The Practice

Such is our meditation art We invite God into our heart Then we shift into his abode On feeling bliss ignition start This path’s pathless, there is no road Each breath we take, to God an ode Standing still, we be to become The bliss flame, striking mother lode Bliss beats strum, hark the cosmic drum Heart’s door open bids love welcome Our delight, hidden in plain sight With nary a care for outcome Teleported to zenith height By bliss cascading day and night Vaporised self is one with God In His domain of love and light 02-September-2022

The Dance of Shiva Within

The dance of Shiva within Enveloped by bliss, day and night Form’s transmuted as living light Soma nectar drips in each vein Vaporised self dwells in delight Fears and desires, to rest are lain Magnetic heat cleanses soul’s stain That that remains, is vibrant bliss Love’s searing power, we ingrain Boundaries blur; everything’s this Each touch divine, a virgin kiss Mother boosts our soul’s vibration This moment in time’s all there is Prismatic love’s joy sensation Entwines us with all creation We be to become, bliss thunder In stillness, by resonation 10-May-2022

A Crude Visit

A Crude Visit
(Rubiyat)

Standing out front with shopping cart
Disrespecting mother not smart
Telling her that she is now dead
Words piercing deep breaking her heart

To him I’m just a “seed donor”
Yet he’s acting like a stoner
Throwing out abuse from his mouth
I’m feeling now like a mourner

Oh my heart’s been broken in two
Now what am I supposed to do
It’s so hard to explain this pain
I know the Lord will pull me through

Tougher skin needed on this bone
Although at times I feel alone
Trick of the enemy I know
I do know all hope is not gone

I pray for strength along the way
That He would guide me day by day
Trying so hard to understand
Right now all I can do is pray

So Called Dangerous Minds

They gives a us a voice, but don't want us to speak.
The president's black I bet he doesn't write his own speech.
Words that he speaks come the people that keep in unequal,
D.C. is evil the future is bleak.

Unless among us is a Malcolm X
All for one and together we're stronger than the rest.
My mother strong ,God is our Father
Jesus Piece lays on my chest.

Moment of truth what's left to be said,
word is bond
nothing is worth more than respect.
Which needs to be earned
shots fired so I'm hitting the deck.

Deep in the street cracks is where secrets are kept,
Nikes on the feet of the ones who keep running for checks.
Turnt cheek to the causalities take a deep....
Breath after breath, war between us, love lost in between deaths.

Mother Nature

Mother Nature..

I see a mountain; wake me up there.
Tired of dreaming, no time to spare.
I will be flying soberly drunk.
I am just living, don’t ask me where.

There will be some light full of delight.
I am tired of darkness and night.
I will be drinking, drinking the dew.
Thanking the sunshine, shining so bright.

I am waiting and waiting to see.
Watching your sunset under a tree,
Seeking for wisdom, seeking your path,
Flying toward you, dancing with glee.

I am so lonely, sky is my friend.
Talking and smiling, so I pretend.
I will be seeing you in my dreams.
Waiting and hoping how this will end.

Tell me where you are; I am abused.
Lots and lots of pain used and misused.
Tell me what to do; I am so lost.
It is no wonder I am confused.

Mother

“On earth, mother is face of God ~
Urging us to give love our nod”
            ~ quote by poet

Transcendence which is non-dual,
light eternal where holds God’s rule,
is wherefrom our soul self-aware,
to grow in love, comes to earth school.

Polarised, love with love does pair,
Divine Mother providing care,
whilst God or Father, is vast space,
the plain truth, as scriptures declare.

Our Mother holds us in embrace,
bestowing upon us God’s grace,
so that we learn to stand erect,
heart purified, of sin no trace.

That we may choose pathways correct,
love divine makes head-heart connect,
whereupon wakes up, dormant soul
and God’s light, begins to reflect.

Mother’s touch alone, makes us whole,
guiding our soul, in its life role.
The Mother is Holy Spirit,
light most exalted, monks extol.

On May Sixteenth

I waited as I always do
for at this time what would ensue!
It happens in the month of May.
Like clockwork, it again came true.

It was a quite nice, sunny day
as I drove up on my driveway,
beside which stands a lovely tree
nearby where starlings like to play.

I saw those starlings soaring free,
and as they swooped, enchanting me,
to my front porch my eyes were drawn.
Can you guess then what I did see?

Five rose bushes my eyes fell on -
the only bushes by my lawn.
Though all through winter they’d been dead,
they’ve greened up with cold weather gone.

Spring’s here for sure. Yes, winter’s fled,
and never have I been misled
by Mother Earth. I’m welcomed each
mid-May by that first rose of red.

Bridging the Distance With Love

woke to the phone ringing early morning at four,
worried answered the phone fearing what was in store,
“ Mother had a heart attack” heard my sister say
tears flooded my eyes, I froze and could hear no more!

distances and separations of modern day,
families prised apart as dreams take them away,
to far distant countries across the seven seas,
how ageing parents yearn for their offsprings to stay!

flights unavailable would not get there with ease,
Covid tests quarantine were additional tease,
rushed to hospital, doctor friend did her life save
but thousand miles away my heart was not at peace!

we were united thanks to Smart phone we all have,
smiled, sobbed blew kisses bridged the distance with a wave!

Kundalini - Divine Mother

Kundalini - Divine Mother Forged from earth’s crust, we are but dust Deluded heart, enslaved by lust We flounder about, incomplete Till spurred by kundalini’s thrust Ego’s ways lead but to defeat Best we surrender at God’s feet Emptiness within magnetised Dancing to the divine bliss beat False mind dies, nothing’s weighed or sized In timeless time, God’s realised Heart’s living light, essence of soul In Holy Spirit’s stream baptised As we gently enact life role Divine Mother’s touch makes us whole The gist is this, cease to resist Making God-connect, our sole goal Open heart and an unclenched fist Transmutes us here, as a love mist Boundaries blur, nodes within stir Bliss beats unendingly persist 11-May-2022 HMS, Rhymezone Rubaiyat Contest Poetry Contest Sponsor: Sotto Poet Notes: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kundalini

Destiny's Chance

When the rain had stopped giving earth her bath,
And sunrays shone upon the winding path,
I sauntered slowly to that great abyss.
My wandering had never felt such wrath.

Fleshy mushrooms growing on either side,
Where the Angel of Death could never hide.
Her whiteness invited a peaceful taste.
Feeling the texture my tongue still inside.

Something eccentric was calling my soul.
Trickling water had filled the sinkhole.
Mother earth had swallowed the raging flood.
I heard my mind screaming, “Jump from this knoll!”

Forty-five feet down should stop endless pain.
I remember making love in the rain.
Laughing for hours while our wetness dripped.
Will butterflies visit daisies again?

Such dark reflections traverse the expanse.
Birds sing again; make the two of us dance.
A yellow warbler on a fallen tree –
Today destiny cries for one more chance.

Heartbroken Forever

Have known many kinds of love and deep grief, love has drifted away a withered leaf; and my sad tears could fill the oceans blue, death has come many times as a life thief. My love buried by an angel statue, his black tombstone is covered with mildew; the deaths just keep coming with no relief, I buried baby with a teddy new. When I lost my mother I was shattered, my heart broken in pieces and tattered; for my mother was my anchor and glue, and life became meaningless words scattered. Each day I wear a mask of joy and glee, so no one will know the sadness of me; too many friends and family adieu, father and grandma also souls set free. So many pet cats I loved gone above, each flew to heaven on wings of a dove; when I think of them I become sad too, the feelings for pets is a special love. ______________________ February 24, 2022 Poetry/Rubaiyat/Heartbroken Forever Copyright Protected, ID 02-1433-460-24 All Rights Reserved, 2022, Constance La France Written for the Standard contest, Some Broken Hearts Never Heal sponsor, Faraz Ajmal, Judged 03/21/2022 First Place

Twilight

Is it today now or yesterday still?
Is it time already for morning pill?
hazy light filters in through the window,
as crimson gathers over distant hill!

Can’t tell early dawn from the evening glow,
for me time stands still and the day is slow,
from downstairs sound of kitchen plying food,
my rumbling hunger signals time to go!

I walk in to dinning hall, panelled wood,
smiling faces greet me as sweet as could,
Coffee, bread, favourite jam and honey,
they wish me a morning, morning so good!

Some days I get visitors too many,
Some other days there are hardly any,
young girl comes often with two little tots,
When daughter’s name fails you, it’s not funny!

My son is very tall has grown so smart,
Like his dead mother very good at heart,
He brings little ones to play with grandpa,
they ride on my back playing horse and cart!

flickering thoughts..how memory ages raw,
life as it flows has to obey time’s law,
yet Love finds a way to overcome this flaw,
Love finds a way to overcome this flaw!

Revisiting Garden of Eden

Blest to behold Edenic paradise Marked with grace, perfection never denies My heart, awe-stricken, keeps on marveling Wondrous nature wrought by Creator* Wise. Mountains tower presenting grandeur height As summits kiss clouds for celestial flight Firmament lights witness the covenant To exalt Designer's glorious might. Flower terraces boast of vibrant blooms Wafting redolence toward heaven zooms Roses of Sharon greet waving Dahlias Lilies of the Valley smite gloom that looms. Ushered to Mother Earth’s orchard with bliss My soul basks under fruit tree-canopies While feasting on sweet orchidarium’s scent Enthralled by herbal garden I can’t miss. Cascading waterfalls of crystal gleam Offer refreshing glow midst hope-filled beam Reviving faith for serene service zest To ripple along flowing freedom-stream.
*Isaiah 40:28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. Sonora: the Desert

Harsh sunlight beats upon the thirsty land
And glares upon the limestone cliffs and sand,
While waves of heat rise shimmering, above
The parched loam where the great saguaros stand.

And perched up high among the spines thereof
There broods in camouflage a mother dove,
Whose eggs lie hidden by her breast, her nest
A knitted niche of neatly-knotted love.

Along the desiccated ground, impressed
By tiny running feet, crisscrossing lest
   A predator should see, a rodent’s track
Evinces its unending hungry quest.

Concealed among the stones of brown and black,
Its body hidden stretched along a crack
And waiting, watching for unwary prey,
There lurks a waiting, patient diamondback.

Ephedra, sage and creosote all stray
Along the rims of sere arroyos. They
Succeed in thriving: an exquisite feat
Amid the barren soil and rock-hard clay.

And seemingly unfazed by searing heat,
Up where the mescal trees and heaven meet,
Cicadas make the wasteland throb with sound,
Their many-years’ interment now complete.

The desert’s lush abundance will abound
With form and color rarely elsewhere found --
Throughout one sees the working of that hand
Whose word and wisdom nature will expound.

Sublime Oneness

Nature constantly calls to man through wondrous colors and endless song As stewards of her magnificent beauty, to lend respect while yet, we're strong Seek wisdom in her silent messages brought to bear as seasons change So our children may inherit a beautiful legacy and learn to live healthily and long Blessed is our world with four elements, earth, wind, water and fire Given to sustain perfect balance, by maintaining nature's desire They preserve these sacred cathedrals in which creation may freely worship Wherein all souls may congregate, finding peaceful respite and aspire The glorious sun spreads brilliant light and heat, as it feeds, it heals The wind blows, wherever guided; dispersing sleeping seeds And rain falls in the right measure to sustain in and out of time As Mother Earth retains her fertility while blissfully she serves our needs This oneness, so sublime, exemplifies sweet serenity which exudes Reminding us that in harmony, we would long exist if peace, we include Earth would remain a haven in the universe, where God's creatures may fully thrive To ignore stressful pleas would usher in dark days, and life as we know, will elude ~*~

Fond Remembrances

Start
My dearest mother I miss you so much
As a baby I yearned for your delicate touch
May you be happy wherever you are
I always feel your presence as such

I know your dwelling now is very far
At night I see it as a twinkling star
Overshadowed by the brightness of the moon
But unlike the moon there is no scar

As a child you fed me with the spoon
I outgrew that stage very soon
Your embrace was wrapped in love
Which gave me comfort and was a boon

Your bickering was like the song of a dove
Your threats were delivered with a kid glove
Like when you threatened to twitch my ear
I ran out of reach on to the terrace above

Memories linger on through the years
I felt secure in this world without any fears
Images of you I shall treasure always
Who would guide me and dry my tears?

In the morning during those happy days
As my bed was engulfed by the sun’s rays
I was woken with a gentle caress and a kiss
And told to be an early bird which always pays

Life was easy, carefree and full of bliss
There was ne’er a moment I would like to miss
I looked up at the birds and wished to fly
High in the sky and look down into the abyss

If only I was there for that last goodbye
I would have embraced you, without a sigh
Deep in my heart you will ever be near
My beautiful angel from the heavenly sky

Can you see our plight, my mother dear?
So far away, our wails you cannot hear
Life clings agonizingly to the body in a clutch
Violence and killings keep us in constant fear

End

The Way of Bright Honour

o seeker read these words and weep
for thy soul so still asleep
as yet unawakened to
this world of love divine and deep

o seeker hear these words and sigh
thy soul and god are ever nigh
divided by the doors of mu
unopened 'til the day we die

unless by dint of effort one
may bring the doors of mu undone
enjoying thus enlightenment
ye lama, sufi, saint or nun

what is the point of seeking this
when life is won by kill or kiss
and pleasure reaps its own reward
why bother with eternal bliss?

yet the mystic path endures
the sacred flame divine allures
the love of truth and wisdom high
even though all love injures

o seeker fill thy heart with joy
all pain dissolves if thou employ
the wisdom of which masters speak
to each and every girl and boy

o seeker fill thy mind with wonder
if ye hear the sound of thunder
understand the lightning strikes
to split the living tree asunder

for if the living tree survive
rent to the heart exposed alive
what might it say to bears about
the bee, the honey and the hive?

so can thy soul be struck by love
from below or from above
when the bolt is from the hand
invisible without the glove

ember in the hearth of home
star of truth high in the dome
hand of divine destiny
pearly shell become the comb

mother earth and father sky
long ago created i
living songline living still
o seeker dost thou wonder why?

o seeker pray and meditate
live and love and contemplate
render naught to worthy not
raise thy children true and straight

o seeker sing a soft refrain
perceptive be and still remain
turn the blade of vagary
with harmony for love to reign

is life through which we fleeting pass
a grain of sand inside the glass
or the eye that sees it fall
compassionate despite the farce?

how great the beauty so sublime
of poesy replete with rhyme
harmonic of the simple truth
transcending bonds of mortal time

i heard thee calling from afar
ahura mazda avatar
keeper of the sacred flame
sent through the doors of time ajar

thy silent voice so sentient
spake words of wisdom and lament
once heard in kingdoms of the rose
still written in the roses scent

simple message yearning for
one open heart from evermore
light on water musical
perfumed garden, divine law
