Why do we write negative poems? 09-08-25

It’s raining outside-
no, more than that.
The rain falls in blocks,
thick curtains that turn the world to ash and silver,
smothering it in the hiss of splattering drops.

Outside my old home
stood a bamboo tree, four meters tall.
On days like this
(when I wasn’t welded to the TV)
I’d watch its branches bow and sway,
like a fishing rod straining
against some

Essence Poem. 
No need, indeed, chaff and chatter,
Positive hocus focus, doesn't matter.

Size Matters

When I think of food and drink,
it's no surprise
the question does arise,
with booze some choose to let it breathe
and defer their bottle of wine,
I prefer to savour the flavour
and give mouth to mouth to mine.

Some say, “The glass is half full,”
with accent on the positive,
some see the glass half empty,

Why do I have these everyday?
Where do they come from anyway?
Once I awaken the voice begins.
And doesn't stop until days end.
Who is that voice inside of me?
That daily thrives on negativity.
It never has good things to say.
Complains continually throughout my day.
"What's with that person walking by?"
"They didn't even bother saying hi!"
"Why did he or she

Travel Slow

If and when you pass through this world,
Make it mighty slow.
If you pay attention to everything
People say as you go,
You will always be tired,
And kept in a stew,
Because a negative tongue
Will always have something to do.

Positive Not Negative

Appreciated flame in icy winter night
Jealousy is a true deep sign of love
Positive jealousy is a wise dear light
Much jelly ices cooking slip slide
Like crazy negativity damage sight

Positive attitude towards Life

Guys, why only a few persons out of thousands triumph?,                  
 Answer for this simple question is positive attitude only,                  

Rehearsal

They forbid my travels, and money transfers
A  hostage of criminal times
To all that is negative I am immersed
Expectedly drowning in wine
You are lucky to stay at the positive side
It’s an obvious thing to admit
A sort of dialectical suiside
Which I often forget to commit
Exhausted, I’m lying in bed the whole day
Eyes closed, but I’m not

Follow your Dream

Sometimes you are good, but you just don't believe,
You have negative thoughts, you let your talent blow away on the breeze.

Do what you want, you could write even draw,
It doesn't matter what you do, if your happy its never a chore.

Put it  out there for others to see,
Some will like it and some just

Delusion

Delusion must be a comforting thing;
To see the world just how you like.
To give you purpose every day
And let reality take a hike.

But don't be troubled 
When I say that;
Delusion
Is just
fine
For the psychopaths and the egg shell brained, swimming in life's brine

A Fly In My Poetry Soup

There’s a fly in my poetry soup
It turquoise tries to throw me for loop

With negative Nancy words of discontent
Or fuschia fancy lines littered dissent

Poetry Soup is for friends for fun
Lighten up you’re under gold sun

Be green seed no need to be a gun
Firing off rudely red notes to anyone

I learned my lesson in faith
Let the

final account

before life begins
we accrue fictional sins
so guilt always wins
lest any deem themselves free
to alter reality

dollars and distance
do not measure existence
despite persistence
constant debt all but assured
within this credit card world

is living better
starting off as a debtor
shame's main abettor
always in the negative
when all else is relative

to death all succumb
becoming what we become
in part and in sum
being soon

My advanced years is teaching me,
about looking back & questioning why?
I made some rational decision one day,
that now, years later, has no retry.

But delving into some past decision,
is powerless to correct any perceived wrong.
So I’ve gorged on what life has plated,
at a cafe where I’ve felt I didn’t belong. 

In the negative infinity between us

In the negative infinity between us,
In the desolate field of wounded hearts,
Where echoes of sorrow roll at night,
We remained, separated from our slumbering dreams.
Like two comets lost in the dark,
With different trajectories and pale lights,
We collide in silence, sparking lost hopes,
In the empty void between us, without our sacred ten gathering.
