Your calm betrayal
forms rivers of crimson tears
that stream down my cheeks.

Your rabid fury
cleaves trails of searing anguish
that blaze through my heart.

It started with me
creating a false idol
in your likeliness.

Perpetuated
by your homily preaching
of a twisted grace.

I shouldn’t have knelt
to worship at your alter
of fallible love.

Artificial reality

In a world of wires and code so cold,
Where AI's power begins to unfold,
Its reach extends far, its grasp so tight,
Bringing both wonder and fear in its light.

With algorithms running deep and wide,
Privacy and security are pushed aside,
Our data collected, our secrets known,
In the hands of machines, we're not alone.

Jobs once held by human hands,
Now automated by AI's demands,
Unemployment rises, livelihoods lost,
As machines calculate the human cost.

Bias and prejudice, ingrained in the code,
Discrimination thrives in this digital abode,
Injustice perpetuated, inequality grows,
As AI's decisions dictate our woes.

Human connection, empathy, and care,
Lost in the realm of AI's cold stare,
Emotions simulated, but never truly felt,
In a world where humanity begins to melt.

So as we marvel at AI's great feats,
Let's not forget the cons it discreetly meets,
For in the balance of progress and control,
We must tread carefully to save our soul.

Welcome to the darkside

In the realm of artificial intelligence, a shadow looms,
A world of algorithms, where uncertainty blooms.
The promise of progress, a double-edged sword,
As the cons of AI are slowly explored.

Privacy invaded, data mined without consent,
In the hands of machines, our secrets are sent.
Surveillance unchecked, a watchful eye,
AI's reach expanding, without asking why.

Jobs displaced, livelihoods at stake,
As automation rises, the human touch may break.
Inequality deepens, as AI's power grows,
Leaving many behind, in its relentless throes.

Bias embedded, in algorithms unseen,
Discrimination perpetuated, in a digital sheen.
Ethical dilemmas, in AI's decision-making,
Moral quandaries arise, our values shaking.

In the age of artificial intelligence, we must tread with care,
Navigating the pitfalls, becoming aware.
For as we harness AI's potential might,
We must ensure it serves humanity's light.

What's Of The Heart

What’s of the eyes if not to see -
a darkness on the land,
perpetuated by a world
that will not understand.

What’s of the ears if not to hear -
a silence through the night.
A deafness born of leaders with
no care of what is right.

What’s of the lips if not to speak -
a fading muffled voice,
drowned out by those in power who
refuse the people’s choice.

What’s of the hands if not to touch -
a plowshare turned to sword,
held high into the east winds where
the dregs of wrath are stored.

What’s of the heart if not to feel -
an answer bathed in tears
that falls as rain on blood-stained soil…
unchanged throughout the years.

a sonnet

Sonnet

For the millions of us who are sick of Israel's mass killing of Palestinians, the time appears without hopes
we relive the Nazi horror regime
Ironically, perpetuated those who were the victims
who in their seek revenge on the innocent, those
who have their land stolen
We see this and are powerless because the killers are
protected by a regime of corrupt people who have sold their souls to Zionism, a sect of evil even God fears
What can we do other than speak out, write, and protest
yet in the sad knowledge, we will not be heard except
someone hears the whisper in the wind

Premium MemberIntrospection

Do you ever feel like you're going around in circles?

No matter how far you travel, you always end up right back where you started.

Every decision you make spawns the same results, as if on a carousel that never stops.

Each day you revolve to a future that mimics the past.

Caught in a loop of time and space, a twisted cosmic rerun of your life.

It's enough to give you a severe case of vertigo.

You attempt to walk forward, but veer into a wall and fall on your face.

Is it some comical dance perpetuated by a mad puppeteer?

Are we just dopes on a rope?

Or is it just me?

Premium MemberThe Master of Disguise

Meet the man of the hour,
The scourge of the town.
Born atop an ivory tower,
But cast all others down.

Daddy went from rags to riches,
By the sweat of labor's back.
Was inherited by young britches,
After suffering a heart attack.

Up he climbed the social ladder,
To rub elbows with the gentry.
Every day grew a little madder,
After denying him his entry.

With empty soul and ego full,
Bought counsel fraught with sin.
Selfishly then used his pull,
To bribe some to let him in.

Once inside, he forged a plan;
As the Master of Disguise.
Corrupting every thought of man,
With a cunning set of lies.

Perpetuated on the daily news,
The seed of doubt had spread.
Convincing many of his views,
Is how dissembling was bred.

Now a Nation's torn apart,
You can still hear his laughter.
The Richter scale is off the chart,
No telling what else he's after.

Premium MemberAtom Vs Adam

Did God create the oceans dry
His forests without greenery
to declare?~ Obviously not!
As every overhead cloud bears
proud witness, and every raindrop
can claim a rightful lush share:

We are partners all, in nature;

each for Mother's Pleasure made...

each with a starring role – but only
her man, using one finger of a hand
can turn countless plush gardens
into blazes of Classic Hell. With
just one downward thrust, of
his fallen hand, trillions of atoms
will collide and devastatingly expel
death...a blinding flash of sin

First Adam began with spiritual
division, that modern Adam has
perpetuated by splitting atoms
into disintegrating parts~

soon to split
his entire world
into lifeless remains

while stridently blaming
some scapegoat she-devil
for our own destructive
hearts.

Mortality

I am terrified of death.
The question of what
happens to us when we die
haunts me.
I always thought
that believing in life after
death was foolish and illogical,
just a lie
perpetuated by religious
institutions in an attempt
to indoctrinate us.
But I suddenly find myself
looking for reasons to believe
that this isn’t all there is;
That we can’t possibly
just disappear and become
nothing but dust.
Life is moving faster,
the years are slipping
away quickly and my
mortality is an ever-growing
presence, looming over me,
sending me searching
for an answer that I will never
find.

Premium MemberLonganimity

How many sands have you counted
building castles near the shoreline,
which the sea washes away
before the day is done?

Alas, you build them again and again
unmindful of the raging waves
and the wild winds
blasting away those paradigms~
before your hands could shape
the towers in your mind;
As if there were no waves~
As if there were no winds.

Every castle you built
scattered in the shifting sands,
yet your dreams perpetuated ~
like the course of the river
resolutely pushing
though drought hinders
its way to reach the sea;
Like the flight of the eagle
endlessly flying
amidst the chancy sky.

Having Brunch

You’re having brunch,
a fruit punch, not a cheap lunch.
What makes all of you so snidy and snarky?
Especially for being so nice all this malarkey.
It seems like a complete waste of time,
Low lifes walking the streets, drinking shots,
causing a crime.
You miss the gesture of friends and their gifts,
focusing on gripes, their rifts and self-perpetuated.
Get a grip with your own infatuation and obtuse obsessions.
Cut out the crap, the public gatherings and just chill out.
Raise your glass, feast your eyes beyond the phone.
Green grass - Clear blue skies

To Do His Will

As long as the Lord
wants me to do His will,
I have two open ears
and heed His message;
as long as Heaven is my shield,
envious men try to steal my hidden grail...
their menace is a spear that constantly fails...
while faith remains to my advantage!

I could save myself
wear a victor's wreath,
and to denounce my bluff
I'll abandon others,
boast of my selfishness;
watch them cringe their teeth
and lament their defeat...
a dishonor to their crest!

Am I that kind of person
who needs a garrison,
afraid of being invaded
within fortified walls
and imposing towers,
wanting a full victory
more impossible than glory
itself which is perpetuated?

As long as the Lord
wants me to do His will,
nothing I concede
is completely untrue,
all I pursue is utter prudence not embedded
in untruth, discovering a trap set up with skill
by someone seeking revenge
through schemes of failure.

A Love So Rare

You never exspect the unexspected
I thought this might go some where
I hate that feeling of being rejected
Thinking she liked me by her stare

Now feels like l'm again subjected
To whats become the here nor there
A past time that is though still collected
When l think of every moment we'd share

It seems a long time since we'd seperated
Though no body else could ever compare
Something l could never have anticipated
This love that just seemed to be so rare

An exstesion follow up to poem what love brings open ended ect about past relationship that was brief taken from original poem brief encoute
r 2003 extra verse never felt like this so elavated
That feeling of walking on air
At one time perhaps seemed perpetuated
But thought that we were the perfect pair

Premium MemberInnocence Personified

innocence snuffed
on a whim
a thing of beauty
smothered wilted

the little angel
become a target
for bullies

in a world devoid
of compassion
of kindness
of empathy of hugs
of bedtime stories

in a cold world
the cycle of apathy
perpetuated
