Who wants to be the King of the castle when you can be the Queen?
I believe that us women are capable of anything
We can reach for the stars if we want to
I’m in my soft girl era right now
I’m living the soft life
A day at the spa will get the job done
After a long day a pedicure and manicure can take the edge away
I’m not fighting with anyone
I’m blocking all the hate and bad energy away
I’m putting myself first and living in my feminine energy
Soft life is the lifestyle
I’m glad I’m embracing the woman they I was meant to be
Soft skin
Long hair and smells so elegantly
Soft life is where I want to be
I embrace the soft life
It is definitely meant for me
I might be made to endure a hard life but I deserve a soft life

Green grass, cut once or twice weekly
A CEO might shave twice a day
Edges and hedges trimmed nicely too
Manicure, pedicure in seven days due
Rolling lawns with everything just so
Like the ascot of the CEO
If underneath lurks mud, ooze and slime ~
Grounds for the perps to do time

I've never had a manicure
and yet I'm still a man
Though my fingernails are ugly
you should see my tan
Please don't suggest a pedicure
I don't need lovely toes
Fishing knee-deep in the river
they're apt to decompose
So I eschew the 'hair salon'
for ye old-fashioned barber shop
Where my man Floyd still uses
scissors, broom and mop

Please, remain calm Resident:
Just for the New President...
I can see in his tenure
That farms shall meet rich manure,
Farmers quite huge bags procure,
Less of farm losses incur,
Sick plants and animals free cure
And, first, economy, cure!
So, relax Tense Resident:
You shall have Sweet President...
One who shall fight Man's failure,
Close Office of Sinecure:
Keep saying "Not my tenure!"
Allow to stay: Manicure,
Not embarrass Pedicure,
Orders that their taxing sure,
To not escape same Coiffure...
President for 'The Long Poor'
Not included Roadside Whore;
Against her shall go to war,
Tell her to her face "She's raw"
And her kicking out in store...
Means, therefore, all residents
Need to cheer up dissidents.

I
My short poem below will be updated by February 13th.
II
On PS, one current contest is about Valentine's Day ( 14th February). I do NOT usually enter contests, but would like to thank PS and it's poets for ALL they do and seek to get right. To those poets missing spouses and lovers, I'm encouraged when you write of Love that endures and overcomes. It is Agape. So I honor your feelings & offer my love-poem

You are the only one - not that there are many
Who loved clipping my bad nails: manicure AND pedicure
You are the only one that keeps me youthful, beautiful
And said it too: 'perfect' nose, not Pinocchio
For those who learned NOT to celebrate the body
You are a happy-sprite-healer, Earth's trinity
Now - not pastor, but a missionary prays:
Break curses of time, for 2022 Valentine

Hangnails are painful, wish for a cure
Wish they'd disappear, need a pedicure
That's only for the ladies
Tough guys ain't dainties
We just grin and bear it pretend it ain't sore

Take care of your feet
those clay looking things
molded by a blind sculptor
hardened by miles and time.
Sure, treat them to a pedicure
powder-paint jewels on the nails
pet them like twin royal elephants
that'll take you to beautiful places
that could never be reached otherwise.
They helped you discover new things didn't they,
like numbers as your mamma counted them lovingly.
When your old and alone -when they ache all of the time
when you're no longer flexible enough to pet and paint them
you'll know you've tasted whirlwinds and lived a fulfilling life
and when you die don't let them put shoes on those elephants
have them bejeweled ,let them dance one more time in the light
yes I know it looks more like a boot than a foot

The Simple List
Life can be fun and we must make the most of it. So, I have made a list of the ten simple things I find most enjoyable. Some of these activities can turn a sad day into a happy one under just about any circumstances. There is no priority to the order.
1. Streaming a good movie.
2. Getting body pampering, ex. massage, facial, manicure, pedicure, hair
3. Having lunch or dinner with a friend
4. Making someone else’s day happy and complete
5. Shopping online
6. Writing a poem
7. Visiting a park in sunshine
8. Having prayer
9. Dressing up and taking selfies
10. Talking on the phone

Breathtaking blue her sparkling eyes
Rapturous red her ruby lips
Passionate pink her soft, tender cheeks
Luscious lavender the skirt 'round her hips
Torrid turquoise her manicured nails
Palatial purple the tiara 'cross her forehead
Eminent emerald gleam her toes' pedicure
Winsome white the silk sheets on her bed
Lovers knock on majestic mahogany doors
Heavenly hopes swelling their heathen hearts
As she raises or lowers her scarlet-red scepter
Whole kingdoms elevate---or tumble sadly apart

Oh! My gosh. What is it with the girly girl
Adventure?
They say looking great is a lure
To capture
An amore. To me that's a whole other
Venture.
I am such an amateur.
I am not looking for any more pressure.
Now on to the brochure
Which supposedly has the beauty cure.
Their prices are not high on expenditures
It features
Hair cut to style which includes shampoo,
Dry, make over, manicure,
And pedicure
All done at our leisure.
For our listening pleasure
All work will be done to the overture
Of Bach which some deemed as torture.
Any way the end result was everyone comes
Out a beautiful relaxed creature
Who has been in hiding like a lost treasure.
We are supposedly feeling less insecure,
And more sure,
Of our future.
I need a picture.

Man-I-Cure
It is 1918 and feet from the trenches require a shake up
Rotting and drenched by blood across enemy lines they
Shout ‘Peace’ and ‘This was the War to end all of the Wars’
A pedicure that is although amputated limbs have been
Discarded by the wheel barrow have found a gravesite even
Though not all are buried alongside their own bodies attached
Does a soldier’s cross rest upon limbo or on ultimate reprieve?
Faces blown into pieces require no makeup when cerebral
Matter has vanished alongside with reason a shot in the dark
Fortunate ones have their wedding rings taken from lonely fingers
Sent home as a message of a final farewell to weapons and arms
Bewildered by chemical distortion some blind are leading the blind
As they march quietly back from the front to an uncertain future
Who won this battle with whom was it lost and for what purpose?
In the mascara parlour of gas masks floating on poisonous vile air Egos
Require treatment as modern warfare rages on in contempt of mankind
Will a ‘Man-I-Cure’ ever be more than a cover up for assault on our strife?

Barefoot
I’ll take off my shoes and socks, and walk barefoot in the sand, I will think about my past, while I’m staring at my hands, after swimming for miles, I am finally on land, I am always by myself, I am just a lonely man. I’ll take off my shoes and socks, and walk barefoot in the rain, yes my life is getting better, watch my hate go down the drain, I have all these secret thoughts, I have all this hidden pain, even though I have these thoughts, nothing’s wrong inside my brain. I’ll take off my shoes and socks, and walk barefoot on the floor, give myself a pedicure, I am happy to the core, getting sandals and flip flops, I am always wanting more, I will have to wait and see, what the future has in store. I’ll take off my shoes and socks, and walk barefoot in the grass, I am wiggling my toes, when I think about my past, rub my tootsies on my own, it is not an easy task, when I was a happy boy, childhood went by too fast.

My nails grow longer in the heat,
I like to keep them short, hands and feet,
pedicure and manicure by the girls in Phuket,
they give you more, full service and yet . . . .
I don't need my shoulders or head massaged,
there's a slap on the back as their fingers emerged,
nothing too intimate otherwise I might get ********,
the personal service should be my selection.
Now there's a mask on my face, an extra they say,
don't worry, it's free, you won't have to pay,
I'm not too keen on cucumber, peer over the edge,
shouldn't be so fussy, after all it's a privilege.
I walk out of the shop, spent my last Thai coin,
can't help but notice - there's a swelling in my groin.
