Premium MemberOf Fair Weather

Of fair weather, it holds me in its charms.
Godspeed of June, be jealous for light rays.
She’s heard my plea, now let me play and smile.
The pleasantries; hotlanta held at bay.

And withstanding the green and merry glow,
the yellow blooms, the aha reds, sky blues,
I reminisce and kiss and sigh, soaring
with feet of dendrites’ pulse and oxygen.

The rush of oaks, maples, and bonny crépes;
the sweep of wind through open drive - alive!
The ferny mimosas, feathery pink -
Sensations flip; I’m head-to-toe, euphoric.

Teeter-totter…not yet! The sun’s broadcast
will keep the mornings cool - ‘lanta in June!

Premium MemberUnderneath the Mimosas

Underneath the mimosas,
arched and pink,
leaning on Summer,
I slow down
good thing
a truck
in my lane
arrival time
In heaven paced
because
I listen
when God speaks

How about a movie?
But first let's go to brunch
One or two mimosas
We can skip the lunch

Midtown at The Regal
Showtime is at 3:00
I have two first row tickets
For "Breakfast at Tiffany's"

I know it's one of your favorites
That's why I want to go
A day that's really special
Made just for you, you know?

After, a stroll through Central Park?
Let's people watch 'til it gets dark
And I may ask you on a lark

If it's okay to hold your hand
A horsedrawn carriage, a hot dog stand
No, that's not our dinner, first a band

I know the club for you and me
The Waylon is the place to be
Smokin' hot and all country

And after, when we've had our fill
Of Manhattan club scene meets Nashville

We'll find some late night bar and grill
And finally eat, relax, and chill

To be with you would be a thrill
I'll plan these things for you, I will

Someday, one day...until, until

Many moms make a mishmash of marshmallow melon month of rites
Marmie and Magnus mined minx’s minestrone meatball mites
Magnificent Marmaduke mollycoddles minute rice making mush.
Merry majestic Mallificent minced magnetic mimosas in a rush.

Mushroom men marbled Marley’s meatballs mooing with madness.
Muddobber’s melancholy miniscule mites were wooing with sadness.
Magnificence of Manny’s marsh mediates in miniscule rites of badness.
Ma makse a mishmash of marshmallow melons, and it is pure rad-ness.

Premium MemberFlowers In Spring

The cheerful freesias peep
Out of the cold wet soil
And share their fruitful fragrance
With lovers of the moon.

Spring is already with us
Mimosas form their blooms
We celebrate Women's Day
And sprays will abound I'm sure.

Oh everyone is happy
Except our poor Josefa
Who works in snowbound Snowbird Utah
And yearn for our new spring blooms.

But dear Jo, how I do wish,
That Spring has never come
For already I'm sneezing
Spring fever is around.

past the mimosas
two kids in a car
mama walks with them
they can legally drive on
the sidewalk and hold their cell

Phone Home

Phone home.

Make things like they used to be
Playing cards til midnight
Laugh, talk, squawk, chips, dips,
having a fit
Over lost rounds

Listening to Dad
Expound on…
Doesn’t matter, he knew
Car tires or relationships
Expert on all subjects

Phone home
Let’s drink mimosas
Til 3 one afternoon
Then jump in the pool
Like fools we’ll
Synchronized swim

Phone home
And we’ll talk and talk and talk
And reminisce and commiserate
Cry and hug,
Bond, get back
to that space where we once were
Us.

But that’s not Us,
We don’t bend or kowtow
Stiff upper lips
Mouths zipped,
Broken hearts encrypted

Phone home.

Neptune Continues

July saw you drinking mimosas
underneath a tree that wept shadows.
You were never one for cloudless days
by the sea. Silver wax over golden dust.
You are beginning to realize
blue might be the loneliest colour
when caught without the sun.

Yet only the ocean can speak of love in any tense.
Look at how it creates and destroys
at the same time.
Look at how
it carries on.

Premium MemberBeach

Mango mimosas on the beach,
High tea on the terrace,
Fireside evening cocktails in the sand,
Experience a world as enchanting as this.

A paradise with white sand shores
And crystal clear waters,
Enjoy the serenity of island
And the freedom of our resort
Clothing is optional throughout.

In every outthrust headland,
In every curving beach,
In every grain of sand,
There is the story of the Earth

Sit in reverie,
Watch the changing color of the waves.
