Oh, that voice in my head
I just did what it said
Invisible footprints
I followed - they led
A colorful leaf
On a breeze – fluttered by
A wonderful sight
Brought a tear to my eye
A sign on a pole said
“mask up or die”
I didn’t know whether
To laugh – or to cry
As an old feral cat
Tore the head off a sparrow
I struggled to walk
The straight – and the narrow
A squirrel on a fence
Spouting elegant chatter
Kept stuffing in acorns
His cheeks getting fatter
The tick of the clock
An ancient old thing
Reminded me that
The cuckcoo must sing
The song that’s imbedded
In levers and gears
Devoid of all feeling
Of hopes and of fears
I swing on a pendulum
Forward and back
A feral cat and a squirrel
Tied up in time’s sack

In spite of my age, I'm still hot to trot
Love ogling the fillies but sometimes get caught
Been slapped on the kisser
Almost stopped my ticker
What a way to go, better than a blood clot

A quandary could be said to be quadrilateral in formation but rusted tap thinks that water is very very soothing. Ok then thought the beaker I can fill now. Great. It is never to be said that a static shape is a star or a moon. Nor is it a combusting solar sway. Architect of arc. Ancient arrival. And still the wobbly know it all pan sits half on and half off the ever increasing hob space. Great isnt it? Practice two wobbles in an attic then whirl around flamboyantly. Flailing jumping arms and legs in a mish mash of seasoning. Sprinkled. Now go and paint a pretty flower on a sleeve. Nice. Lovely. And it is in the far reaches that a lot of ornately dressed melons queue to purchase loaves of bread at noon. Haha to all of that. And a curd of curry. Xxxxx ornithological Z z z

Think I'm just gonna bum around today
If you don't mind that old expression
Literally, I'm gonna goof off and waste time
Feeling lazy in a state of vegetation
These days are happening a lot more often
Became a senior, then suddenly plonk
Maybe it's because of my afternoon naps
I watch the tube and then zonk
Need to get active like the good old days
A whipper snapper all full of beans
The world was my oyster, yuck I hated oysters
Wearing skin tight faded blue jeans
Love bumming around, it's good for the soul
It also puts hair on your chest
Now ladies, I really love nice smooth boobies
So ya better stay active I suggest
Phew! Got quite hot and bothered for a bit
At my age, better cool it I'd say
Gonna goof off, waste time, vegetate for a bit
Eating bonbons, ogling ladies all day!

*This silly limerick was inspired by James Fraser. He often compares himself to an
eagle and I had an attachment to an owl that used to live in my backyard. He
challenged me to write a poem on a combination of the two: "Owglet." This one's
for you, James!
Ogling Owglet flew to the Bahamas
To catch a glimpse of Bahama Mamas
So sexy they seemed
But, boy, he turned green
They traded in his nest for Obama's

A Brazilian women makes a beautiful wife,
She can make you forget your duties in life.
Obama’s mind boggled, he just stood and ogled;
At the pretty young delegate all dressed up in pink;
But its errors like these, a masculine tease,
Which can raise in the news a terrible stink.
Until now we believed, Frances President Sarkozy;
Was a contented male with his Carla so cosy.
Yet the shutterbugs present at the G8 summit,
Watched his stature so big, so easily plummet.
It goes to show, there’s one thing for sure.
The female figure is a terrific lure.
Whether you be president or a royal king?
You’ll still fall to temptation, seeing this sensuous thing.
