Money is Welcome Everywhere
"It's not the money, it's the stuff!" Bernadette Peters, the Jerk.
"Give me the MONEY!" Cuba Gooding, Jerry Maguire.
“Do you smell that? Money!” Paul Newman, The Color of Money
Buys us our fancy cars, fine houses, pretty mink coats, ritzy computers,
But also purchases...
groceries, gasoline, toilet paper, Sharpies and notebooks
money is welcome everywhere.

Paul Newman eyes, superhuman strength, tremble my knees.
Tom Selleck moustache, soft brush of sexy invites my kiss.
My sailor’s shirt tapped me on the shoulder, “If I said
you had a good body, would you hold it against me.”
When my “prince” knelt down to tie my shoe, not glass,
I fell in love, way too fast, before I could breathe.
My negligee, on fire with his wanton eyes, marries me.

There I was at cinema in the 70s
being a cowboy fan this all I did
so went to see latest fad at the movies
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
It had real stars like Paul Newman
Robert Redford and Katherine Ross
what a pair were Butch and Sundance
robbed many a bank showing who's boss
The highlight was my favourite song
raindrops keep falling on my head
Ross and Newman riding on that bike
such harmony whenever script read
whenever rain falls through the sun
one thinks immediately of fav song
making one's mind instantly to remember
so start yourself to always sing along
So good now have movie on DVD
play as often as one does want
get favourite song on youtube too
so go on look it up now real pront!
(My favourite song of 70s was 'Raindrops keep falling on my head' from one of my all time fav movies ' Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid' )

White America
Is just stupid
I disagree with Cupid
We're all the same race
we're human,
we're the same

He stands against the old barn door
relaxed not a confrontational bone,
thin as a pitchfork's tine.
Farmhand, hunter, true-shooter,
the lens flatters him.
A ring of white T-shirt gives a reverse
halo to his lantern-jaw.
Loose fitting pants rumple
just right atop his kick ass boots.
He stands against an old barn door
who held up who the real question—
a bit of James Dean in pocket pressed hands,
Paul Newman in his eyes.
Flannel hugs him. (When the woman aren’t.)
Capped by a bent brimmed hat,
he's rolled to perfection.
I’m sure the name tag on his shirt
didn’t do him justice—

He starred in 'Move Over Darling', 'Grand Prix' and other flicks.
He was James Garner and sadly, he died at the age of eighty-six.
He starred as Wyatt Earp in 'Hour Of The Gun'.
Six years later he starred in 'One Little Indian'.
He starred in a cameo in 'Alias Jesse James'.
Many years later he starred in 'Skin Game'.
In 1960, he starred with Natalie Wood in 'Cash McCall'.
Three years later he starred as Doctor Boyer in 'The Thrill Of It All'.
He worked with Clint Eastwood, Paul Newman and Dennis Weaver and that was
cool.
This talented man also starred in television shows, one of which was '8 Simple
Rules'.
He had charm that his fans couldn't resist.
Now Garner is dead and he will be missed.
[Dedicated to James Garner (1928-2014) ho died on July 19, 2014.]

p aul, to hear his name reminded one of apostles
a n ordinary man given to extra- ordinary actions
u n dieing in his legacy to children and the needy
l aughter always edged the corners of his eyes
n ewman, what a named revelation, Paul Newman
e nergized by a thirst for the fullest life
w as there ever a more complete man, this legacy
m arried for fifty years to Joan, fathering six children
a nd still one of the best actors the screen has ever seen
n ewman, a man’s man, a woman’s dream and a star.

That was something unexplained that I saw:
Paul Newman was playing poker against Robert Shaw.
Robert Shaw had four nines, and was happy to stand.
How did Paul Newman get four jacks in his hand?

Torn apart a heart, not a soul,
you struggle.
No matter, you stay the course
stay whole.
Blue eyes brash, brazen,
ashen blonde hair
fight the establishment
“What the hell did you care!”
Cut the heads of the parking meters
like the Red Queen in Alice,
a laughing lunatic drunk on inequity
for that you get a chain gang,
no King's palace.
Even incarcerated you nobly rise.
Tyranny can not your spirit abide.
You run, you loose, your life controlled
a prisoner in the south’s underbelly.
You’re not paroled.
And, in the end you’re told
“Only bastards and cream rise, George.”
And, you’re neither.
And, so you see
I rationalize my success
and my failure for
neither am I.
