THE LONELINESS OF A CODER

“Good night, everyone!”
One by one, they retreat to their rooms,
Drifting into dreams,
Resting for the day ahead.

But I remain.
In the dim glow of the living room,
Laptop perched on a blue table,
Wi-Fi connected, headphones on,
Soft LoFi hums through Spotify—
My only company.

VS Code flickers to life.
Electricity is nocturnal here,
A fleeting guest that only stays at night.
I must seize

Teachers, Gossiping, Lost of Productivity and Wasted Time

Lately teaching is about gossiping
Sipping on information to discredit another teacher
Blowing the whistle to try and harness someone’s weakness
So that the teacher that is gossiping can benefit
By trying to belittle someone

In so many schools
Teaching isn’t the main objective
The horror of gossiping floats through the staffroom
While religious robots add to this dilemma
Our fight before was against

Depression and Productivity

Depression makes it hard to do the simplest chores,
Like doing the dishes or mopping the floors.
It’s difficult to wash your clothes,
To just wake up or clean your toes.
Impossible to get up out of bed,
With guilt and sadness filling your head.
Some of us feel nothing at all,
Everyday harder and harder to clearly recall.
When

Watching Dogs On My Lawn

Watching Dogs On My Lawn
The faded beige cushions begin to warm as the sun rises above the palm tree in my backyard. As if beige isn't already a faded color, yet it soaks up the heat like any good brown, black, or a dark green color would.

What does it take for the truth

Productivity

The machine is king
Making money is god
Selfishness is the religion

The underdog is the new third estate
The backbone of society
Is the modern slave
As he gets only the minimum wage

Up we arise in the morning
And off to work we go
We might not be home
In time for dinner
As work is all we know

To the boss we will be
