A Dungeon

My mind is a slippery slope
Once in, it’s hard to get out,
Set in layers of intricate meshes
You’ll get entangled in my evil ways…
Beware, stay away!

Boost the gleam and dazzle
sibylline embers shine in the gnome jade
spangled goddess sparkle

It meshes cosmic toggles of
golden clusters

on the burning dusk of a phoenix's wings.
chorus tunes that croon kudos.
peel away.

shepherds and seraphim
translucent term chorus
with cerulean rhythm

amidst the ictus of an elfish presong.
my pulse quickens.

fresh dawn awakens
happy new year 2023

Premium MemberGlimpse of a Toddy Tapper

That skin-and-bone-like,
Chocolate-colored veteran,
Fragile personality accession;
Ascends tallest of palms,
Committed to toddy-tap,
As it’s his hereditary profession...!

Driving upward and down,
Like a smart willing monkey,
He reaches the highest of height;
Sitting over the petite petioles,
As though it's a comfort car-seat,
Sets all spiders - meshes aright...!

Clears the now-soiled toddy-pots,
Crops the prolific flower-stumps,
Rectifies, like a surgeon, all clots;
Goes around the fronds gliding,
As though skiing on sky,
Support of nothing but angle-knots...!

Of all measures that attracts me,
Is his hurdling noble gallantly,
From one tree to another,
By way of stem-bridges;
There-from, like a rat,
Or as a missionary-squirrel,
On hard earth he reaches,
As though in water, he ditches...!

Premium MemberFall Into Decay

A marriage once in mint condition,

     now besmirched; fallen into decay

          Entangled in the meshes of infidelity;

              "other woman" leads husband astray

The Baby In the Apple Flowers

With the green lines of lemon leaves

It was a pink drawing of dense desires

Rising from the dream and sweat pearls

Hand in hand at the hyacinth infusion

For a new pulsating poetry of life that

One day would look up at the towers

The feet fondling the grassy ground

An ocean in an oyster so cute and sound

The fruits a tree wishes to bear are many

In taste smell countenance and colours

The brain holding the pen looks for

A few lines that would tickle the sea

The lake under the thick ice in the Mars

Is striving to smile with a life yet unknown

We think, we dream, we wish and we live

Before the departure the flowers we leave

We had invested a whole apple that came

While churning together our flesh and bone

As they got lost into the crimson meshes

Of the old flame that keeps the river flowing

And now our eyes await the apple flowers

The sunshine before and moonlight behind

Losing His Way

Author: Chen Runping

He came up from the main road
While ahead watching numerous footpaths in the field,
Crisscrossed as a web.
He paced up and down in the web
And his thickly dotted footprints
Filled up the grid meshes
One by one.
Hardly can he
Walked through the web
And still paced up and down.
watching the years gone like river water
He has already had scales on his body
While his hands and feet retrograded into fins
And downstream
With which he struck violently and
Lost

Apart

Baby, who am I without you?
I know my goals and dreams,
But now my own happiness meshes with yours.
I’ve found joy in doing this.
To go back to being a team of one sounds so foreign.
I want to be with you and become one, but not a lone wolf
In this great, big world.
Your love has captured me through & through.
And I don’t want to dream alone anymore when I’ve got you.

Premium MemberSummertime

Summertime soothes and refreshes,
Softens our rough edges,
Lifts us from life’s dredges
And grants fresh feel meshes.
Spring announces time to go out
By popping newness all about.
Spring wakes all our senses
So we drop droopy defenses
And allow summer’s coming ways
To frolic cheer through our days.

Let us jump, run and swim,
Then do it all over again.
Sunshine romps with family
Enhance their love’s tapestry.
Sun playtime with friends
Grows memories that mend.
Summertime adventures
Seek anxieties surrender.
Peace and joy clenchers
Are spun by sun’s splendors.

Absorb summertime’s sun-fun sphere
To fortify hearts for another year.

The Turkey's Complaint

The vague patrolling recollection
sits like a fat white swan on her nest,
cuddling the unborn nakedness, fragile, soundless!

He caresses her wings,
she beats them frantically
as his cold old lips meshes and folds.

Dragging, he goes, she crackles
to the red-stained woods, painted
lovingly with millions that entered before.

His touch blackens and grips
She feeds on youths she hid in her thoughts,
Their time winding down, seconds after seconds.

And with the rage of Moses’s staff,
the loud shed quivers and her incantation feathered gown
sweeps in the red wind. Done, revelation!

The decapitated fowl runs in the eye of a God.
The red man ascends like Lazarus
coming, coming for the next victim of his plague.

Inside my coldness, I feel warmness,
I feel restfulness, I am papery and ready
for his touch of death. Thanks giving to clouds.

Premium MemberIn Winter

Stillness sweeps horizontally, then
Swells vertically. It is zero below
South wind meshes with north wind; it
Sends us clamoring for feathers of goose, we're
Secluded in layers. Closer and closer we seek
Somebody; a lover, next of kin, The Mighty Comforter.

Premium MemberFamily of My World

Sweet pleasures kindle a family of hearts
whispering amen for ripples of affection
on homely broths, glazed with smiles
to wrap dawn and night-time into a vessel
of holy gifts, spilling naturally for all roofs
across continents: blessings of life's harvest
shared fully, far richer than ancestral sprouts
birthing rapture of universal wholeness , so divine.

And this my neighbor's colony meshes like
one tree: spirits content as a world
bows to the giving, the loving, the tender
yearning of kinship near or far.
On my lane ,I greet a couple next door
wrapped under an umbrella in the rain...
that by sending them my light, my prayer;
I feel a connection with everyone
illuminating unified kindness which bequeaths
days more ethereal than sunset’s silent intent.

The Autumn On the Threshold

frantic talent
among willow shadows
capsized boats
in trawls meshes
the spiders spinning brocades

lights at the window
someone waiting for us
an ardent desire floating in the air
set free
the moon soal wandering

a cock
sifting the stars with kikeriki
in the lake full of waterlilies
waves of silvery clouds putting out the night lantern
slowly the dawn caressing the forehead

under the feather sole
bridges lines
can be seen
far away beings coming nearer through
their hearts accord strikes

contrasts
deepening disappearing
in a continuous back and forth
a wind shaking the white chrysanthemums
the cottages hats appearing from the fog

though it is hot
autumn stitch
shaking the nut trees
the fisherman’s wife is alone
all over baked apples steam

unhealed wounds
weeps towards the murky sky
at the poor’s gate
there is an icons painter
getting a bowl of food

with the love colours
the trees and sky are painted
my friend
I give you a tear
of its light

Premium MemberDivine Passion

Two pleasantly caressing forms envelope
Blood rushing in, filling every pore
Her heart meshes, blends in, develop
A flash, a pulse, each breath does explore

An enticing glow embellishes
Her heartstrings tug and pull divinely about
I feel overwhelmed, she grants some wishes
Our lines are open, our feelings are surely stout

We roll, we inhale, we delight in the air
Passion controls the hearts of the two of us
Hold me close, let us explain how much we care
Our eyes hold firm, a caress, an expression thus

She’s overflowing with a willpower
Significance in her appearance
We hold our love that our lives will empower
Romance at its highest, a form of endearance
