SOME FAIRYTALES - LIMERICKS

A prince who’d been changed by a spell,
Was an ugly frog in a well.
To a pretty young miss
He said, “Give me a kiss.”
She replied, No thank you, you smell.”

When asked by Prince Charming to wed,
Cinderella shook her fair head.
Thought, not for a ransom,
He’s not very handsome
And she married Buttons instead.

When Snow-white saw the dwarves in the hall,
She observed they were not very tall.
They were children she thought
And decided she ought
To apply to foster them all.

The dragon had breath fiery red
And the people wanted him dead.
So Saint George was dispatched
But, unevenly matched,
The dragon slayed Saint George instead

Georgy Porgy, pudding and pie,
Kissed all the girls and made them cry.
Nursery Land was aghast
At what had just passed
For Georgy was a girl, that’s why.

On the pretext of finding water,
Jack chased Jill and then, when he caught her,
They got carried away
And the following May,
Jill gave birth to a little daughter

GEORGY PORGY REVISITED

Georgy Porgy, far from shy,
Kissed the girls, I don’t know why.
Such a thing, for me and you,
Seems a funny thing to do.
And Nurseryland was in a whirl,
For Georgy Porgy was a girl

Premium Member My Miniature Odyssey

Some days I just wanted to tread muted waves
not knowing whether
what grazed my leg was a porgy,
or a Leviathan reaching out to me from the gradient depths.

The paranoia kept me afloat,
the fear drove me to swim to shore.
When I made it back to the sand,
I chose not to live as I did before.

Walking away, I looked back at the dunes, gray and dulled,
yet the sun cloaked the sky in an orange nightgown.
The ocean smiled that evening,
a pearly white grin born from the descending gleam.

From what I saw in the horizon
in the sheen, dimensions were torn from the seams.
the sea’s teeth melted away,
its dentures rotted into a violent green.

A craterous head, so alien, so organic
crowned with mesopelagic knickknacks.
Phosphorescent eyes surrounding its gelatinous skull
poked out of the boiling cauldron that was the Atlantic.

Its behemoth sized hand, with fingers gnarled and gangly
erupting so fast!
Contrasting the married sky of lavender and apricot
Levi, then gently waved me goodbye.

Nursery Times

Georgie Porgy pudding and pie
Was trying to think of an alibi.
He should have been in a corner
Sharing pie with little Jack Horner;
He’d been rudely awakened that morn
By little Boy Blue blowing his horn,
To find he was cuddling little Bo Peep,
Still in his arms and fast asleep.
She’d awakened with a shock
And run of to tend her flock.

He wandered off to the Knave of Hearts
Hoping he’d not finished all those tarts.
He gave a wave to Jack and Jill
As they both ran up the hill.
He heard a yell and turning around
Saw young Jack come tumbling down.
He rushed off to find a miss
Or three or four for him to kiss,
Then spend hours running away
When the boys came out to play.

Life was good most of the time
Here in the land of Nursery Rhyme
Except you had to play your part
Every time some one made a start
And told your tale to the very end
Enough to drive one round the bend.
Georgie Porgy pudding and pie
Rushed off to work with a sigh
Thing could have been worse after all.
Think of poor Humpty sat on his wall.

Cheeky Little Nile Bugalugs

-Cheeky Little Nile Bugalugs-

I could fall on a turntable and raise the roof. Let the beat drop, but what’s the point scallywags?

Crickets chirp unwanted truths into my ears at night. Leaf the poor sauerkraut alone.

Saunter through the valley of the shadow of death. Feel ecstatic to run the entire pilgrimage’s course.

Safe bets aren’t the way to go. Poverty makes a man hateful.

Sweet sounds of comradery swell, The wave crashes down on the innocent.

Time to set the stage, umbrella’s will be encouraged. Don’t know what’s lurking above.

Never finished a rubix cube, too much time…Not enough advances.

Crease…And snap! The willpower of a lily shouldn’t be overlooked.

Purple innocence like the Nile’s nectar and lettuce combined, make a fruity concoction cocktail of Aphrodite’s vengeful lust.

Orgy porgy swimming in the labyrinth of soma incorporated.

Here Lies the Poetic Warlock

Here lies the Poetic Warlock, a poetic rhyme slayer;
From the U.S. to Bangkok, he was an international game player!

He was born Jimmy M. Anderson, and he overcame all adversaries.
His slams were very contemporary, and his word-play was extraordinary!

He was the great, great grandson of the legendary Edgar Allen Poe.
His poetic guns had more ammo than the military and yet he was kinda a Romeo!

He chased the ladies, like Georgie Porgy Puddin Pie.
It is said, he was born in Hades, and that's why he was a demonic poetic samurai!!

Wrote strictly for Andrea Dietrich contest "Poetic Epitaph"

Two Friends

Mr. Georgy, Mr Porgy
Both were great friends in the field of apology.
Mr. Georgy frowned if questioned.
Mr. Porgy answered him with suggestion.
Both of them were ignorant in the beginning
But when they started studying they
found life very interesting.
Mr. Porgy learned in a few days
But when Mr. Georgy saw this he started losing his senses.
Mr. Porgy explained that some learn soon
and some learn slow.
Those of which learn slow
understand it thrice the more.
Sometimes lose and sometimes gain
For fantastic results we have to take some pain.
In a few days Mr. Georgy became popular in the city.
Mr. Porgy, Mr. Georgy both understood apology in reality.
One day both of them died out of heart attack narration,
Now they are in the heaven discussing
the happy- active life with attention.
