Premium Member I Sing Praises to My Name

               My rhythm is just awful
                    my rhyming’s out of sorts
As I light each poem’s tail
                    I hope that it aborts

                 Iambic pentameter
                    speaks not to my heart
                 Perhaps that is one reason
                     critics tear me apart

I’ve served my time: waited tables
                    washed cars, begged for money
                 Yet my poetry presents indifferently
worst of all ~ it ain’t even funny

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TO UNCLES

When our father died,
You uncles became “Daddies”:
We, foster children:-
Our children called you Grandpa;
Theirs know you as Great Grandpa:-

Glory be to God,
For you Josephs, in our lives:
Blessed we have been!
Happy Father’s Day, Uncles:
Uncle BO and Uncle DENNIS!

We blessed Lowe children–
Lou, Norma, “Deac” and Sula–
Praise God for you two:-
You and your labors of love,
Today, we share happy tears of love:-

Praises

Shall I not call ye a blessing,
for I find peace in thy hands?
Shall I not fumble out words of praise
to thee who hath filled my heart with delight?

Long have I waited for this day,
thy smile as delightful as ever,
and thine eyes sparkling like the night sky…

On Solid Ground

Don't you ever lose hope
Keep your feet on solid ground
Never doubt the Lord's great love
Seek Him while He may be found
The angels sing His praises
They exalt His mighty Name
They would move heaven and earth for Him
Leading souls who once knew shame
Alleluia blessed is the King
Throughout times of great trials
Peace to His people He will bring

He Is With Me

I cried out to God on bended knee
I listened as He prayed over me
That prayer made all the difference
Yes indeed it set me free
Now set free I am so joyful
All the day long I sing His praises
Lifted high above the heavens
He's with me all of my days

Premium Member Ocean Praises

When my heart's bell does toll,
it worship-chimes for my soul.
I excite while driving to align
with sights God made divine.
Under tropic sun glow, I walk
where divine defined waves roll.
Sitting in morn-soft sand, I give
God thanks for His beach design.
As waves tease, then leave, I pray
to cradle all God's ocean enables.

Your energized words
nourish and heal my spirit
with uplifting joy...
Your wisdom's cistern
fills the dry cup of my soul
with inspiring hope...
Your enlightenment
dispels dark negativeness
airing hopefulness...
My saucer of mind
is filled with sips for others
likewise seeking light...
May your vibing waves
continue frothing my mind's
shores with peace and love:-

Love And Joy To All

You are a God of mercy
One of pure unfailing love
Your love for me is perfect
And it comes from up above
Your angels sing Your praises
Singing joy and love to all
Trusting the Father's praises
Jesus come yes when I call

Praises to my friend

Maybe they don't know, my pen
We've been crafting before my age of ten.
We've been friends for quite a long time
You and Ayinde- Partners in crime;
Together We've written about love and hate,
About true inspirations, and ideas we contemplate.
Koda, we wrote about life and it's tribulations
And it's manual that has no stipulations;
We wrote about cool, falling springs
About imaginary eden with roses and swings.
We wrote about the eclipse that just reoccured,
We're so gifted even Shakespeare concurred;
We did write 'bout an okin from Offaland,
And only those in the bloopers will understand.
We wrote about oppression and corruption,
And about a land of plenty, with no'ing for consumption;
Thousands of poems, performed in the African Hall,
With you and I, gracing the geography laboratory hall.
We are inseparable my dear bamboo pen,
Who made me an oracle amongst men.

Premium Member Whispering Praises Without a Tongue

WHISPERING PRAISES WITHOUT A TONGUE
how can I praise Him
without a tongue whispering
beneath my chin my voice box
opens resurgent’s
strewing out atrocities
whisperings without a tongue?

Bloom With Love

BLOOM WITH LOVE
A budding flower opens up
To sunshine and the rain
As it blooms in all its beauty
It sings a sweet refrain

When opening up it praises God
By wondrous bright display
To the child passing by
It gives a happy day

If we are like the blooming flower
Growing more in love
We certainly will make angels sing
As they view us from above
