Man, O Man, O Manicure

   I've never had a manicure
and yet I'm still a man
   Though my fingernails are ugly
     you should see my tan

   Please don't suggest a pedicure
     I don't need lovely toes
   Fishing knee-deep in the river
     they're apt to decompose

So I eschew the 'hair salon'
     for ye old-fashioned barber shop
Where my man Floyd still uses
     scissors, broom and mop

That's a manly poem if I've ever seen one. Plus, what would a manicure cure anyways?

Gershon, my husband got a laugh over this one! He and our youngest son love to work on cars together. They often sport the 'mechanic-ure' of motor oil under their nails after an automotive fix-it session no matter how they wash their hands. My son seems downright proud of those smudged and calloused hands to tell you the truth! I love this one, I'm faving it :D

I admire your barber Who works with simple tools. He smother your thick hair with lather And he makes you look really cool. I think who should keep your nail clean If you have been toiling away all day Then why would you need fake, nail polished hands. That wouldn't stay that way.

I never use nail polish anymore. Now I use 'nail-kranian,' ever since Poland and Ukraine's relationship became strained. lol.
