He was a servant's son, young and proud

But expressed his opinions out loud

By the will of the King

He braved the guillotine

So now he heads off into the crowd

sensuality immortalised

Gone is the era of the Renaissance Man
Who delved into Milton, Voltaire and Rosseau
Knew the difference between Cezanne and Gaugin
Could parse a sentence and quote Henry Thoreau

Came Woodstock, he was buried deep in time's sands
Covered over by Joplin and Country Joe...
Social media's dug man's hole even worse

Premium MemberChrist Is a Renaissance Man

I'm  your fix it person;
your personal renaissance man, I'm your burden bearer;
just doing all I can,
just lean on me, I have a better plan;
you think you do sure you will;
place your soul under a hill;
redeem yourself I'm better than anything else;
and all that's left is Christian guilt;
more than mere mortal and not just a mere man;
no one else care for nor no one else dare to
be here for you for I will do that that no mere man will do;
I have infinity for truth and it's for you;
Christ your burden bearer provider endeared;
does what He can for He is I Am when no one else cares for no one else dares for;
be there for you for I will do that, that no mere man will do;
for He Is I AM Christ is a renaissance man

The Renaissance Man - Part Two

))rowned of twelve stars his moon these pearls....
Curious tiny eyes their hearts, gazing from afar: Gemini ?
Immanent's immaculate gossamer wings descending from upon high
Sparkling prisms in light colourful beams dreams: God'sent, fingertips erasing time.

Renaissance Man

I was thinkin' 'bout you the other day babe
How much I looked forward to talkin' to ya each day

You were right when we broke up
I don't appreciate a good woman

I seem to fall in with the shallow crazies
It comes from one too many beatin's

Too many people tellin' me I was stupid, as a kid
I never would amount to nothing, they said

I don't know when my conscience began to die
For what reason? Well, I can't remember now why

When I was teenage boy I suppose
One day my gaze just went low

No friendships were in the cards for me
Survival was my only thought, to be free

I never respected anyone, nor loved
It was all about me when push came to shove

I ran away and became a warrior at sea
Grew to be hard, deadly, and mean

I went through women from east to west
They served their purpose at best

Some call me now a Renaissance man
That I have grown wise and kind

But I'm really still just that beaten and abused kid
Afraid to trust anyone, just trying to survive
