Premium MemberToo Late

	He, beseeching –

I raised my pleading eyes
as I saw you pass by.
You looked through me.
I was invisible.
My eyes searched
for understanding.
You did not say “I’m sorry.”
You busied your nose in your phone.
My thirst apparent yet
you offered nothing.
You clutched your coffee tighter
although you saw my want.
Your bagel a life-send,
you passed by imploring hands.
You turned away
from my entreating pain.

	I, reproving –

Too late…to comfort you.
Too late…to buy your lunch.
Too late…to bring you coffee.
Too late…to listen to your stories.
Too late…to offer consolation.
Too late…to extend compassion.
Too late…to save myself.

Often my neighbor needs a little reproving,
“He’s always lying if his lips are moving”.

When he gives me news I consider the source,
this guy is “windier than a corn fed horse”

He doesn’t always like what I have to say
and quickly replies ”every dog has his day.”

Sometimes what I say induces his growls,
But I don’t worry, “a hit dog always howls.”

He’s been this way since he was half grown,
I once heard it said “he lies like a tombstone”.

He said I’m handier “Than hip pockets on a hog,”
and last year “His trees we’re bribing his dog”.

He’s such a liar “he’d beat you senseless,
and tell God you fell off a horse”

Premium MemberDreams Fade Away

I am in a hypnotic TRANCELIKE state, but not a dream.
The pain went away and became a SURREAL discovery.
In these HAZY times, my heart swelled with esteem.
I was in a DREAMLIKE inspired by the natural recovery.

I tumble faint pain, staring at the ETHEREAL paradise.
A yellow dwarf in the SHADOWY flow by a focal spot.
Responsibility outlines our reality until we verbalize.
An overzealous ego caused the IMAGINARY threat.

Hallucinations versus UNREAL degrade over time.
Even though I'm stuck on my bed, afraid of the cold.
A girl using a wet, fluffy towel wiped my tears slime.
I'm so centered today that I can't let my eyes behold.

Dispose of all else, and aid will arise as required.
As I flee earth ties, my vitality and skill grow.
It makes me feel refreshed in my mind.
Spooky areas that reflect the spirits undergo.

Now I'm feeling pretty optimistic and trusting.
My life is back to being fun and lovely subdue.
The natural day is peaceful and hardly reproving
Simply, it's because I was in love with you.

Premium MemberIn My Heart

"Like the silence that screams, cursing solitude
Whispers of faith sing patiently with prayers…"
Regina McIntosh, "Heart Universes"

In my heart’s universe reigns the King of grace
Granting forgiveness packed with clemency bliss
Vanquishing guilt, freeing me from anguish-brace.

Love pervades over my soul from heart’s abyss
conquered by Prince of peace, Saviour Jesus Christ
prevailing against sins, confessed by faith kiss.

Around my heart is joy, contentment-sufficed
Filled well by God Who can satisfy indeed
Supplying me with bounty, heavenly-priced.

Reproving hypocrisy while checking my need
Dear Friend visits my heart’s fellowship chamber
Where in communion, my spirit He does feed.

Meeting me for service revival ember
brightening my heart against frustration blight
My Father assures with hope to remember.

Thus, in my heart*, worshiping midst triumph light
Holy Spirit leads, marked by His law’s delight.

*Psalm 40:8 I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.

Premium MemberFarewell To Selfish Venture

Bidding farewell to worldliness' festival
I turn to Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God*, Source of spiritual revival...
He graciously wrought great changes in my life by His grand arrival
Assuring me salvation from hell’s condemnation and sinful survival
Giving me glorious life eternal, enabling my divine blessed upheaval.

Saying goodbye to pride-caused blindness
I move on, thanking the Almighty for illumining by His loving kindness…
Healing my soul’s iniquity-afflictions with His wondrous forgiveness
Clearing my blurred vision through His wisdom’s counseling brightness
Upholding my biblical faith, subduing my skepticism and doubtfulness.

Lingering midst serene adieu-flight after parting from selfishness-blight
I praise the omnipotent Creator-Lord midst His holiness-might…
Smiting my vain arrogance to yield humbly to His supreme sovereign height
Reproving my grievous disobedience, leading me to His will, perfectly right
Bracing me upon His strength so I can serve Him with joyous delight.

*John 1:36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!

Premium MemberEmpowerment From Above

I need God’s help from above, His empowerment’s might
Ready to smite my haughtiness of carnality’s arrogance
Reproving me of my stubbornness along pride’s elegance…
Humbly yielding, my heart accepts His aid that does providentially smite.

Midst my debility inflicted by sin-caused frailty
I come to the Saviour Whose love makes me to be soul-stilled
He deals with me by His precepts, correcting my being self-willed…
Now, I submit to Him fully, loving and living for Him – my Lord Almighty.

2Samuel 22:33 God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect.

I seek the Word of God for my faith-account
Restating my need to depend on the Almighty’s promises so many to count
Rehearsing to me glorious creation wonders I can never discount
Relating to my experience miracles I’m glad to recount!

I submit to the Word of God for my revival-empowerment
Reproving me of my worldliness by the Lord’s righteousness-judgment

Savannah-Zimbabwe Graduate

Plucked i am,
From the flowering mopane
By the mother of the mischievous ones,
Only to be reduced
To a reproving stick.

Safe and secure i am,
Or rather i think i am
In my seemingly fortified pod.

Later disposed into the arid savannah
Where the hooves of migrating buffaloes
Forcibly crush me out
Seeding me into the infertile sands.

Scorched by the tropical heat
Patiently i wait,
For the refreshing summer drizzles
Giving back the hope of life.

Braving the blazing heat
I struggle out of the soil.
So that i can start my own.
Facing the new environs with the naivety
Of a chick just out of a shell
Trying to stand on my own
I become food of antelopes
Returning back to mortality.

Freedom

dear 'lovin' parents
im taking my leave of you
we'll see if you really miss me
im done with all the hurt you inflict
even though i dont have any scars on the outside
i have them where it matters most
im taking my freedom out of your hands and
doin something for myself to actually accomplish what i want
to do in life without havin your reproving eyes condem
me everytime i come home from school,
im tired of all the names you call me and
the things you tell the other kids about me
so thank you for my freedom and have a nice
life of being control freaks and hypocrits.
i have my freedom in my grasp so this is
goodbye
