Diaphonous
The LILT of a DIAPHONOUS melody
Clothed in night blooming perfumes
Lingers as sheer smiles of honeyed moonlight
Glide across the still LAGOON
In streams of silk ripples
Humming wistful music
In the hollows of blue dusk
And hallowed shimmer of adagios
A pastoral pause, to rest
In soft hymns of lingering grace notes.
When does the sand stop the shark?
When will I understand the
simplest song?
Why do the heavy heaves
of my (core of a nut
in the pit of this) heart
respond to piano?
Do I always fantasize
about lost romance
played to music?
Helen Jane Long
isn't making the air beautiful tonight
just for me
But, thankfully for me tonight,
she helped me reignite
my own self-beauty, and sight
The strings of my Stradivarius
have waited too long
for you
Crows are breaking the sky
with frantic, angry feathers
and lawn mowers cut straight lines
with the raucous killing of sound
Quieter, more sinuous
strings should fill the thirsty air
Play ‘Promontory’
by Trevor Jones and Randy Edelman
so I can feel
the meaning behind things
through metal
and resonant wood
You control the bow
like a desperate, dying dancer
creating new colors
through the rubbing
of horsehair to steel
and goat gut
Beautiful things sometimes come
from raw origins
That I were your Stradivarius
Two bodies…
wild whispering bodies,
intertwined,
touching,
longing,
stirring,
desiring,
trembling together.
Huddled beneath the warm blankets
with hearts racing,
softly,
silky,
hot,
wet desires of love…
romantic,
mischievous,
alluring,
climactic…
deliciously singing
of desire,
of love,
of life!
In ohio hills
echoes of country music
beautiful sunset
In appreciation of Jimi Hendrix and Mary Shelley
I am sick of minor authorities,
and my boring life, and those stupid fools -
of my job, order, and priorities.
Strike this mundane existence and these rules.
Rise, Jimi, with your electric guitar.
Ghost of your wild, psychedelic flower -
flash stirring midnight lightning from afar.
Jolt me with true, tempestuous power.
Nature, release me from the doldrums' grip,
Blast away, these cloudless, temperate days.
Come on baby, bring it. Now, let 'er rip.
Light up this flesh, these bones through purple haze,
Like Frankenstein and his beautiful wife,
the lightning and thunder bring this beast life.
i hear the birds sing
a soft melody in song
music to my ears
Elegance in shine
Glisten in beauty
Beyond Steinway & Sons
Music tone smooth
The ivory sounds all their own
Inspired rhythm
Vibes energized
Accents the mind
Puts a smile on faces
Divine, Superior and embrace
Assured with true applause
Offering encouragement
Note messages transcending
Musical notes more than just pages
Entertainment amazes
Golden piano of richness of wealth
Distinction and presentation
Being the best all it’s worth
Horizontal from Earth to Heaven
Reaching new heights
Golden charm
Withholding from within.

In awe with a standing ovation overview
you feel me?
i'm talking living rooms, offices, kitchens
who knows when a moment of inspiration;
bent red; an american bullfrog ingenuity
too much murmuring;
so when you ask to hold that thought
in a meeting, you tip-toe over
to the organ, turn up the volume,
sit and play that sound that melts
away the furniture; there's a shift
and a pulling away of the tiles.
"play it... loud." tears on the subway
give me twenty-five pedals
and i'll carry church organ pipes
under my arm through the town
unimaginable sonic hand grenade
to make the wibblies fall out
a
single,
beautiful,
clear, golden note
starts a symphony,
and a fresh, new Spring bud
becomes a pretty flower.
an acorn grows into an oak,
just as a young lad once made a life.
but that's only half of the story.
even an oak's limbs one day dry,
and a blossom's petals drop.
when the music's over,
the glory lingers
as an old lad
wistfully
shuffles
out.
Mother Nature dressed bushes and trees with jackets of ice overnight
Morning arrived as sun shined through like glass in the light
The landscape was so luring and magical to see
All the plants standing on winter's stage eloquently
I thought of all the musicians, what they bring to us all
When their lyrics express pain we feel as we fall
Their courage to sing truth, that maybe we can't speak
Singing on that stage, erasing all that seems so bleak
As I walked on winter's path, ice melted, dripped its tears bare
The healing had begun with jackets off, nothing could compare
I know those brave musicians helped more than they could know
Just as mother nature can create such a dazzling show!

If there’s really no limitation
Heaven is my dream destination
A place where all the best people are
The beautiful ones and our Father God
You get to meet people from all times
The greatest souls with the best minds
And all the animals who you love
That went to rainbow bridge above
The music there would be so sweet
Melodic and smooth unique of peace
I imagine the gardens so plush and green
Flowers and waterfalls clean pristine
No sadness there nor sickness at all
Everyone there happy having a ball
Laughter in the world of colours of the mind,
Beauty in the music heard behind the eyes.
Freedom from the shackles of his kind —
Laughter in the world of colours of the mind.
He felt the light as music, sound as flame,
Living in the glow where day and dreaming rhyme.
Alone at last, he found the song behind the light,
And drifted softly into endless time.
Laughter in the world of colours of the mind.
