Rumblings Poems - Poems about Rumblings

Premium MemberPeaceful Rumblings

there’s much to love about rolling thunderstorms
and feeling safe at our cottage in the countryside

rumblings of thunder while rain splashes foliage
with its relentless pitter patter banter

a lightning show across the lake so we may savour
the peacefulness of it all, its feeling of surrender

a breeze gently swaying branches side to side
vibrant greens under the steely grey

ashen-faced neighbors
slow-motion explosion
the pretty dollhouse

Premium MemberThe Haunting Adventures of a Dirty Blonde Knight-Reporting On the Rumblings

LeClaire was at his Traitors Post
Getting a roast
From the Indian seller
One heck of a yeller
“I did not have an affair!”
She did swear
“I sold this guy
What he wanted to buy
A nice gift
To give his new bride a lift”
LeClaire
Felt very scared
There was no time to stop

My heart
It does rumble
Aching for
The sight of you
The feel of our hearts
Pressed together
Beating one beat
Beating one beat together

Distant Rumblings

Distant rumblings
tug at my permanence.
Muffled metal
click-clack
of worn track,
soft metronome
of travel.
Iced roar
crystal contrails
plotting a course
through the heavens.
Far away hum -
rubber kissing
asphalt avenues
of escape.
Distant rumblings
tug at my permanence.

HEMISPHERIC RUMBLINGS

Lightening that flashes between two hemispheres
Hail falling in droves behind the eyelid’s curtain
Showered hair standing up in precipitation’s fight
Each nerve ending sharing primordial foreboding

Distant Rumblings

A distant rumbling
slowly turns unwary heads,
anticipation’s curtsy
awaiting stillness.
Homage before the deluge.
The delicate staccato,
of clouded future,
cold touch, a victor’s mercy,
counting coup on flower beds.

Premium MemberIntrospective Rumblings

Monsters lurk in dark corners of my mind;
fueling hate and raw, primal urges.
And adept at guile, cunning, and finesse,
they're invisible; thus invincible.

Preachers fishing for the souls of sinners;
use paradise as an alluring bait.
But a faith that is tainted by untruths;
retains the pungent aftertaste of lies.

Sane and insane coexist in my mind;
and I am unsure which

Hurt Rumblings

I am
The moon
The fluid dam
You throw ash at me
Like a volcano sore
From the ancient deep of core
Time melt your memory
Into liquid convulsions
What trace of me in rocks
Was there for observations
Is gone from broken bonds and locks
Of love the murmurers broke away
Your fire can
