No breeze to start this day
Air as still as a snail In ponder
Oh! look a-yonder
Sunshine don’t need no wind
To usher her in
Obtrusive to night
Separation by light
Just as the Word say

I stress about the times I have failed
Agonizing about what I can’t change
Melting into mush as solid as my self-worth
No, I don’t regret it
Overall it was liberating
Tonight I might finally get to sleep soundly
Obtrusive thoughts won’t cloud my nightmares
Knives in my back can finally be removed
At least I was happy for a moment
You’re proud of me now, right?

Require the rain to reign in raising the grain.
While the umbrellas are up, don't strain.
We must persevere in the face of weather
That doesn't imply if it's freezing or hot.
And it wouldn't infer if we like it or not.
Drops of downpour landed on my brow.
There was no shade, I had some of it on the bough.
Mists are becoming thicker and more obtrusive.
Rain is dropping quickly as the mud gets slicker.
I made plans to manage with what I bore thicker.
My palm was firmly gripped by a moist duvet.
My hair is damp and sodden, and I start to sweat.
I made every effort to tuck my head.
I ran as quickly as I imagined I would.
Regardless, ignoring the previous hood.
I was urged to the floor and fell wholly over.
I accept that is all I'm persuading the sober.
without having planned ahead of time.
that was anticipated and came to pass.
If there's nothing visible, assay to bear a brass.

As she stood there, waiting.
Waiting for a sign, a reason perhaps,
I'm glued to the television, knowing
Her world is about to collapse.
The pain in her heart, is mine
too. Her eyes all cried out, staring,
directly at the camera, I can sense it
in my bones, it's obtrusive, glaring.
I hear she screamed when she saw,
the pool of blood and people oscillating.
Her whole world destroyed, in a moment,
truly vile, nauseating.
I'm a mere spectator, in this dysfunctional
world. Forcing my thoughts, evaluating.
And there she is, fighting every day,
running, crying, dying, alternating.
I move around my house, helplessly.
For I only know her pain, not understand it,
hating the world, the people, everyone,
for the crimes they didn't commit.
Will she get the justice she deserves?
I do not know, but I do know
that tonight, we'll both won't sleep,
we'll both see him, alive, breathing, a shadow.

Corruption and Covid 19 both a virus raiding our planet,
Only socialism works as in Finland in Scandinavia,
Realistically corruption has bankrupted countries, quad tripled poverty
Ruined our God given bountiful earth, brought it to its knees
Utopia that is just a mere word no country has it,
Perhaps Iran and America will go to war and we get caught in the middle,
This corruption has become insane, Russians itching to do the same,
Integration of all colours creeds and nations essential, poor and wealthy alike
Only severe repercussions will result if we don’t take action now,
Nothing seems to erase this filthy greed which has become so obtrusive.

Are we man or machine
Who knows what I mean?
You show on the scene
As if it’s routine
We raise our ire
Don’t learn from our priors
So you leave me in dire
When you see me on fire
On this looming tight wire
I hang from the spire
Deflecting piles and piles
Of obtrusive gunfire
Then when I fall
Will that be all
Will you pick me up?
Or say that's dumb luck
As I see it stands now
You’re wearing a crown
You think you’re higher
If not by stature than attire
So the answer is no
It already shows

Pancake Batter Bessie
She makes flapjacks so fine
Avoiding corn syrup
With Tabasco, liver and onions sublime.
We try to stop her
But she is obtrusive and a ghost
Where we make our own batter
We hide it with our toast.
For Bessie will take that batter
And add extra stuff galore.
Peanut butter and sausage
Corn, pickles, oranges and more.
Bessie empties our pantries in the middle of the night
And grills up inventive pancakes that fill every counter in sight.
Our mother has asked her to stay out of her kitchen.
Pancake Batter Bessy’s creative juices can’t for they are always itch’n.

The thing I've wanted most in life
To make my stay here conclusive
I've tried and tried, but then, alas
"Carefree" has been most elusive
There's always one more check to write
Or one more thing so obtrusive
Carefree seems just ahead at times
But the world then turns abusive
I search for quiet, peaceful days
To those times I'm most conducive
It always seems I'm almost there
And end up at best contusive
And so my time on Earth runs out
My goal has been most illusive
God grant me just one carefree day
And I will come home effusive

The cat has your bone structure.
It turned up yesterday as thin as a velvet spider,
its eyes brimming and aglow.
What have you been doing with her?
I know the dog came with me as a ghost,
it pants in my ear most nights.
The cat died in your bed, after I left.
Ghost pets are more obtrusive,
they demand to be still relevant,
still worth keeping.
The cat, like you,
has fallen out of love with me.
Yet it’s purrs when I am feeling sad,
as if to remind me
not to forget you, or it.

The gibbous moon between its full and new stage
Seeing in the sky on a clear night
As bright as it is part is seen and part is not
Like a hunched back camel in an Arabian sea of sand
Fan by the spacious wind it gleams from the shine of the Sun
Forcing itself obtrusive outward
Transmitting brightness to the whole world
Like the Son of God who shines for all to see
Accepting His brilliant light
Which come to all both day and night

Parasites, these
unremembered memories
unbidden guests
made themselves at home
within my breast
And suckled in silence
‘til lifeblood waned
vitality drained
only traces remain
of who I was
Now I have become
an ungracious host
shadowy ghost
in a hollow shell
with nothing to feed
these guests’ great need
Odd sensation of wriggling
I feel them digging
their way out of my skin
as alarmed I view
their fight for survival
breaking through
Parasites, these
obtrusive memories
no longer silent
swollen full of violent
past imagery
painful to see
(NOTE: This is NOT a new write- I actually wrote this in 2015, but I thought it might give someone else an idea for the "Remembering What You Want To Forget" Poetry Contest)...

Oh! Mr. Moon
I know you will think this highly irregular.
Can you give me an interview real soon?
I am trying to get the scoop on you.
I know you are particular
About who your friends are.
Can you tell me something about the
Evening star, North star and Morning star
With out being obtrusive
What we have here is all inconclusive.
Is there a Day star
From where I am at the Shooting star
And the Falling star
Look spectacular
Through my binoculars.
Can you give me anything from a far?
I know you think this is bizarre
But in order to get the truth I have to go
Stellular.

Blackness in sorrow,
Became my Soul loss honor-
Life had simply begun,
But thrown away sent by pen-
Pieced up darkness pillow concrete
Wrapped round guilt's sullen sadness
Feeling sealed muddled-
Once believed they threw my life away,
Now know I chose this obtrusive stay-
Hope for serenity all is fake,
Ghosts of memory's lies awake-
Much to learn nothing for certain,
Here I am kindred kindhearted-?
