Dark Waters

Emotional Burdens Set Sail on Dark Waters Lagoon
Adrift, Under the Soft Light of the Waxing Crescent Moon
Subtle the Reflection, the Tapered Lunar
Gently Glistened Dark and Murky Ethereal Water
The Rippled Surface Parted to Embrace Oshun's Daughter
Dark Waters, Uncharted Enchanted Tantric Whispers
With Urgency, Implores the Mystic Explorer
Seeking Light in the Dark
Hoping for Star Lights to Illuminate a Path
Opaque and Obscure Neptunian Watery Depth
Bubbles revealing a Treasure Cave where Creativity is Kept
Nurturing Seeds of Aspiration
Dark Waters Incubate Newly Conceived Inspiration
Piscean Streams of Motivation Needed
To Aide the Birth of the Water Lily Seeded
Dark Water, Dark Moon Daughter
Now Submerged In Blissful Abysmal Depths
Dreamy Trance, Her Secrets the Dark Waters Kept.

NEPTUNIAN SARCOPHAGUS

Because it is the archangel hypnotizng
you into losing yourself in that thin treadmill
at the archane center of advanced transurfing
& remember what that demagogue Rex Hemphill
said. This is why it's best to imagine one's skull
as a chamber of fetal hair waiting to sprout
into a fetching pompadour & it is cool
that you readily chased out that tenacious tout;
besides, you still didn't have the gumption to reveal
where did those tomatoes go. did they just now squeal
like an army of rats enjoy an exorcism?
'Wanton warriors witness wondrous witticism'
muttered & uttered the judge & that made you hate
your loathsome self's guts with abandon & fury.
That's why you can't trust a cod who is illiterate;
specially if those bald tomatoes ran away.
Even a Neptunian sarcophagus will know
now. Dear scallawag, where did the tomatoes go?

Premium MemberRaging Storm

When the storm raged, I stood by the river.
Neptunian furrows bloom when I frown.
Navy blue lightning struck my brow, shiver.
When the storm raged, I stood by the river.
Striving to crook and praise the sky silver.
The wind is blowing then the tide will sound.
When the storm raged, I stood by the river.
Neptunian furrows bloom when I frown.

16 Year Old Me

You used to be alive
More alive than the life that surrounded you
Blinded by their lies
That blood ain't thick anymore

The apologies don't fit the new frame
Time is god and you ain't wise to praise it
The free neptunian been tricking you
I'll send you a love letter from Saturn soon...

But For a Talk With Critias

Imagine a hoary and hide-bound tome,
A translation of an ancient Greek text.
Sift 'mongst the lines, and through the details comb,

Referenced there find what has so men perplexed,
Hand-me-down quotes of a third hand account
From Egypt's priests scrolls...of a country hexed.

The thinnest hints 'bout a volcanic mount...
Tales of a people who challenge gods could...
A city ringed by harbors, three in count.

Wonders, grandeur, and all that was deemed good,
Storied in culture and philosophy,
Destroyed by a cataclysm not withstood.

True the story or an artifice be?
Platonic ramble? Neptunian get?
This utopia which has named a sea...

Believe? I want to, but convinced? Not yet.
The legend of Cleito's ten sons stays strong...
The world reminds us lest we try t'forget.
If true, it sings th;words of man's oldest song.

Fantasy? Real?
Atlantis of dreams...
Canst thou ever be found?

Pluto Downgraded

Note-- The Tulsa World Newspaper published my prose version of this in February
1999 and I wrote this version later.

Poor orphaned Pluto is out in gloom and frigid cold
Considered an outsider, his bitter sorrow unfolds
Demoted from planet status he had enjoyed for years.
He lost his brothers and sisters, amidst a flood of tears.

He will dearly miss them though thousands of miles apart.
All nine were family members with camaraderie at heart
For seventy years they claimed him as they circled round the sun
Now he’s no longer orbiting ethereal space in fun.

He asks, “Why do earthlings think they are so very smart?
You’d think they’d be aware of my spinning work of art
Just a trans-Neptunian Object with ice caps at my poles?
Astronomers will ponder when to outer space I stroll.”
