Phloem Poems

Something fun

If you would like to have F U N,

When shall we?

Shall we climb into some trees and
Seep our emotions into the autumn leaves?

Follow their transition along the seasons
And cuddle our nervous excitement through
Columns of xylem and phloem?

Waiting For the Sun

Waiting For The Sun

There is a fire in me that is too much for this world
Smoldering deep in the roots of my soul
Flames budding, their blossoms longing to unfurl
Up xylem, down phloem, reciprocal control

Failure means you tried
Would rather you had died not knowing?
Successes can be found
When you stop, stare at the ground
And suddenly you've found
By new heights
You're still growing

Eventually the spring will come
Thawing frosts the winter spun
Always darkest before the dawn
Ever waiting for the sun
So count your rings, and stand up straight
Brace yourself against the wind
Hold you glow and embrace the wait
For your time to shine again

In the darkness is where you find the light
In the silence you can lift the sound to life
And every time I find it, it gets brighter
And every time I lift it, it gets lighter
Why can't you be a lover, and a fighter
Jack of all trades, master of none

Secret Mathematical Code In a Goat

Who claims to understand the universe?
and which genius claims knowledge,
of secret mathematical code in a goat’s head,
probably used by the mysterious Originator,
to create the universe; and the one to destroy it?
What if each created being has a secret number,
the thing once discovered brings into existence,
or can bring to the end the cosmos indefinitely?
Suppose I dream as a lunatic does that;
each phloem of a tree has a secret figure,
DNA of animals each has a hidden figure,
non-living things each has a secret figure,
insects that we see each has a secret figure,
and microbes each carries a secret figure,
stars seen each bears a secret numeral,
winds and the air each floats a secret figure
elements in the universe each with a secret figure;
and something somewhere has a secret period
The secret figures written together as one number
in space within accelerating dark matter
infinitively can be the formula to end universe!
Which mathematician, genius, computer
can compute eternal reality of the unknowable?
But the fact is; anything that originates, ends.
The things so vulgar like a goat could hold
secrets about origin and end of the universe

Fealty

Doing nothing, for no
obvious reason, engaging
the travails of self-watch, I do
not want to confront the propensity
of withdrawl.

The elder pain blooms, again
like Ipomea. Will not stand the
bright sun’s gaze, I will sail?
out between the blackened
teeth and stammering
words.

It sucks, the female snake.
The phloem, the flora. A tree kills
its own birds. Cannot ambulate
tender promises. A stricture
chokes the poem. Double-
edged truth lifts the weight.

Moon knows the art of giving.
Sends the blood tears.

In love with words- I'lyezette

Have always loved words,
that take over my emotions,
The muse flies swift as birds,
as pen sets ink in motion,

Deeper in thoughts I drown,
when no words come to my rescue,
Failure then paints frown,
awaits a reecho to pursue,

Masterfully crafted and chiseled,
gleeful words rock in phloem,
On soup's first page I sizzled,
as an eloquently structured poem !

Poem written last year-
For the love of words

Deep in love with words,
I keep digging through the day,
Although words fail me,
Still can't help reverberate,
I am a structured poem !

Goodbye

You said you got my back
But when i turn around i see no one
You promised to make me special
But am feeling so cheap, damn am on special
You thought you love me perhaps
But now am drinking a litre per-herbs
**** felt like you stabbing my heart and now it disturbs
The blood flow now my heart is leaking
So i thought i should just write a poem
So ama transport the food myself cause iam my own tube phloem
Neglected my friends and family so it was only just us two
Even got your name on my skin in a form of a tattoo
Die for you? oh yes i would have done that too
Am gone now
Wont even turn back
I'm scared of wrong turns
You watched me as the sun-burns
My forehead, heavy stuff on my mind **** feels like i have four heads
I guess i slept like a log and i just woke up in the fire place
You expected me to fold myself in half like a brief-case
I was going to brief you about the case
But now i finally stood up
Hold myself together mybe am bio
Five fingers in the air including the palm, bye yooo

Eggflobber

rest your toes on the tree

xylem and phloem flush away a bad week

syllables keep coming in threes

wonderment of Fibonacci

on the twenty first datilla

rest The Annunaki

spherical plateau of comfort

cosmic vanilla on the breeze

tickled palms by The Ohm Tree

giggling majesty

powerful foci of consciousness

witnessed by me

I traversed the great hall

dancing to traffic

elasticated like gum, boings a 5 dimensional sun

where should have been walls there was fun

instead of plastic there was love

instead of choice

her beautiful voice

a biomechanical song

exactly exact, ebbflow plus something else

I call it Infinity

but that's just a guess.

Brooding

Mauling
the dna profiles
of sparten apes, to get rid of
little god of dark cave-

someone is breathing violence
amidst the marigolds.
The frogs
are jumping to become

denizens of trees, but naked
phloem will not feed them.
I am walking along the windows
to avoid street lights.

Want to see the face of moon
in distress. The clean truth
will not be visible, till the delicate sun
empties out the red urn.

Project Poetry

When I needn’t bother to write a phrase,
I can think of a rhyme in a dozen ways.
But when I have to, I sometimes find
I have to think, to use my mind.
I find it like biology class,
For there we get confused so fast.
We have a time telling xylem from phloem--
But I’ll be darned! I’ve written a poem!

This one I wrote in high school and it was published in a student project booklet.

Premium MemberFall Shades, On the Ochred Phloem

Senses are aware of a cavernousness,
And of a stillness almost quietley abrupt..!

softness of light & air surround all,
deft as breath as from a doves wing reposing

billows of liquid descending are as grains,
the seeds of an "almost raining"

A lowering of horizion encompasses,
Valley, ridge, and outcropping crag's

the listening atmosphere waits...
breathless as soil is enriching

Close by mammals disturb the folds of fallen bracken,
with bursts of muffled sound, as hand in hand lovers stroll around

Ethology of the Slack Jawed

What kind of erroneous stink drifts so heavily in this 5X5 home
We have constructed with mud and sticks
I sleep with feet piercing through the front/back door
The cicadas are nesting between my toes up to my nose
The morning has slung its unnecessary burdens upon the scion tendrils
Shooting from earth cracks in the garden
For those with phloem, it is certainly time to address photosynthesis
Take it or leave it
Like it or not
My hands are coated with the dreams of someone else's ghetto parking-lot perfume
I rub weeds on them over the place mat/front porch
In attempt to remove the added waft
So singing to the little birdies that shat on my car long before my departure
From vertical to horizontal
Kinda makes me feel a little more like bathing in the estuary
Once again
