One Day Wonders

The World's 'One Day Wonders,' 'the' is borrowed
it's an article, they are transmitting 
a way of thinking, theirs--much rather showed
--be their forte. What's that word, sort of, goad
people? I did say 'theirs', way of thinking.

There has been someone who creates a scene.
It's sort of their job, naught that they're been paid
for their services, but they are quite keen
at what they do. An elaborate screen,
an opportunists, hated for their trade.
 
A puppeteer, user, trash disposal,
all necessities, their operations
to be prosperous. They will finagle
and infiltrate, and if they're successful,
establish themselves in your foundations.

Homeless Love Story

    You and me against the World.
Living on a prayer, for real.
I will protect you girl, from the cold, 
as it ravages the breath and sends them inside.
I will protect you from hunger, 
"those are your favorite, I am not very hungry anyway".
I will pretend to slip occasionally, 
to make you gasp, as we walk along 
to nowhere and everywhere

Nomads of society that they cannot see so clear.
I will protect you from the savages 
and the opportunists.
I will protect you from the ghouls and hopelessness 
that sneak overhead, black clouds like vultures, 
death eaters with no preference or conscience.
I will find us a way to get back up, 
where you can relax and know a better day.
She says, "you are my everything", and he knows, she means it.
Love is not homeless, it found one- sheltering from the storm.

Opportunists

Some opportunists 
Can tell you 
That Africa is
 A jungle. 
Just because they don't want 
Some people to visit 
Africa. 
Just because they want some
 People to look down 
Africa. 
Just because they want to get 
Some money through those contents. 
If you visit one of the  African towns like 
Capetown, 
You can be astonished  
To see some places
Which are very beautiful 
and clean 
Than 
Some erears 
Of the most
 Popular world
 City called, 
" New York. " 
I always 
Say to world friends, 
To visit African cities 
And villages, 
To  learn more about Africa
And Africans. 
Some Africans relocate to USA 
Just because of the men made 
unjust Systems
Which keep paralyzing 
The developement of Africans. 
Imagine , 
The most rich continent
 In natural resources 
Which could have strongest
 Economy than the other continents.

Caw Caw Caw

What do these crows say? 
Certainly, they’re not wasting 
their voice. Perched on the 
branches of the bay tree, 
they don’t fly in the sizzling 
sunlight. Long, short, swift, 
slow, vibrant, weak…Variations 
in the length and the size of 
their cry affirm their cawing 
is not meaningless. How can 
they be close-mouthed about 
the things around? They are 
never opportunists. Like the 
black oyster, there’s life within 
the harsh shell of their voice. 
Theirs is a pretension-free 
accent, conveying true emotions. 
Their raw communication is 
worthier than the polished talk 
with the hidden hypocrisies.
Though undeveloped, their 
language never lacks warmth. 
It’s the tongue of the heart,
spontaneous and syntax-less.

The Enemy Within

The enemy within 

There has been a war up North but after some times
the occupying forces surrendered and took the train
back where they came from.
Newspapers and magazines were (for a while) free 
of censors and horrific stories and pictures emerged
which the boy didn’t grasp and soon forgot.
75 years later, the boy, now an old man laid up in
a hospital ward gazing at a white wall remembered
the horrific photos he had seen.
Pictures of sexual deviations, torture and murder
not committed by the foreign occupier but by 
opportunists who thrive in the shadow of wars
Sociopaths for whom other lives do not matter
to enrich themselves and indulge in obscene sex
that cumulate in strangling their unlucky victims.
Sociopathy is not an illness, is for them normal
as they are not humans and therefore lack humanity
love is for them, feelings of scant importance.
They, the sociopaths, are well-educated people 
found in politics, the clerics, armed forces and 
business, where they can exercise power over others
The war in Ukraine is a good example they are
pumping in weapons and refusing any peace negotiation
to the extent of risking a nuclear Armageddon.

Veil of Youth

The veil of youth obscures the truth,
in minds susceptible to lies.
For they are newly exposed to
reality's underbelly. 

A duck-blind for opportunists;
the veil of youth obscures the truth.
And fledgling dreamers fall in line; 
wanting every lie to be true.

The foolish and naive get groomed
as enthusiastic hopefuls. 
The veil of youth obscures the truth;
yet the hands of time will lift it.

Mature minds recognize deceit
when their wishes fail to come true.
And a wizened heart understands;
the veil of youth obscures the truth.

Opportunists Stroll

Opportunists stroll the Earth forgetting where they're from
Underneath our magic moon and all below our sun
Killing time and what a crime to only go the distance
Relinquishing, diminishing spiritual existence 
Yes our body is a vessel to carry us along
For we have not made the ultimate sacredness beyond
Skin, Flesh and Bones beginning with a breath
Will not save a human heart from the course of death.

Beware

Beware of opportunists that come knocking under the guise of friendship. They're good at conveniently using the three magic words, "I love you," to take undue advantage of your genteel disposition. They are experts in hoodwinking you into granting them favors they don't plan on returning. You might have heard about or even known a soul, or two. Wolves in sheep's clothing who trick people into getting what they want. They know your weaknesses and waste no time using them against you. Once they get what they need, they run and hide. You're suddenly a strange face. When you're beset with misfortune and reach out for a helping hand, they scurry away like roaches when the light is switched on. Some hide in plain sight! You hang your faith on their promises only to see them ring hollow. Watch out for these con artists!

Greedy Opportunistic Prostitutes

They get a group of scientists and ask them to work on flying machines.
They give them flying machines and they use them to bomb cities,
so how can scientists be scientific if they have allegiance to their country,
instead of pledging allegiance to the earth managing resources intelligently.
This would be true scientists to me.
Scientists in the military are not true scientists.
They are prostitutes or greedy opportunists.

The Potters

Thanks to the potters of chop city
for kneading us a keyhole peek 
into a new green world dis-order.
Where all colors of the rainbow are represented
except for blue and the color of common sense.
A six block funhouse of 
intolerance-
intimidation
rape-
assault-
extortion
murder.
A murder of dregs 
descending on the naïve
and ideologues
where perverts and virgins 
bump and grind like 
dust devils and windchimes
until their weeping cherries popoff the vine..
A Mad land where the grown-ups feed their 
feral children to opportunists.
A never-ending fools food fight
where rainbows collapse into
sidewalk crappers.

Many thanks to the potters of chop city
for showing us how to knead a flower
into skunk weed in less than a month.

One Hundred and Three Arrests

You've heard it before, 
that love is the answer
but what of those
that are incapable of love.
Sniffing the throat of society
predators in the dark mist
spreading their stench.
Lifting their leg on societal dreams
opportunists waiting for an opening.
Of which rose colored courts are providing.
With four leaf clover revolving doors...
gambling on our dime-with our lives
spinning vermin back into our throats
killing our songs time after time..

One hundred and three prior arrests for this latest pest.
Surely not the poster child for "prison reform",
that they were hoping for...
One hundred and three prior arrests...
amongst them assault and sexual predation ..
His latest game, 
nonchalantly punched 
a ninety two year old lady(white).
Knocking her to the street...

You say love is the answer-I say not in all cases
Rabid slugs sliming society's blossom belong to none but the grave.
One hundred and three prior arrests. And counting.

Can You Smell the Fear

Can you smell the fear,
That is now everywhere,
Even where there is protective gear,
And media outlets of the year.

Extremists and opportunists the only ones to cheer,
As the grieving are tossed up in the air,
While others steal their gear,
It is just not fair,
That those who profess to care, 
Are turning a blind ear,
While planning more ways to spread fear.


When the dust begins to clear,
Who will have power they don't want to share,
And who will have kindness to spare,
Who will have a list of people they want to scare,
And who will be worse off than before,
Who will be deciding what is fair,
And who will be counting money they have made from the fear in the air.

The only things that seem clear,
In this atmosphere,
Is that cosmetic surgery will not clear the air,
And extremism will only spread more fear,
Money cannot replace kindness or a listening ear,
And if we don't give back some dignity to those in despair,
Fear will always be in the air,
Extremists will always be there to cheer, 
With media outlets reporting on all they care to share.

Blazing Parody

An answered prayer for those opportunists,
Stealing valued objects on their lists!
To make money out of what’s left and danger,
The goal of every human-scavenger!
Fire shocked the town’s men,
They run on errands from here and then,
Evil counts from one to ten,
Oh, my! What a mortal sin!
Inferno devours most abode,
As enforcers having insufficient load.
Basin’s empty, that’s what the gossips tell!
Hey, that’s an interesting story to sell.
Witnesses have their posed for FB cover
Looking proud and exclaimed,“I was there!”
Flame won over peoples’ hopes!
Since they keep on saving forks and scoops!

I Will Come Back Johnny-I Promise

My soul hangs half alive on the barbed wired fence
My body all bloody and my heart refusing to dance

My mind races to the battle field 
The image of that dignified soldier waiting to be killed 
I feel his faint heart beating as my cold lips depart him with a kiss
I hear my voice, “I will come back Johnny; I promise!”
There is no time to stop
There is a battle to be fought
Out of the hundreds, a few of us make it to the borders
There is no ranked officer to give us any orders
My Venerable body now a river of tears 
In a glass building, opportunists celebrate with glasses of beers
My promise to return- Johnny’s only blanket in this cold 
Unlike a Hollywood star, my battered body not so bold
Johnny departs his suffering in a day
Mine to be embraced each night and forever with me to stay

The room is filled with an aroma
They are love letters
Their sweetness tastes like honey
Their anger is like a lion roaring

They are game changers
They are trend setters
They are opportunists
They are risk takers

Their love is hard all the time
Their presence is felt all around
Their pride is their downfall
Their past is their strength
Their future is their stamina

Their sing the same song
They have stories to be told
They are kings in the making
They have an honour to be

Their wisdom is endless
They bear fruit in their own time
Their specification is crucial
Their gifts are priceless
