Sucker Punched

Sucker punched.
Gel filled.
Gnawing.
I felt the grass and ground mummify.
Feet are like root vegetables that get raked up.
Slam.
Sucker punched.
The new bunker they built.
So fancy that no one would believe I lived there.

Part 1

So, the Old Cat and I were talking this morning. We were in the kitchen. No one else was awake. I was enjoying my first cuppa and he was grooming. We came to the conclusion that Life Is What It Is: Run like mad from the oncoming freight train, and never neglect a nice spot of sunshine.

Part 2

Death is a freight train
hauling cargo to the afterlife~
your ticket is punched,
your departure is scheduled.

Part 3

Let us drink from the waters of forgetfulness
On the shores of the Lethe,
Nearby waits the place of which philosophers spoke
Grasping for the eternal cosmos of being;
Everlasting existence without ego,
Vanity is vanquished when shedding the mortal coil
In-between what was and what is to come~
Transforming into glorious light,
Yearning to be free.

Christmas Punched the Clouds

"Christmas Punched the Clouds"

Christmas
punched a hole
in the clouds
and out came
Sunshine

Santa's Helper.

stans sand

Whole Punched

Imperfection keeps me fertile,
like the storm upon the plain

Measuring the distance,
of what’s lost and sometimes gained

With my thoughts I mark the hours,
left uncounted looking back

The choices made and prices paid
—endorsing what I lack

Premium Member Sucker Punched

I can't recall exactly when
Life swung and hit me on my chin
I"m ashamed to say, it knocked me cold
When I came to, I woke up old

While I was out, I had a dream
Of juggling on a balance beam
While jumping hoops, upon one leg
And one wrong move, cost one nest egg

Was it yesterday or the day before
I had it all but wanted more
When days were long and fears were short
Carouse by day, at night cavort

Yesterday, less was more
It must have been the day before
I wish I'd seen life's sucker punch
'cause now my memory's out to lunch

Wine Punched With Tears

Wine punched with tears...
& agony of some years...
Makes a deadly combination...
Simply enough for self-annihilation...!

Moist memories...maddening moments...
A multitude of heart-breaking sentiments...
Rare is such painful intoxication...
That resembles a silent assassination...!

When tides erupt in the seas within...
It hardly matters if U lose or win...
U hardly care if your eyes rain...
If U are an addict to pain....!

Wine punched with tears...
& the agony of some years...
Add wings to the dormant senses...
That gushes out from self-imposed fences....!

Punched In Face By Fist In Face (High Critique Face Punched Version)

errrr strings burst from sirens
lights strobe in our ears blinding us
i can hardly listen to speaking mumbles
a heavy bass resonates between us
down another drink upside down
countdown to rundown

ooppps punched in face by fist in face
blood falls out of face that has been punched by fist
blood from face falls on floor fist removes from face
placed down by bodies side
unclenches

screaming idiots covered in plasma
laugh silently
punch angrily
die readily

night ends on sticky floors
fight ends before it began
light comes on
get out get out

Punched In Face By Fist In Face

errrr strings burst from sirens
lights strobe in our ears blinding us
i can hardly listen to speaking mumbles
a heavy bass resonates between us
down another drink upside down
yeah thats quite entertaining to millions
not so funny on your own

ooppps punched in face by fist in face
blood falls out of face that has been punched by fist
blood from face falls on floor fist removes from face
placed down by bodies side
unclenches

night ends on sticky floors
fight ends before it began
light comes on
get out get out
homeward bound i headed
alone again naturally
another great night some would say

my head will not agree with my stomach in the morning
neither will its contents
