahorse Mania Is Afoot

Sea horse mania is afoot
I see them in my sleep
Thanks to a collector daughter
They prance and neigh

Ridiculous I think
There is loud laughter
A splash from my water glass
Two land on my bedside table

Snazzy seahorse shimmering and showy
Sashaying in succulent southern seas
Seen by several serious sea-gazers
Solidly shifting and shrinking - simply scintillating!
A silhouette of shimmering scales

magnificent monarch
of the sea meanders
-- a momentous march
mythical and mesmerizing

The Ancient Seahorse

Immortalized there in the Trevi,
Poseidon and his wondrous steed;
these legendary beasts of the waters
gallop the ocean forever free.

Ancestry of the charmer sea horse
forever pulling a gods’ chariot;
noble they grace heraldic armor,
gallant specters swimming free. 

With flailing flukes they do serve,
part fish, part horse mounts of Nereid;
eyes of spirit see the silver chariot,
on the waves of a glistening sea.

Reflected high up in the heavens,
Hippocampi hide among the stars;
for in constellation of Capricornus
these creatures will forever reside.

A Seahorse Glimpsed

I came across a coral reef
a seahorse glimpsed
sudden taste for beef

a pregnant pause
'pon gulping down
that dainty horse
  ~ all fifteen pounds

Seahorse of Gems

I see a Seahorse riding a wave
A body of gems
Sapphires Rubies Emeralds & Pearls 
She rides on her tail 
Such a beautiful swirl
She rides with such grace
A Royalty expression on her face
She owns the waves
A master of the current
She rides with the wind 
Ruby eyes so observant 
Her nose points high
Through a fog in the sky
An illuminated brightness
Leaves a minute of blindness 
I curtsy to Gods creature
A Creation of beauty
With eyes of rubies
Through fog soaring 
gracefully 
Disappearing so peacefully
A memorable moment 
I will keep for eternity

The Seahorse

The Seahorse
He floated among the seaweed, tail curved, belly fat
Watching as a small plankton came closer and closer
It swam strangely moving this way and that
Till it ran into the seahorse and caused him to smolder
“Watch where you’re going, you hit my baby”
“What are you talking about? You must be crazy”
“Stop making excuses for being so plump”
“Why else would I have this great big lump?”
“Because you eat too much food”
“And what food would that be?”
“Why, let me think about it, oh, well me”
“Gulp, well that’s what he gets for being so rude”

My Seahorse Brenda

My pet seahorse Brenda was blond,
She loved a poor fish in the pond;
He was not aware of this,
And so he took her amiss,
When in his big tummy she spawned.

Seahorse Roundup

They started when the need to keep the school together,
as the golden sided fish travelled in their world of water.

Is isn't difficult to imagine riding one of them,
herding the school to keep it from becoming chum.

Just as the West had its run with the herds on the trail,
So too, does the water have its schools run with their tail.

If I can dream of being a ropin' a doggie,
I can certainly dream of keeping a golden school being caught by a froggy.

"Yahoo, ride 'em and push 'em there cowboy" on your mustang pony,
"Yeeha, keep 'em swimming and together" on your seahorse pony.

They're a little harder to saddle under the water the way they ride,
Upright without legs and a tail that they can't hide.

I'd name my seahorse "Blue",
That's the world he'd travel in, too.

Herding the schools of golden sided fish,
Knowing that none would ever reach a dish.

It's fun to imagine riding "ol' Blue",
And that's the way I'll leave it for you.
